I am loving this new board! Sassette, the move inspired me to re-visit the complete story...a perfect way to spend the morning before I have to go to the family gathering. This is so good! Better than an Easter basket!!

ditto on the re-read.

i read so much fic that i can never keep up on story lines and authors that a convenient all in one post is enough to fill the little gaps that arise from missed updates and the like.

so incredibly glad that i managed to catch this one again!

although i have to admit, i skipped bits of it cos i had read it so many times over and over and over and over..

Insomnia has caused me to write a cheer

Postby jomarch » Sat Mar 30, 2002 9:12 pm

Hey all smitten squad members. We have a new cheer to commemorate the everything new. I think Pixie's giving out new uniforms as well and Owl has a couple of new formations for us!

Ready, Ok...

We are on a brand new board,

Some may say, oh Dear, Good Lord!

We move like Buffy and they sound like Giles,

It is sad we don't have the old files.

We love our new home and we're here to stay

Please Sassette give us an update today.

Gooooooooo Sassette!

Hi BM, well, I do! speak with one due to studying there most of my life.

So yes, English accents are mandatory for this cheer only. :)

Jomarch, you are truely the master of cheer writing. Just give me a few minutes to work on the English accent and I'll be ready to report for duty on the cheering field.

Oh and for those of you distressed over the loss of the pudding filled hottub, fear not! I have been hard at work and it's almost up and running again. However this time I thought I'd take a poll as to the flavour. Vanilla? Pistachio? What's the preference?

My Crazed Crack-Addled Weekend

Postby Sassette » Sun Mar 31, 2002 12:39 am

This - is not an update.

Sorry.

However, I just wanted to say hi to everyone who has made their way over here from the old novogate board - and to let y'all know that xita (bow before her ramfeezley jocundity!) has sent me the pages of the old thread. I haven't gone through them yet, or figured out EXACTLY what I'm going to do with them, but I'll let y'all know as soon as I do.

I also wanted to apologize for the lack of an update ... between painstakingly reposting every part (which, because I'm an idiot, I didn't actually have in a postable format, so I had to kind of wing it ;) ) and spending probably a few hours - yes HOURS (but, uhh ... not all at once) - sitting entranced by the Avatar That Dare Not Speak Its Name ... well, it's been a rather sick and sad weekend for me.

However - I'm gonna' go out, grab some food (McDonalds ... Quarter Pounder with Cheese.... Mmmm), a full pack of cigarettes (Marlboro Lights, in case anyone's wondering), a twelve-pack of soda (Always Coca-Cola!) then write until I just can't write no more.

Does that mean an update tonight? *sigh* I have no idea. I'm probably not going to post the next one unless I have it finished in its entirety. But hey - if I don't update tonight, and y'all need something to read ... there's lots of really good to EXCELLENT fic on this board, so I REFUSE to feel guilty. Flat out refuse. Yes, sir, no guilt here. This is a Guilt-Free Zone.

Aww, Schnikeys. I'll update as soon as I can, okay?

:lol :lol :lol Go jomarch!! I hope no one minds that my English accent was really, uh, bad.

CK, I vote to keep the chocolate pudding. The only other flavor of pudding I like is rice pudding, but a) it's Passover, so I can't eat it; and b) naked pudding baths in rice pudding could be...uncomfortable. Rice in (in this case) bad places.

Hey Smitten Squad, as we practice our new cheer, do you think we could try some of those moves where several cheerleaders throw another one in the air? Those always look so cool!

Still smitten! :love

Edited to add: Sassette, so sorry about those four and a half hours of your life you will never get back. Thanks for all your work in splitting your epic into chunks. Enjoy your dinner, and if you don't get the next part up, don't worry about us. We would never try to make you feel guilty...no not us, your loyal worshipping smittens. We prefer to call it...encouragement. *tosses some panties and a container of pudding (your favorite flavor) as encouragement*

Sassette, as much as I love your fic and crave an update, I don't think I could take the guilt associated with a decline in your health. Make sure you get a piece of lettuce, or tomato on that burger ok? Do it for me.

And Pixie: Good point about the rice pudding. Ow. that could have been bad, very bad. Chocolate one, other flavors zero.

And I for one am definitely up for some kitty tossing. Especially if the tossies are pantiless. ;)

Sassette,

Got hooked on this fic a while back and it's yet to let me down. That dream sequence was brilliant. Only Willow would do crosswords in her dreams. I'm impressed with the complexity and intelligence of the tale and your ability to still update so frequently. And I have to add to the chorus about your Anya. I won't soon forget that roadtrip. :)

Postby Bobos Mom » Sun Mar 31, 2002 2:37 am

CK - I vote for Flan. Kind of exotic, I know, but the thought of the squad in a tub o' flan gives me the tingles.

And panties? I know I'm tossing mine with abandon.

Sassette - take your time with the update. I'm a marlboro ultra light girl myself, but I'm right with you on the coca-cola!

Just checking in. Thanks so much for taking the time to repost all of your story, Sass. That must have been quite a job.

Flan. Flan. Tub-o-flan. That kind of rolls off the tongue doesn't it (and you can take that anyway you want).

Of course this begs the question: What will be our savoury filling?

My fake English accent mixed with my Brazilian accent made a very interesting addition to our new cheer... :) About throwing cheerleaders in the air, I'm rather strong so I wouldn't mind at all being on the ground to catch the flying ones, I can't think of many better thinks than that... ;)

Thanks for all your hard work posting the chapters, Sass. You rock! Your loyal smittens are ready to give you that special, uh, er, massage... it will surely help you to relax. At the end.

Chocolate pudding. Always.

Still No Update

Postby Sassette » Sun Mar 31, 2002 3:41 am

**Pixie: No worries ... all those extra posts and the almost immediate jump to Doll's Eye Crystal was well worth it -- and then there was the added bonus of getting the whole darn story into one gi-normous word file and not having to deal with the SLOW loading front page of this thing.

**tommo: I'm really glad you like it *G* And I must say, 'Final Exam' is excellent - just the basic premise of putting those two back in high school is extremely fun, and gosh, it's such a sweet story. Well, sweet and smutty. But, y'know? Those are the best kinds *G* And your posts might not say it anymore, but you'll always be the Smut Pimp to me. And Sweet Jesus, Ruth ... that Avatar is killing me ... it's just killing me! *g*

**Brynn: Thank you! And I'm working on it, I promise. I mean, except for the time when I stop to, y'know, check this thread and see what insane things people are doing THIS time.

**Canadian Kitty: I'm sorry ... I didn't see this post until AFTER I had my extremely Bad For You Burger ... but it had onions on it! And not the reconstituted kind! Onions are a vegetable! And ... ummm ... ketchup! Ketchup is made from tomatos, right? Besides ... my digestive system would probably freak out and say, "What the heck IS this stuff?" if I put anything healthy in my stomach.

**AutumnT: I have to admit, I'm having about a million different kinds of fun with this fic - and I'm really glad you like it *G* I certainly hope it continues to live up to expectations.

**Pixie: If no one volunteers, y'all can toss me around ... but I'm keeping my panties on. And I'll be typing at the same time, so try to toss me in an even arc, okay?

**Bobos Mom: Hmmm ... flan. I could see that *G* And Marlboros and Coke? I knew I liked you!

**Scout: Can I just say I find it highly amusing how many people are telling me to have something green - leafy green, not gummi green - with dinner? Both in this thread and elsewhere, people seem obsessed with green stuff. Well, I'll tell you - green food means its gone bad. Period. Umm ... except for mint chocolate chip ice cream. All other green stuff is bad for you.

**Canadian Kitty: And how could you possibly ask that question without expecting a dirty answer? Or are you expecting a dirty answer?

**sheila_wt: Oooh ... massage *eyes glaze over* I love being rubbed down.

**Bobos Mom: Heh ... I knew SOMEBODY was going to go there *G* How about we go for the (surprisingly) less-graphic HotTub O'Flan with Nekkid Smitten Filling?

-Sass

Still Writing ... just ... taking a break before I go cross-eyed.

Well Sassette, this is the Kitten board. Regardless of what kind of answer I wanted, I knew what kind I was going to get.

And Bobos Mom, since you were first across the smutty finish line you win the honor of being at the very center of the Nekkid Smitten Filling in Sassette's Hot Tub O'Flan.

I can't begin to tell you how honored I am to be in the center of this sticky, pantyless goodness!

W.W. - with that Robin William's thing going on, can I make one small request? Could you, for just this one time, sit back and be the towel boy? Thanks. You're a pal.

And Sass - I knew there was a reason I liked you too. Smokes, pop, and flan. It doesn't get any better.

Well, take your time. And definitely, you should eat something green. :grin So in honor of it being Easter (at least it still is here) I think a handful of green M&M's thrown your way should suffice. And plus, green M&M's? Heh... we all know what those are good for.

And though I must agree with you on the Marlboro Lights, I must sadly disagree on the coke. It's only Pepsi for this gal.

Who put the Naughty Smitten in charge of cheer formations? Jomarch? (love the cheer, by the way...ooh! and I'm an absolute accent chameleon! I gets to be british! yay!)

Wait... I'm the Smitten in charge of cheer formations?!?

hmmmm........ alrighty, then..... anyone wanna toss me?

Somebody get this hairy fella over here some cheerleading trousers!

Sass--- as others have already said, thanks for all the hard work! Now, then.... Why don't you step into my kitchen, and I'll see if I can't make you change your mind about green foods....

Since you're in charge of cheer formation what kind of toss are we talking about here? Cause some are obviously better than others.
