Here's Chapter 5 again, but I've updated it at the end
: Chapter 5 ::“Willow, I’m s-sorry…about last night, I-I-I shouldn’t have…”
”It’s ok, honestly. I initiated it and I…I freaked.” Willow motioned to Tara to take a seat in a slight alcove just inside the opening of the caves, and she joined her. “It’s not that I didn’t, well, like it. I’ve just never ever, a whole history of nevers really, I’ve never kissed a girl…never felt the urge to. But last night it, it felt so right, and then I felt wrong, and I dunno how something right can feel wrong so I figured it was bad and I –“
“Shhh.” Willow was silenced by a gentle finger on her lips. “You don’t have to justify what you did to anyone, not even me.” Tara’s deep blue eyes seemed to soothe the aching in Willow’s head, in her heart, and in her soul.
“I know. I’m just trying to, I dunno, make sense of it all I guess. I liked it Tara. Yes I freaked…and now that seems so immature but I wasn’t used to that –“ Once again Willow was silenced, although this time she found Tara’s lips pressed gently against her own. Shocked at first, she flinched ever so slightly, but as she realized the blonde wasn’t going to pull back, she gradually gave in to the kiss, and closed her eyes as she succumbed to the softness of Tara’s supple lips. Slowly but surely, the girls lips started to move against the others, as Willow’s tongue darted out every now and again to taste Tara. Reluctantly letting go, Willow looked up at Tara with pleading eyes. “More?” she asked innocently. Tara smiled her lop-sided grin at the redhead as she stood up and held out her hand to pull Willow up.
“Maybe we should take a walk first, huh? And talk.” Taking the offered hand, Willow pulled herself up and didn’t let go as she and Tara walked along the outside of the caverns, the sea gently lapping at their feet.
Half an hour of walking in almost complete silence followed, both girls treasuring each precious moment which allowed them to go through their feelings in their heads, until they reached a decision and felt the time was right to confront what was happening. The girls sat down on some rocks by the edge of the sea. It seemed that time was now.
“Will, what do u want?” asked Tara, simply and honestly. The tone of her voice left no doubt that her concern was for the redhead at her side, she wanted to make sure she was happy and comfortable, nothing more, nothing less.
“Honestly?” Tara nodded. “Well, basically, I want you.” Willow looked at Tara, her brow furrowed slightly and her hand found its way to rest on Tara’s knee. The blonde placed her hand on top of Willow’s and laced her fingers between the redheads own. Tara looked at Willow for a second, taking in her aura, her essence.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes” came the short yet melodic reply. Tara’s heart sung with joy as Willow leaned in for another kiss, this timer her tongue successful in seeking out its goal, its new found territory. As Willow’s tongue entered the blonde’s mouth, she hesitated a second, before caressing the soft flesh with her own, leaving her mark upon it. As they separated, Tara left a few sweet butterfly kisses on Willow’s lips, leaving them tingling and hot. “Tara, I don’t want to tell my friends yet. Is that…ok?”
“Whatever you want to do is ok, sweetie. We’ll start out slow, ok?”
“Oh yes.”

“So what college are you going to?” Willow chirped as she took a small sip of her frappaccino.
“Wheaton, Illinois. I’m gonna be studying Music there. What about you…anywhere close?” The blonde looked up as Willow sighed gently and rested her cup on the table in front of her.
“Not so much. I’m studying Psych and Chemistry at UC Sunnydale.”
“Where’s that?” The question was quiet, mumbled. Partly because Tara figured the response would be a long distance from her, and partly because she didn’t want that to be true.
“Back home in L.A. How come you chose yours? You live in Illinois?”
“Ohhh no, I just got some family there is all…and the college is good enough for the course I’m doing.” Tara smiled at Willow, that cute lopsided grin the redhead loved so much. Leaning forward over the table, she placed a gentle kiss on the blondes lips, before pulling away to see a blushing face in front of her. “And what did I do to deserve that?”
“You smiled.”
“I…smiled?” The bemused expression on the blonde’s face made Willow giggle to herself.
“Yeah, ya know, that cute little lop-sided grin.” Tara feigned innocence. “Oh don’t pull that face with me! You so know the face.”
“I do?” As she gazed into emerald green eyes, the blonde curled the left of her mouth at the corner, eliciting a gentle purr from the redhead as she spoke. Her hand found Tara’s and she affectionately circled her fingertip around Tara’s palm.
“That’s the one.”
“Blondie? Hey!” A tall brunette girl came striding over to the table the two girls shared. She seemed cool and confident in her black leather pants and red shirt. The shirt looked like if it got any tighter, it’d rip at the seems, yet she carried off the look, and the black biker jacket she carried at her side complimented her image. “Oh, hey!” exclaimed the girl, noticing the unfamiliar redhead. “Ain’t you gonna to introduce me to your new…?” The girl’s eyes wandered to the now joined hands resting on the table. “Oh…I’m sorry if I interrupted! I’ll leave you two lo…”
“Faith, sit.” Faith sat. “This is Willow, I met her yesterday remember, the ball incident?” Faith nodded her head as she recalled the conversation they had that night. “Willow, this is Faith, my best friend and roomie while I’m here in Miami.”
“Hey, nice to meet you,” greeted Willow as she held out a freckled hand towards the brunette.
“You too, Red. It’s ok if I call you that right?” Before Willow had chance to respond to the question, Faith had shook her hand and slung her black leather jacket she was carrying over her shoulder. “So, Tara…way to go, I won’t wait up, huh?” Faith winked at a severely red Tara and grinned at Willow, as she headed out of the coffee shop, cappuccino in hand.
“I’m sorry about her,” apologized Tara, the flush of embarrassment still fresh on her face, “she has a tendency to say what she thinks, or what she thinks I’m thinking.” Tara’s flush turned a deeper shade when she caught sight of Willow’s raised eyebrow and she cottoned on to what she’d just said and how it must’ve sounded. “Not that I was thinking, with the n-not waiting up and…oh God…’cause hello? Moving fast, much? Not that I wouldn’t…I mean…help?” The blonde looked at Willow pitifully, showing her mercy.
“Sweetie, you’re at risk of being the babbler here.” Willow giggled as Tara grinned and looked down, her cheeks still glowing crimson. “Don’t worry about it, Buffy’s like that too…except in the sense that her foot seems to like living in her mouth.” Both girls giggled lightly as Tara raised the redhead’s hand to her lips, and gently kissed the palm.
“Willow! What the hell is she doing?” A piercing voice rang out behind the girls. Willow looked round and broke from Tara’s grasp as soon as she realized who was there.
“Cordy, I…she was just…I…”
“You,” the tall brunette waved a perfectly manicured hand at a shocked Tara, “what were you doing?”
“Leave her alone! Please, Cordelia…don’t tell the others about this? Please? I…we…” The redhead quickly jumped to Tara’s defence, and pleaded with Cordelia using all the strength her puppy eyes could muster.
“Tell the others about what exactly? What is this, Will? You’re suddenly like, batting for the other team or something?” Cordelia flicked her well-groomed hair over her shoulder, folding her arms and looking bemusedly at the slumped redhead.
“I think I should b-be going W-Willow. I’ll call you.” The blonde retreated from her seat and kissed Willow swiftly on the forehead before waving gingerly at the door as a hurt Willow looked on.
“Now look what you’ve done,” murmured Willow as she looked down at her frappaccino. Cordelia took up the seat opposite her. “Go on then, give me all the nasty comments you’ve got to throw at me, I guess I’ll handle it! I always do, huh?”
“Hey! Throwing up my hands here! What the hell, Will? Are you gay or something? Is she your girlfriend? What exactly does she mean to you? Or is she just a really good friend?-”
“Cordy, just stop!” Willow slammed her forehead into her hands and her shoulders shook as she sobbed gently. “I don’t know…I…there’s stuff, I’m trying to figure things out and I don’t need this now! I don’t need your questions and your bitchy remarks!”
“Willow I…I wasn’t-”
“Just leave it!” The redhead glared at Cordelia through tear-clouded eyes. She took a napkin from the table and lifted herself from her seat. “I don’t wanna talk to you about this.” She practically ran to the door and left the café, leaving Cordelia sat in a stunned silence.
