12 Steps to Not Watching Season Severed

12. Keep busy. Work, school, make it a habit to go to the grocery store, or the bookstore to buy Advocate ;)

11. Check pens often.

10. Read a book, do some art work, cast a spell that will help in lower the ratings.

9. Chat in the kitty chat room if such a thing is working on your computer.

8. Rent a movie?

7. Drink Beer?

6. If you have to watch, watch at a friends house and play the drinking game. At this rate it's not had since the writing is so horrible on the show anyways.

5. Write a fan fiction. Preferably smut.

4. Read old fan fiction. Choose a story each tuesday, and make sure to turn off that television!

3. Do homework? Always a valiable option for those kittens in school of some sort.

2. Listen to music. Music helps. Music helps a lot.

1. Hopefully you should be Buffy free by following these steps. Please feel free to add any of your own if someone think of some. It's a long and painfull process, or...at least it would have been if the writing was any good anymore ;)

13. Emigrate to Australia and go to bed early.

14. Read the Wildfeeds - I just read the one for CWDP - F***ing Hell! It's enough to put you off the show 4ever.

It is better to be Amber Benson for a day than to live as Joss Whedon for a lifetime.

Oh just reading about those Tara death spoilers last season did it for me. Ever since I've felt zero temptation to watch anything past that last kiss in SR. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

I fell asleep before the show ever came on, which is kinda sad when you think about it...

14. Watch Buffy.

Just make sure it's the repeats on FX. Season 4 looks wonderful now.

You know, it's a real deal relationship and that's why people can relate

15. Take the hour that you would have spent watching NotBuffytheVampireSlayer, and do something to forward gay and lesbian rights. You could volunteer, write letters and e-mails, contact your legislator, or, if you have extra money, write out some donation checks.

16. Spend time with a teenage girl, and let her know that she doesn't have to go through life waiting for a man to save her. If she's straight, explain to her that smart, powerful girls know better than to go for the bad boys, despite UPN's latest BtVS promo. Convince her that there are many good, decent men out there who will not be threatened by intelligent, independent, empowered women.

17) Switch to Gilmore Girls! Hey, it worked for me.

18) If I want to be depressed, I will simply watch my local news, at least they know how to balance it with uplifting stories!

Cancel the especially fast internet connection you only got in the first place for downloading BtVS eps that aren't going to be aired in your country (i.e season 7). Also, stop downloading every promo, reading every transcript and re-watching every bloody episode of s7 in much false hope that somehow it will get better.

Simple, eh?

Hello Kittens-

Step 19 or 20- Write some W/T fanfic yourself.

Get a decent Beta reader (just go to Pens and read carefully) and think of what you'd like W/T to be doing. Spells, spaceships or just sitting in front of a fire with MKF purring on laps, just make it W/T. Pens readers are very good about constructive comments (actually, they've been way to nice to me) and Kittens don't flame. But Kittens are curious and they do ask a lot of questions!

After you get your story/poem up you'll get feedback. Be sure to respond. I dropped the ball there. Better now. That's about the limit of my advice, except for have fun.

Thank you for your time,

Jixer

Sometimes I think about two women doing a spell, and then I do a little spell by myself.

22) Let your older (and supposedly adult) brother get you hooked up on Star Trek Voyager instead. Y'know, Sci Fi isn't such a bust at all, if you're looking to seriously escape reality. :)

I'm with Puff - I just bought S4 on DVD and it looks beautiful. I even like Riley and can't believe I've spent the last few years chanting 'Riley Sux!'

Let me see, corn-fed Iowa boy or vampire rapist? :puke

Of course, I also get to see the awe inspiring beauty that is :tara in DVD quality instead of RM! That might have something to do with it, hehe :love

24) Masturbate.

It has got to be a better use of time.

If you can get the friends you used to watch Buffy to join you, well that is your choice.
