Eliza D. has a development contract with FOX - and has brought whedon and Tim M. in as writers for a new show featuring her -- where get this - she is a blank slate that gets programed with a different personality each week.

See it sounds too much like "The Pretender" to me. I seriously doubt it will see too many episodes, this is Fox after all.

But more to the point, wasn't the same guy that was "done with TV" or something? He wanted to movies.

The truth is every few years he is going show fat head cause his ego can't stand not being paid attention too. The nice thing I have no desire to see it, or him. ED is cute and all, but whatever.

Quite a night (11/15) for ME escapees...

Kali Rocha has a recurring role in "Grey's Anatomy", in which tonight's episode included an appearance by D.B. Woodside.

And, as if that weren't enough, tonight's episode of "Supernatural" featured none other than Mercedes McNab playing...wait for it...a vampire! I guess some alumae haven't completely escaped their old ME roles after all. ;-)

Actually the funniest thing about Eliza's show is she met a certain someone for lunch to talk about her deal , and the certain someone's latest indie film project had stalled, and faster than you can say Dick Cheney search committee he made up a whole tv series on the spot. Really. Like magic, like I'm sure he had many other things to do these days. crickets chirping.

SMG is in a new film called "Southland Tales". It got terrible reviews (example: one reviewer called it "2 hours and 24 minutes of pretentious crap"),

Eliza's new show doll house is sounding worse and worse

she and the other characters get programed each week for assignments - some of which include sex - and then de programed - to a child like state

sounds like they are going to take people with the minds of children - and turn them into sex slaves etc - creepy - ED's character Echo is suppose to get recurring memories of who she is - didn't they already do something like this with a woman who was suppose to die for murder but got put into a "program" to be a killer for the gov or something?

I think I'll take a pass

Nicholas Brendon had an important featured role in last night's (11/21) episode of "Criminal Minds".

Interestingly, the way the appearance was set up (as a potential romantic interest for the Penelope Garcia character), he might just be making a return appearance in some future episode! :)

edited to add on 11/22

Thanksgiving evening turns out to be quite a night for BtVS vets!

First, on "Ugly Betty", Eliza Dushku made a delightful cameo appearance as a temperamental actress/model. All I can say is, my goodness but that girl is flexible (at one point she bent over backwards and touched the floor with her head!!!)--I guess I just forget how young and fit she is (she is, you will recall, younger than SMG).

This was followed by a featured appearance by none other than Seth Green in a performance as a post-surgery patient with an exposed carotid artery--all I can say is that the episode ended with a horrific sequence (worse than anything every shown on BtVS!) that was left as a cliff-hanger for next week: stay tuned. :yikes

Well! Torchwood on BBC 2 [the Dr Who spin off] was a bit of an eye opener tonight.

The first episode of the new season featured... get this.... James Marsters reprising his Spike persona as a renegade time agent who uses the Torchwood team to his own evil end.

So what we got was Spike without the peroxide job, but with the same attitude and waaaaay gay [although he fancied a poodle at one point :blush ] even to the extent of giving capt jack a couple of inches of tongue in a passionate snog fest.

he got his comeuppence by the end though, but from the trailers he'll be back creating mayhem for the regulars in much the same way he did on BtVS before JW decided to turn it into the Spike show.

I hope people caught SETH GREEN's hilarious turn on "Reno 911" Wednesday night (2/27). He plays the "manager" of a fast-food joint called "Burger Cousin", and there is a hilarious surprise twist at the end. :lol

Comedy Central repeats the show often.

I am delighted to report that Nicholas Brendon made another appearance last night (4/2) on "Criminal Minds" as the boyfriend of Penelope Garcia. He's looking pretty healthy, and I'd love to see him become a regular on the show. :)

James Marsters continues his gig as Braniac on "Smallville". There is also word that he will be in a film about Ted Bundy (which begs the question if it will be as good as Mark Harmon's film on the same subject of some 20 years ago...).

AMY ACKER is scheduled to appear in the film "Fire and Ice" on the SciFi Channel tomorrow (10/18).

Edited 10/19 to add review: Although I know it's nearly heresy to say so on this board, I enjoyed this film much more than "Gryphon", even though the plotlines were similar (young-tomboyish-princess teams up with handsome-young-warrior to fight an evil monster). For one thing, the spfx were better (the dragons in question were envisioned as monstrous-looking butterflies), though I didn't care for the synthesized score (used most likely because it was cheap). The acting was superior to "Gryphon", especially that of Amy and John Rhys-Davies (who, I'm sure, everyone remembers as Gimli the Dwarf from the LOTR Trilogy). Finally, even discounting the work of the stunt people, it was astonishing to see how athletic Amy can be, given that she is (I believe) the mother of three children!

Heresy? Well, burn me too. Without even having seen the movie you are talking about now, I´d be shocked and frankly a bit worried about your sanity if you had said you enjoyed Gryphon more. I cannot imagine anyone -and I do mean anyone- will ever manage to make a movie worse than Gryphon, not even if they try really really hard, and I´ve seen a few stinkers over the years and can imagine quite a lot. :stink

It's hard to believe that little Dawnie is now 23. I'm gettin' old. *sigh*

MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG has a featured role in the new NBC series "Mercy".

I saw the first episode. It seems like an attempt to make a network television version of the far superior cable series "Nurse Jackie".

I recently saw Charisma Carpenter in a really cheesy Butterfingers commercial. I thought it was ironic considering Cordelia trying to be an actress in Angel season 1.

Amy Acker has appeared in the dual role of a clumsy fairy (yes, you read it correctly) and a nun (!) in a take-off on the "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" story as part of the ABC series "Once Upon A Time". Since ABC is owned by Disney, they were even able to use a bnef quote from one of songs from the 1937 animated film. :D
