"So it sounds like M.E. did not originally intend to resurrect Spike, he would just have been a ghost if the Faith spin-off had gone ahead."

------------------------------------------------------------

Could that mean he'll be a ghost on Angel as well? It would take care of the two-vampires-with-a-soul problem. And it's not like ME are bursting with new ideas.

Maybe Spike will be a ghost on a motorcycle?

if they Freaken can bring back spike as a ghost for Faiths companion - then why the F**K couldn't they bring back TARA as such for Willow?

The spin-off would have been Faith...and the ghost of Spike.

The ghost of an already-dead person...isn't that kind of a double negative?

This is negative on so many levels.

I can't help feel that keeping Spike around because the ME crew like JM seems a poor excuse. And they keep saying that Spike is popular amongst Buffy fans when they really mean he is popular among the remaining Buffy fans. If you watched the show to the end you almost had to be a Spike or Spuffy fan.:spin

Willow: ...I have to tell you....

Tara: No, I understand you have to be with the person you l-love

Willow: I am

Alright, slightly different opinion here. JM isn't the only person that ME have kept beyond there original time. Alexis Denisof was only meant to be in 3 eps of Buffy, look what happened to him.

As I've said before, I don't personally have a problem with Charisma being out fo the show. I think Cordy as a character as gone as far as she can development wise. I'm more concerned with the way it's been done. No big send-off for her. And it looks, as others have speculated, that it's been done to make room for JM. Although it looks as though Vincent Kartheiser is leaving as well.

Ghost of Spike? NO!! That would have been very silly. My guess is is that Spike will be human in Angel, thereby fulfilling the Shanshu prophecy and causing no end of inner turmoil for Angel in Season 5.

However, IF they were prepared to have "Ghost of Spike" then "Ghost of Tara" or better still "Ressurected Tara" should be just as easy.

Joss has lied and betrayed a lot of people, how can he honestly expect anyone to trust him ever again about anything?

First off if they were painted into a corner over what to do with Cordy whose fault is that exactly? Give you a hint; not Charisma Carpenters.

Secondly if they have done everything they can with Cordy then they've done it twice over with Spike, what are they going to have him do on Angel that will be different from before?

Re: Ripper

There is a new TV series starting on BBC1 tonight called "Strange". The description in TV Times says:

Quote:
First in a drama series starring Richard Coyle as John Strange, a former priest turned modern-day demon hunter, following on from last year's pilot.

If this series is successful then it may cast doubt on the future of "Ripper", as the BBC may not want to commission another series with a similar concept.
