Christmas Carols

Disclaimer: Characters aren’t mine. They belong to someone else.

Summary: W/T are on a Christmas Vacation

Continued:

“Willow…” Tara was fast on her heels, never mind the fact that her skates were still on, she didn’t think twice. She needed to see if Willow was hurt, her fear of the ice momentarily forgotten in the heat of the moment.

The only thing in her mind right then and there was that Willow had crashed pretty hard into a wall and Tara needed to get to her, it was pure instinct.

Worrying about the more important things made the unimportant things, like Tara’s hesitance to be anywhere near the ice, temporarily disappear. Without the thought of it in her mind, Tara was pretty good on the ice. Fear is what stopped people from doing what they wanted, it was all in the mind.

Tara’s mind was somewhere else…on Willow.

Gliding quickly on the thin skates, like a professional ice skater, she finally reached the fallen redhead. Willow was crumpled on her butt, but she didn’t seem to have any visible injuries, it was nothing too severe.

The crowd that had been circled around her had finally dispersed as soon as they were sure the woman was all right, and had noticed that someone else had taken the role of caregiver.

A blonde haired girl named Tara.

Tara sighed in relief that Willow seemed, in all respect, unharmed. But she needed to make certain of it, appearances were deceiving.

“Willow.” Tara managed to voice through her initial panic at seeing her soulmate take a fairly hard crash, she immediately went into mother-mode, checking for any hidden injuries that she might have overlooked.

Willow was pouting, smiling a small smile in embarrassment, she was obviously okay. “Wow, that hurt.” She chuckled, rubbing her forehead gently.

But that didn’t convince Tara, she was still a bit shaken at the possibility Willow had seriously or even just minorly hurt herself. “Baby, are you hurt?” she asked, wiping a fallen lock of red hair away from her lovers face and smoothing it behind her ear. “Are you sure you’re okay?”

“I’m fine.” Willow let up a dismissive wave, attempting to lift herself up and off her butt and to her feet, Tara sensed this and used both of her slender arms to help her girlfriend stand upright, Willow was using the far wall for support. “It got a little out of control for a minute.” She chuckled, looking at her lovers still concerned expression.

“Tara, I’m fine.” She assured her lover, smoothing her hand gently down Tara’s arm. “I didn’t feel a thing.”

“If you’re sure…” Tara began, frowning a little.

“I’m definitely sure.” Willow nodded. “I got a little too confident, huh?” she asked after awhile, brushing off the front of her shirt, thinking back at her actions and antics before she crashed herself into a wall like a big dope. “Puffing my chest and all that…” she shook her head lightly at herself, immediately humbled.

“Who was that?” she asked Tara, not believing how sure she was at something she never even attempted to do before today.

“That was my Willow.” She told her lover, kissing her quickly on the lips. “And you were doing pretty good, until the…crash.” She laughed aloud, the worry and concern etched out of her face and voice, Willow was fine and Tara was sure.

“Hey!” Willow started to protest at Tara’s laughter. “Me crashing into a wall and landing on my butt is funny to you?” she demanding playfully, stomping her foot just once before crossing her arms in front of her chest in a stance of defiance. “I resent that.”

“Sweetie, it would have been kinda funny.” She laughed again. “And if I wasn’t too shocked with concern for you I would have laughed.” She explained, her giggles subsiding. “But I didn’t.” she pointed out as an after thought. “I’m so glad you’re okay.” She concluded seriously, her eyes locked with Willow’s. “ I don’t know what I would have done if you weren’t.” she said in a whisper.

“Let’s not think about that.” Willow suggested, pulling her lover away from the wall and closer into the ring. “Hey…” she realized, looking down at their feet and Tara’s skates. “You skated all the way here?” she asked, impressed. “And you didn’t crash like little ol’ me.” She began. “I thought you didn’t know how to skate, were you fumbling or—“

“I don’t think so.” Tara shrugged. “I just saw you all on the floor and I raced over here, I didn’t really think about my fear of skating, all I thought about was you.” She finished.

“You’re a natural.” Willow smiled, gliding the two of them carefully towards their table so they can sit and rest for a bit. “See, what did I tell you, Tara?” she asked as they both took a seat on the bench-like chairs.

“I knew you could do it.” Willow took her girlfriend’s hands into her own.

Tara blushed and looked down at her hands.

“Oh, stop with the blushing already!” Willow shouted playfully in exasperation, throwing her hands into the air for effect.

“You blush all the time, sometimes you should just puff out your chest…like I did.” Willow began. “ Before I crashed that is…” the redhead pointed out in embarrassment. “And say…’I’m Tara, I’m a natural ice-skater, I did something I never thought I’d do and I did it well.”

“I-I’m Tara, I’m a nat…” she trailed off, shaking her head from left to right. “Willow, I don’t thi—“

“Go on.” Willow encouraged, waving a hand in front of her, indicating that she should go on.

“I’m a natural.” She continued as Willow watched. “And I did it better than my girlfriend...”

“Hey!” Willow pouted, she didn’t know why she was pouting, Tara was right.

“It’s true.” Tara shrugged with a newfound confidence. I t enveloped her body as soon as Willow’s words had registered, it felt really great. Really, really great.

That’s what Willow did, even all those years ago, she remembered…

She remembered how the young redhead had made her feel more loved, more special. She taught her that she should just be herself, and not be afraid.

That she was beautiful, and whoever said anything otherwise were fools, only she herself, Tara, could make that decision.

Tara was a wallflower, and Willow helped her grow. Tara needed a push, and Willow pushed her.

And that was all that Tara had needed, a push.

The rest was up to her. Tara needed to mend her life, come to terms with her family. Find the part of herself that Willow knew was buried deep inside, the part that Tara tried to hide.

A beautiful, confident, mature individual.

And Tara had found that, found herself. All because of Willow. After that day, Tara was a new person. Changed. The same, but better, more confident, more tall.

All because Willow loved her. All because Willow cared enough to bring her out of her shell. All because Willow knew who Tara really was.

Her potential.

She remembered.

~~~~
Tara sat in front of her girlfriend at a cafeteria table, her blonde hair was covering most of her face. Their relationship was still new, still fresh, and Tara was still unsure.
She was unsure of why this beautiful redheaded goddess had picked her. HER. It confused her.
Willow could have anyone, any girl or guy at the college, anyone at all.
And she had picked her.
She couldn’t believe it. She didn’t understand, she never would. And she never really thought to stop and try.
She was nothing, that’s what her family had always told her, those two words echoing inside her head all those horrid years at home.
She was nothing. She always would be. Without her mother…she didn’t have anyone to turn to. Never again.
That is until she met Willow.
~~
“Tara?” Willow asked gently as she sipped her chilled coffee drink with a twirly straw.
Wiilow could hardly see her lover’s face fullly, and all the blonde hair that has fallen in front of her face had blocked her view of her lover’s deep blue eyes. The redhead made an attempted to gently brush away the fallen hair, placing them carefully behind Tara’s ear.
“Why do you always hide your face?” she asked softly, wanting to know why this gorgeous blonde carried so much doubts about herself, it didn’t make sense. “Don’t you know how beautiful you are?”
“I’m not beautiful Willow.” The blonde said quietly, shaking her head from side to side as if Willow had told the biggest lie in the world. “I’m not beautiful at all.” She finished defeatedly, sighing, her eyes wouldn’t meet those of the redhead. She looked down at her feet, the eye contact broken.
“I’m nothing.”
Willow frowned, her eyebrows scrunching up slightly. “How can you say that?” she asked incredulously, though in a still gentle and loving voice.
“You’re one of the most beautiful person I’ve ever met, Tara.” She said adamantly. “ Inside and out.” She explained. “You have the biggest heart.”
Tara just shakes her head again, still looking down. Not wanting to believe, not believing that she deserved it.
Willow took her left hand and gently cupped her lover’s chin, lifted Tara’s face up so the blonde could finally look her in the eye. She needed eye contact.
She needed to Tara to know, to absorb it. To believe it. For Tara.
“You ARE beautiful.” Willow repeats again. “Whatever anyone says, whatever they think, even if you don’t believe it yourself…” she explained softly, seeing Tara’s blue eyes fill with a thin sheen of misty tears.
“Believe me.” She said. “Believe me when I say that you are beautiful.” She said to the blonde, her voice echoing in her ears. “That you are NOT nothing.”
“I…” Tara trailed off, looking back down again.
“Believe it.” Willow just said again, then Tara looked up.
“I’m b-beautiful.” Tara managed to mutter under her breath, still not comfortable with saying the words.
“Say it again.” Willow smiled, happy that she had gotten through to the blonde. “From your heart to your soul.” She said after a moment. “Say it like you mean it.” She said. “Say it like you really believe.”
“I’m beautiful.” Tara said more loudly, more sure. Willow’s gentle face urging her on. “I’m beautiful, Willow.” She said again.
Willow just smiled back.
“See?” Willow asked. “That wasn’t to hard.”
“It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my whole life.”
“Well, now…” Willow said, placing her hand on top of Tara’s which were resting on the table. “Now, it’s not so hard.” She proclaimed softly. “The next step is believing it.”
“I believe it.” Tara said after a moment.” I’m beautiful.”
“You really are.” The redhead responded. “I love you Tara.” Willow said, saying the three words for the first time. It wasn’t going to be the last. And if she had anything to do with it, it would be forever.
“I love you.” Tara said softly, and she meant it. The words felt natural, like it was meant to be said. This girl, this woman. She was it. She was the one.
Willow was the one for her and she was the one for Willow.
It was forever.
~~~~

“You can teach me.” Willow suggested to her lover, her eyes beaming in anticipation.

“Maybe it’s my braking?” she asked, looking down at her skate as if it would hold an answer to all of her questions. “I was doing pretty well before that.” She pointed out, putting on her jacket that she had left on the table.

“You were.” Tara nodded, shaken away from her thoughts.

“So, do you want to try it again?” Willow got up from her seat and tried to stand on her skates.

“Let’s do it.” She got up as well, taking Willow’s hand into her own. “I might not do as well.” She advised before stepping onto the ice. “I WAS a bit preoccupied with other things, I didn’t really think about doing it.”

“Then, let’s not think.” Willow said matter of factly, pulling the two of them onto the ice once again. Tara squealed a little with excitement, her legs gliding from foot to foot, but gracefully. Her first time on skates and she was graceful, she was always graceful.

“See, you’re a natural Tara.” Willow yelled at her lover as the two of them eventually drifted apart from each other’s arms, their skates taking them away.

They were skating separately now, enjoying every minute of it. Willow fumbled a little, almost falling to her side, but she managed to let herself up and not fall flat on he face…again.

Tara was in her own world, skating a bit faster; she looked like a pro. Maybe she was.

Tara’s eyes sparkled under the lights, her hair was everywhere, her smile was beaming. She looked like an angel.

“Willow!” Tara screamed, her blonde hair flying in all directions with the wind, she was definitely having a lot of fun.

Pretty fun, Huh?” Willow laughed at her lover, stopping for a moment to catch her breath. Willow tired easily, but Tara was still at it. Tara was still skating a circle around her. Willow just stood watching her girlfriend.

Tara saw that her lover was pretty stand still, she skated closer to the redhead using both her hands to pull the redhead to her.

“C’mon Willow…” Tara said excitedly. “What are you just standing there for?” she asked panting a little in a tired exhaustion, pulling them to the middle of the circle.

“You scared?” she looked into the redhead’s eyes, a half smile shown on her lips. She held onto her lover’s forearms, they were face to face. Their faces were so close together that they were almost one.

They were always one. Even when they spent every breathing moment together, they never got sick of each other. And that was rare. There was never a time that either of them had felt suffocated.

“I was just watching you.” Willow smiled, the two of them circling the ring together. “You’re just another little Michelle Kwan, aren’t you?” she asked, smirking at Tara’s obvious excitement and love of the sport she was terrified of just a while ago.

A lot can change in a couple of minutes.

“I can’t do any spins.” The blonde pointed out, stopping their skating to catch her breath. “I’m sure I can’t do any spins.”

“Are you sure about that?” Willow asked, her eyebrows lifting.

“Oh, please.” Tara snorted, blowing a few strands of hair away from her face. “That takes years of practice.”

“Maybe…”

“Indefinitely.” She stressed, pulling Willow closer to her. “I don’t want to break my neck any time soon.”

“Soon.” Willow nodded her head at her lover. “Soon, you’ll be doing all those things. “Aren’t you happy I got the skates?”

“I am.” She smiled, taking Willow into a gentle kiss.

“Good.” The redhead said after the kiss ended. “Let’s get out of here.”

“Where are we going?” Tara asked, her brow furrowed.

“You’ll see.” Willow grinned at her girlfriend.

The two girls quickly took off their ice-skates, putting their regular shoes on, they walked together in each other’s arms, to an unknown destination. Willow already had a cab waiting.

As they were getting closer to the cab, Willow dug her hand into her jacket pocket, feeling for a small velvet covered square box.

The redhead smiled a bright smile at the thought of what she was about to do, what the ramifications would be when she did. What it meant.

It meant everything.

Willow opened the cab door and let Tara in, the redhead following close behind.

She was going to do it.

Hey, guys...

I just wanted to pop in and say thanks for all the replies. As for updating... I know I usually post a part of the story everyday, but I want the next part to be really, really good. Or at least as good as a first time writer can get it, so I'll try to update as soon as I can, maybe introduce some new characters or bring the gang in for a surprise visit. 'shrugs' We'll see.

Christmas Carols

Renee85

The proposal:

The car ride to Willow’s mystery destination was pleasant, the two girls were wrapped in each other’s arms in the back seat of the cab, pretty much enjoying each other’s company. It was always this way for them, always happy, always loving. Sure, they have had a few arguments in the past, but it was nothing the two couldn’t get over. They were inseparable.

Willow’s arms were wrapped around Tara’s shoulders and Tara’s head was comfortably resting against her lover’s body.

They sat in silence. But it was the good kind. The comfortable kind. The one people would relish to have.

Willow’s hand lightly stroked her girlfriends arm as she looked of the car window. Tara looked at the other side.

They were both quiet.

There were some times, in certain moments, where words weren’t needed. It was just the mere presence of each other that had calmed them, that made them feel good, that made them feel…loved.

They were just there. They were always there. They would always be there.

They were there.

Willow seemed to be engrossed in her thoughts when she turned her head towards Tara. “You okay?” Willow asked softly as she looked into her lover’s eyes, the eyes that had always seemed to entrap her. “We haven’t really said anything.”

“Don’t need to.” Tara looked up briefly, then snuggled closer into her lover. Burying herself in her. “All I want to do is be with you.”

Willow smiled a small smile at Tara’s words, bringing her hands to lightly stroke Tara’s soft blonde hair.

She then tuned her head back to continue looking out the window. Turning her head back briefly, Willow saw that Tara’s eyes were closed. Willow leaned down slightly and gently kissed her girlfriend’s forehead, brushing off some fallen strands of hair away from the blonde’s angelic form, in the process.

‘You are.’ Willow thought to herself.

As Willow waited patiently for the cab to arrive at her special spot, her mind had drifted somewhere else.

Into her own deep thoughts.

She was always thinking, always remembering, always reminiscing.

Which eventually led to thoughts of when she had bought the ring, the special ring, Tara’s ring. And the exact moment when she had decided to buy it.

The exact moment.

~~~~
“Willow?” Tara roused from her dreams and sleep, lifting her head slightly from her lover’s naked chest.
“Hmm?” Willow asked with as smile as she continued to stroke Tara’s soft silly hair. “Did I wake you, baby?” she asked in a whisper, hoping she hadn’t woken her lover from a fantastic dream.
Tara just shook her head lightly from side to side.
“What is it?” the redhead asked softly, pulling her lover closer into her body, her left hand curling around the blonde’s shoulder.
Cradling her.
Loving her.
“I just love it here.” Tara finally said, laying her head back down onto the slender woman’s mounds, her face lay on its side using Willow’s breast as her own personal pillows.
It felt amazing. It always felt amazing.
“Yeah?” Willow asked the blonde, leaning forward a bit to place a small yet gentle kiss onto the forehead of her girlfriend. “I love it too.” The redhead replied, her voice echoing in the darkness. “I love being with you.”
“Even more than…” she trailed off, stroking Willow’s right breast with a slender finger, trailing downwards to lay on top of a soft stomach.
“It doesn’t even compare.” Willow voiced adamantly. “ I loved him, I really did…but he’ nothing compared to you.” she assured in a soft reassuring voice. “It’s nothing compared to being with you.” She continued. “When I’m with you, I don’t know, I feel…whole.” She shook her head lightly. “I can’t explain.”
“Do you believe in soulmates?” the blonde asks after a moment.
Willow sat giving Tara’s question much thought, staring at the ceiling momentarily as she frowned in contemplative mode. “I believe in love.” Willow said after a while, thinking of an answer.
“ I believe in falling in love in the most unexpected places, with the most unexpected people.”
“You didn’t expect to fall in love with me?” Tara giggled, tickling her lover’s side affectionately.
“No, silly.” Willow amended, kissing Tara’s forehead again gently.
Tara just lifted her eyebrows in question.
“I just didn’t expect to fall in love.” The redhead explained, smiling, then she paused. “But I’m glad I did.”
Tara smiled at that.
“I’m glad I did too.” She said. “And I’m glad it’s with you.”
“We’re so sappy.” Willow chuckled at their words, but deeply moved and touched by it at the same time.
She loved Tara with all her heart, and she wanted to tell the world. She wanted the world to know.
Everyone.
“I’m only sappy for you.” Tara got up from her place on Willow’s chest and straddled her lover, her outer thighs sitting just outside of Willow’s, framing them.
“Now, that’s even more sappy.” The redhead placed her slender hands on Tara’s waist, gripping it lightly.
“Just be glad we bumped into each other that day.” Tara kissed the woman’s nose with affection, trailing down to gently lay another kiss on the redheads ruby lips.
“You mean I bumped into you.” Willow corrected, sitting up a little so she can reach Tara’s lips with her mouth. “Crashed into you, really.”
“Well, if you hadn’t crashed into me…we might never have met.”
“I don’t think that’s true.” Willow shook her head, leaning back down.
“I do.” The blonde said.
“You don’t think we would have met any other way?”
Tara just shakes her head.
“I’ve been going to that school longer than you have, and we’ve both been frolicking around campus, without even knowing each other existed. She explained, she pauses. “I should thank the goddess that you crashed into me.”
It was then when Willow looked at Tara.
Really looked at Tara.
She saw an angel, she knew that this was the woman she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
Absolutely.
Positively.
No Questions.
She was it.
“You don’t need to.” Willow looked at Tara’s eyes, and for the first time she looked into Tara’s soul. “I think I already did.”
“You did.” Tara smiled, kissing Willow’s nose again, quickly laying herself on top of her girlfriend, laying her face back onto Willow’s chest, the redhead’s hands instinctively began stroking blonde hair.
“When?” Tara asked. Her hands playing with Willow’s fingers, stroking them.
“Just now.” Willow said seriously. “Just right now.”
~~~~

“Sweetie?” the blonde’s voice broke Willow’s reverie, bringing the redhead into the present. “Are we there yet?”

“No baby, not yet.” Willow amended, her voice low, looking down at Tara’s form, which was cradled into her chest.

“Wanna at least tell me where we’re going?”

“Not really.” Willow just said.

“Oh, c’mon.” Tara whined childishly, then yawned.

“Nope...” Willow just said again, sensing her girlfriend’s yawn. “You sleepy?”

“Close your eyes, baby.” Willow suggested, leading Tara to lie her head down into her lap.

It was a comfortable spot.

“Okay.” Tara yawned a third time, doing just what Willow had suggested she should do.

She had no resistance.

“Wake me when we get there?” the blonde asked sleepily.

“I will.”

Willow smiled at her lover’s restful form, and her heart swelled. It always did when she watched Tara. When she thought of Tara, even when she just sensed the blondes presence.

It felt amazing.

True love.

The redhead was back into her thoughts.

To the day when she bought the ring.

~~~~
Willow browsed through the jewelry displays, scanning all the rings that lie there. Glancing at all the rings for a few seconds, then moving on, none catching her eye.
Willow sighed.
‘There’s nothing here.’ Willow thought. ‘I don’t want to get a regular diamond ring, I want something more special.’
She browsed throughout the rest of the display boxes, brushing the rings off.
Then something caught her eye.
Her eyes widened as she took a step back.
Her eyes saw blue, green, white, and gold.
It was different.
‘It’s beautiful.” Willow thought grinning. ‘My goddess, it has both our eye colors.. .it’s totally beautiful.’
“Ma’am, Can I help you?” a young man voiced from behind the display cases. “Anything here that catches your eye?”
“Actually…” Willow said aloud, her eyes sparkling as she stared at the beloved ring she hoped Tara would love. “I like this.” She pointed at the emerald, sapphire, diamond, and gold ring.
“A fabulous choice.” The man nodded, “Just one, Miss?”
“”Two.” The redhead replied, looking up from the ring. “I want two.”
“Very well.” The man picked up the ring and reached behind him as he opened a locked drawer and grabbed an identical ring. “For the special someone?” the man asked, as she handed the rings to Willow.
“Very special.” Willow nodded, smiling.
~~~~

Willow was still smiling, as her mind became clearer, rousing herself. Looking out the window, she saw that they were almost there.

“Baby.” Willow gently shook her beloved out of her dreams. “We’re here.” She said softly.

Tara slowly got up and began rubbing her eyes.

“Surprise.” She said meekly as when she saw Tara looking out the window.

“Oh, Willow…” Tara almost sighed, her heart bursting with love for the woman beside her.

“You like?” Willow asked.

“I love it, Willow.” Tara moved closer to her lover, gently kissing her softly on the lips. Willow kissing her back with earnest. “It’s why we came.”

‘It isn’t the only reason.’ Willow thought.

“It is.” Willow nodded opening her side of the door, letting Tara out, and then closing it.

The two held hands as they walked closer to the litted up tree, it was a beautiful sight. The tall tree overpowered the two small witches, the lights sending a beautiful glow all around, it was breathtaking.

Absolutely breathtaking.

If you could picture it, it looked like a Christmas Cards.

It would say: ‘Have a Happy Willow and Tara Christmas.’

Tara looked deeply into Willow’s eyes, then back to the tree.

Utterly captivated. Willow just watched Tara’s captivated form.

“Isn’t it beautiful? Tara asked finally, her eyes tearing up slightly then drying.

“I think it’s absolutely breathtaking.” Willow nodded and pushed a stray hair away from Tara’s face.

Tara continued to stare at the tree, the lights, she was mesmerized.

“It reminds me of my mom…” Tara's eyes filled with a light sheen of misty tears, she was almost about to cry. “She brought me her once, a long time ago.” She explained, sniffling slightly. “It’s why I like that stupid movie so much…the end part, I mean.”

“You never told me that you went here with your mom.” Willow squeezed Tara’s hand gently.

“It was a long time ago.” Tara said softly. “The memory is almost fading…” she said sadly in a whisper.

“You’ll never forget, Tara.” Willow assured. “You loved her.”

“I always will.” Tara started to cry, pulling herself against her lover, burying her head in Willow’s shoulder.

“Baby, don’t cry.” The redhead said softly, almost in a whisper.

She was at a loss.

Willow stroked Tara’s blonde hair reverently. “No tears, remember?” Willow repeated what her lover had said to her at the airport. “ Only happy tears.”

Tara lifted her head from the redhead’s shoulder, wiping her eyes.

“You know I love you right?” Willow asked softly, wiping away Tara’s tears with a gentle fingertip.

“I always know.” The blonde’s face began to compose, her tears drying but still wet.

“I love you so much.” The redhead continued, grabbing the blonde’s hands into her own. Her voice was soft. She glanced momentarily at the tree, Tara glancing at it too.

Then, they both looked into each other’s eyes. The tree momentarily forgotten.

“I love you too.” Tara sniffled slightly, her eyes a bit dry as she absorbed the redhead’s words.

Her soulmate.

“I cant imagine myself with anyone else, Tara.” Willow continued.

Tara began to blush, looking down.

Willow lifted Tara’s chin gently, looking deeply into Tara’s eyes. “ I want to be with you forever…” Willow voiced softly.

Tara just listened in silence. The good silence, she was smiling at Willow’s words, feeling the same way.

“…I want to grow old with you…” Willow continued, tears in her eyes. “I want to be with you for the rest of my life…starting right now.”

Tara realized what Willow was saying and almost fainted.

“Right now?” Tara asked, almost swaying. Her knees almost buckling.

Willow nodded. “Marry me, Tara.” Willow asked softly, her eyes pleading, even when it didn’t need to plead. “Be my wife.” She added afterwards, her voice breaking.

Tara’s eyes filled with tears.

Happy tears.

Instead of answering she threw herself into Willow’s arms, kissing her feverishly.

Hard and fast, yet gentle and loving at the same time.

“Is that a yes?” Willow asked.

“Yes, Willow.” Tara nodded up and down, her tears spilling out even more down her face.

They kissed each other again.

“See?” Willow said as their passionate kiss subsided, they clung to each other for dear life. Not wanting to let go. “Happy tears.” The redhead traced the fallen tear with her index finger, gently wiping it away.

“Very happy.” Tara said. “I love you, Willow.”

“I love you more.”

I keep writing about the ring, the ring, the ring, and I forgot to write the part where Willow actually GIVES Tara the ring! My head must be somewhere else...'shrugs' :stink

So, the next part will immediately follow where it left off, with Willow giving Tara the ring. :)

Disclaimer: Characters do not belong to me.

101 thanks for the replies…I really appreciate it.

Note: Initially, I was planning on using only Willow and Tara, and then add some of my own characters, but…I changed my mind. So, the gang is coming back.

Miniature Update:

Immediately following the last part:

Tara and Willow were still in the middle of their passionate kiss, wrapped in each other’s arms, celebrating what was. They didn’t seem to notice anyone else around them, or even if they existed. They only existed for each other, always.

What is.

What will be.

What their life now meant and held.

It was officially forever.

The two girls were completely and utterly oblivious to the outside world, only paying attention to each other and each other only. Everyone else in New York could be damned, it really didn’t matter. This was a special day, their day, and they wanted to spend it with each other. Tara continued to kiss Willow even when they felt as if they’d faint from lack of breath.

Willow was distracted as well, kissing Tara feverishly in the middle of everyone, but it didn’t matter, she wanted the world to know that she loved this woman and this woman loved her. There was nothing to be ashamed with true love.

Nothing mattered.

But them.

Willow continued to ravish Tara’s mouth when she realized, in the middle of their embrace, that she still hadn’t given Tara the ring. Willow started to pull back, but Tara wasn’t having any of it, she pulled Willow’s face closer from the back of her neck and brought her face closer to her own, stealing a few more kisses in the process.

Willow couldn’t get away.

And she didn’t want to.

They continued to kiss for a few more passionate moments, reclaiming each other as their own.

“Tara?” Willow finally asked, breathing heavily as their heavy kiss subsided. “Baby?”

“Yeah?” Tara questioned, her mind somewhere else, it was a complete blur to her. She wrapped her arms around the redheads waist, her eyes locked into green.

All she saw was Willow.

Green depths.

Reddish hair.

Her Willow.

Her Willow always.

Forever and ever.

“Don’t you want your ring?” Willow smiled sensually, her hands digging into her jacket pocket, her fingers playing with the box that sat inside.

“You got me a ring?” Tara smiled back, her eyes sparkling even more than it had just a few minutes ago, She grabbed a quick kiss as she watched her beloved’s hand fumbling wildly in her jacket pocket.

“Well, ofcourse I got you a ring, silly.” Willow responded casually, her hands still playing with her pocket, but not pulling out the box. “You started ravishing me with all your Tara-kisses before I got the chance to give it to you.” She explained, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

“Who could resist these lips of yours?” Tara brought her index finger to trace Willow’s upper lip gently.

Feathery soft strokes.

Always gentle.

“Irresistible Willowy lips.” The blonde gave her lover a quick peck.

“Oh, I know who.” The redhead smiled, licking her top lips a bit, wetting it with the tip of her Willowy tongue.

“Who?” Tara decided to play along, she acted as if she really didn’t know the answer, but her smile gave her away.

“My fiancée.” Willow answered playfully, giving Tara’s nose a quick kiss.

“Oooh!” Tara almost squealed, she hopped a bit on her heel, too excited for words. “I love the sound of that.” She exclaimed, her grim beaming under the lights. “My fiancée.” She said again, leaning closer to her redheaded goddess.

“Always.” Willow stated adamantly, leaning her body into her lover, then she began to backtrack her earlier statement, smiling sheepishly. “Well, not always, one day it’ll be ‘wife’.” She corrected.

“That sounds even better.” The blonde took the redhead’s hands into her own, leaning down to kiss the digits gently.

Willow flipped her gaze down to their interlocked hands, smiling softly at the sight, then she remembered something else. She gently removed her hands from Tara’s and reached into her pocket, pulling out a small square velvet box.

“Tara, my fiancée, will you take this ring?” she asked as she opened the small box to reveal to Tara what prized jewel laid inside.

“Oh, Will…” Tara’s blue depths were glued and seemed captivated at the ring that sat inside the box, waiting for its owner patiently.

It was stunning.

Absolutely stunning.

Perfection.

“…it’s beautiful. Tara finished, still eyeing the sparkling jewel, but not yet touching it.

Willow sighed a bot in relief that Tara had liked the ring, she wasn’t really too worried, she knew Tara would love it. Who wouldn’t? But she let out a relieved sigh anyway. Gently, Willow picked up the ring and carefully slid it onto Tara’s finger.

It fit perfectly.

It was meant for her.

“It’s beautiful.” Tara brought her hand up, still staring at the three-stoned ring.

“You really think so?” she asked, leaning forward to look at Tara’s hands, stealing a peek at the ring once again.

Tara just nodded a ‘yes’.

“Oh.” Tara looked down a bit sadly as she suddenly realized that she hadn’t bought a ring for Willow. She should have. “You don’t have a ring, I didn’t get—“

“I have a ring.” Willow just said, matter of factly.

“Well, where is it?” Tara questioned playfully, tickling Willow’s sides. “I want to put it on your finger.”

Willow reached into her pocket at Tara’s words, pulling out an identical ring.

Tara, in return, carefully places the jewel onto Willow’s finger as well. After that was done, Tara brought her face to meet her fiancée’ s eyes, both girls smiling warmly.

Happily.

Happier than they’d ever be.

The tree behind then seemed to sparkle even brighter in their happiness.

They were finally engaged.

~~~~
Meanwhile, back in Sunnydale:
Dawn was busy making pancakes in the kitchen, trying to make them just like Tara always did, but she didn’t really seem to get a hang of how to the funny shapes, still she tried her best and it was coming out pretty good.
Tara would be proud.
Buffy, on the other hand, sat on a chair at the kitchen counter, eating bowl of sugar infested cereal.
“Are Willow and Tara engaged yet, so you think Willow asked?” Dawn questioned from her place in front of the stove, she was wearing oven mits and a white apron, even though she was only cooking pancakes.
“Probably.” Buffy shrugged.
“How could you be so nonchalant about this, this is a HUGE deal.” Dawn exclaimed as she stirred her pancake batter with a large wooden spoon. “ I mean, c’mon Buffy, your best friend is getting married, MARRIED…to my best friend.” Her eyes widened at the realization.
“Tara’s your best friend?” Buffy lifted her eyebrows at her sister in surprise. She didn’t know that, but the two did spend a lot of time together.
“Well…” Dawn stopped stirring for a moment, thinking about it. She then turned to face her older sister. “Yeah.” She shrugged matter of factly. “I think we are.”
“Cool” her sister just nodded, then shrugging she went back to her cereal, digging into her cocoa puffs hungrily.
“Hey, I have an idea.” Dawn started to say as she finished stirring her pancake batter and began to pour the mess into the smoldering pan. “Why don’t we fly to New York, and pay the love birds a visit.” The young Summer’s suggested.
        Buffy suddenly looked up from her bowl, her mouth full of chocolate cereal. “What she asked almost inaudibly, her mouth still full.
        “Oh, c’mon, why not?” Dawn flipped a pancake quickly with a flat spatula, her back to her sister. “The weekend is coming up, I won’t have school, school will be out on Monday too, it’s a three day weekend.” She explained eagerly, turning to her sister, the spatula still in her hand, she then reached back to adjust her apron.
“What’s Monday?” Buffy questioned in a frown, still not giving in to Dawn.
“Some kind of teacher’s workshop.” Her younger sister shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. “So, what do ya say?”
Buffy sat silent for a long moment, seriously thinking it through.
One, Dawn didn’t seem to have school, Two…she didn’t have work, and three…a trip did sound really great. Plus, she wanted to see how Willow and Tara were doing.
“Okay, Dawn.” Buffy stood up, wiping her mouth with a napkin. She proceeded to put her now empty bowl into the sink to wash.
“Really?” Dawn was pleasantly surprised. “We’re going?”
“Really.” Buffy finished washing her bowl, shutting off the faucet. She faced her sister, smiling. “It’ll be great to get out of Sunnydale.” She concluded with a small consoling smile. “It’s pretty bland here, nothing to do.”
“Great!” Dawn cried out happily, throwing her pancakes into a large dish by the counter, shutting off the stove in the process. She ran excitedly out of the kitchen and proceeded to her room to pack.
“I’m going to pack my bags.” She yelled to her sister.
“We’ll only be gone for a couple of days!” Buffy called out to the retreating figure of her sister. “Pack lightly.”
As soon as she had said those words, Dawn came back with a small bag, brining it out to the kitchen.
Buffy raised her eyebrow’s in question.
“You said ‘pack lightly.’ “
“Yeah, well…”
Just then the door popped open, without knocking, as Anya and Xander appeared at the doorway, Xander had his arm around the smaller blonde.
“Whatcha doing ladies…?” Xander questioned as her walked further into the house, he saw Dawn’s small suitcase and began his line of questioning.
“You girls going somewhere?” he asked, leaning against the counter to get a better look at the bag on the floor by Dawn’s feet.
“Yep, New York.” Dawn answered, digging into her bag to make sure everything she needed was in there. “We’re going to surprise Willow and Tara, we have their hotel numbers.” She explained with a slight shrug of her shoulders, she grabbed a fork and dug into the pancakes in front of her. They didn’t taste as good as when Tara’s makes them, but…whatever.
“And you were going to leave without telling us?” Anya exclaimed, exasperated, her hands went instinctively to her hips and her foot stomped once in shock, anger, and something else. “I’m coming too.”
“An, honey…” Xander put his hand on his girlfriend’s shoulder, rubbing it briefly so she could look up at him and not at the two sisters. “You have the magic box to worry about.” He reminded the blonde.
“I’ll close it.” Anya amended quickly. “ I can close the shop for a couple of days, the money can wait for me when I get back.” She shrugged it off, turning her attention back towards Buffy and Dawn. “Me and Xander are going an you cant stop us.”
“Even if I wanted to.” Buffy said.
Buffy looked at Anya, then at Xander who just shrugged his shoulders in defeat, then at Anya again, who wore a pair of pleading eyes.
“Oh, fine.” Buffy sighed loudly, rubbing her eyes to clear her vision. ”I’m sure Willow and Tara would be thrilled that you’re coming to their hotel.” She said sarcastically, rolling her eyes at the ceiling.
“Yay!!” Anya squealed like child being thrown into the air and catched, she squealed again in a surge of delight. Grabbing Xander’s hands roughly and dragging him out the Summer’s door. “C’mon Xander, let’s go pack.”
“Okaay…” Xander dragged out his words, reluctantly following behind Anya like a puppy. He turned to where Buffy and Dawn were lounging and mouthed the words: ‘I’m sorry.’ Before leaving to pack to New York.
Buffy and Dawn just looked at each other in a slight fear, Anya was coming.
What can go worse?
Christmas Carols
Renee85
A few hours have passed since Willow had proposed to Tara, and now the newly engaged couple were out shopping for gifts for the gang to bring home to Sunnydale, they weren’t coming back for another week and a half but they wanted to window shop. The store they were currently browsing through was pretty expensive but that hadn’t discouraged them in the slightest, they were a few other items in the corner of the shop that was acceptable.
Willow had been pulled into a corner of the store where they had various displays of different kinds of shades. The redhead was having a fantastic time trying each and every one of them on, showing Tara a heart shaped pink shade that she had chosen to buy for Dawn to wear at the beach, and sticking out her tongue as Tara giggled at the sight.
The sunglasses were pretty hideous, but cute at the same time. Pretty quirky style, but that was them.
Willow was always quirky.
They both appreciated each other’s personal styles.
The two girls continued to walk throughout the large store, simply browsing. Willow’s eyes then spotted a stuffed bunny lying in a display box, and it called out to her. She wanted to get the fury animal for Anya, not because she liked rabbits but because she was terrified of them. Willow liked to see Anya squirm, it was a game they played often.
But, deep down, they were pretty civil with each other. Willow had hated her at first when she had first started to date her best friend, but she had grown to tolerate her and build a slight, if not strained, friendship.
Willow smiled devilishly at the stuffed creature for a long moment, turning her head to her fiancée.
Tara just lifted a single eyebrow and shook her head, Willow in turn, looked away. Tara knew what was going through her lover’s mind, and as much fun as it would be to wrap the stuffy bunny in a box and watch Anya scream in terror as she opened it, it would just be too cruel.
Anya wasn’t that bad once you got to know her, her heart was pretty big. What she lacked in tact, she made up in other things. Anya and Tara had a kind of friendship, and it was building a bit higher, though slowly.
“I know Anya isn’t your favorite person.” Tara said to Willow, shaking her head slightly. “But that would kill her.”
“Yeah, you’re right.” Sighed Willow, shifting her gaze away from the stuffed animals. “But, it would be kind of funny.” She pointed out afterwards, giving the bunny a quick glance.
Willow knew Tara was right, Anya was extremely terrified of anything with pointy ears, and as funny as it might be to everyone else, it wasn’t to Anya. It was like someone bringing Willow a box of frog or ponies, she knew what that kind of terror felt like, so she proceeded to walk away. “Or, maybe not.” She said softly.
“Hmm?” questioned Tara as she walked along side her fiancée, not really hearing what the redhead had said.
“Nothing.” Willow shook her head, brushing it off. “I just know how it feels to be so appalled by something.” She shrugged a bit, browsing through some T-shirts that hung on a rack, the over-sized clothes were perfect for Xander and maybe Giles if he would be open to wearing an ‘I love New York’ T-shirt. “If someone brought m something frog-related…I’d pretty much freak out.”
“Frogs, huh?” Tara asked as she picked up a dark button down shirt she wanted to get got Giles, not too dressy but not too casual.
“Absolutely.” Willow almost cringed at the thought of the green, slimy creatures. “I don’t know what it is, but it’s just this fear I have, along with the horsies.” She pointed out.
“Horses are great, Will.” Assured Tara as she squeezed her lover’s hand gently.
Tara had ridden horses many times at her grandmother’s ranch when she was a kid, and she had grown to love the large creatures with a passion. Horses were like oversized dog, completely harmless. Her mom and grandmother had taught her how to ride them carefully and in no time she was riding like a pro, alongside her mother. It was a time in her life when she had the opportunity to spend time with her mother, who she loved more than anything in the world.
Besides Willow.
“I can teach you how to ride one if you like?” she suggested seriously.
“No thanks.” Willow replied quickly, shaking her head feverishly.
“Okay.” Amended Tara, just as quickly, not wanting to push her lover to do something she didn’t want to do. But, deep down, she knew she could probably push through the barrier the redhead had build, and let her fear out.
It would probably be good for them and her in the long run, she had fantasies about riding with Willow on a horse into the sunset.
Kind of like Prince Charming and her Princess but instead of that, it would be Princess Charming and her Princess.
Still, Willow needed time, some day…some day, Willow would face her fear.
“So what should we get Anya and Buffy?” Willow asked as she continued to browse throughout various items in the store.
“I’m not sure.” The blonde crinkled her brow slightly, thinking of the possibilities. “We could probably just put some money in an envelope and give it to Anya, and she’s be ecstatic.” Tara laughed at her own joke, Willow chuckling in return. “But…I don’t know about Buffy…”
“Maybe a leather jacket?” suggested Willow, her eye catching a leather fabric from a rack nearby, she looked at the tag. It was pretty pricey but considering Buffy was her best friend, she deserved it. She picked up the dark colored jacket and showed the clothing material to Tara. “What do you think?” she asked her arms still holding the leather.
“Try it on.” Tara suggested to her lover, Willow and Buffy were pretty much the same weight and height. “You and Buffy are almost identical in height.” She shrugged, reminding her lover.
“I think I’m a little taller.” Willow insisted, slipping the jacket on carefully, after it was on, she stepped back and held out her arms to her lover. “So, whatcha think, Tar?”
“Perfect fit.” Tara smiled at her leather-clad lover, internally feeling instantly aroused at the sight. She had never seen Willow in leather before, only in skirts and jeans, along with a few dresses, but this…it was definitely different, but it was a good different. Willow looked majorly hot. “Goddess, Will.” She sighed aloud. “You look…”
Willow lifted her eyebrows at her lover expectantly, waiting for Tara to finish the sentence that the blonde was having a hard time saying.
“Sexy?” Willow helped Tara out, spinning a bit to show the blonde more of her assets. She paused a bit when her behind was exposed to Tara’s appreciating eyes, wiggling her behind tantalizingly, causing Tara to stifle a moan.
“I got to say, leather…looks really good on you.” She finally managed to utter, still captivated by her lover.
“You think?” she asked playfully. “Maybe we should but two, one for Buffy and one…for us.” She glanced down at her body and then looked into the large full sized mirror that was imbedded into the wall nearby.
The redhead’s green eyes widened as she finally saw herself, saw what Tara saw.
“Wow.” Willow’s jaw dropped, she didn’t really know hoe good she could look in leather until today. She looked way better than Buffy, the red hair was a fitting accessory to the black leather. She looked like an entirely different person, not like herself at all. “I look…”
“We definitely need to get this.” Tara said as she stared at her lover. “You look amazing.”
“I really do.” Willow almost sighed into the mirror, she looked at her lover hurriedly. “Not that I’m conceited or anything, it’s just…”
Tara stopped Willow’s words with a passionate kiss, shutting off her brain temporarily. “We’re getting it.” The blonde said softly into her lover’s ear, nipping her ear lobe briefly. “My little leather-clad fiancée.”
“Yours.” Willow just said, kissing Tara, the leather jacket still on her.
~~
Meanwhile:
After calling the airlines and booking a hotel room, the foursome were on their way to Willow and Tara’s hotel. There was only one room available, it turns out, with only a queen sized bed. So, the four of them either had to share a room, or Xander and Anya could take one room and Dawn and Buffy could try to convince Willow and Tara to share a room with them.
Anya and Xander, in a hotel bed, was not something Buffy and Dawn wanted to think about. And knowing Anya, it was probably the only thing she could think about. Willow and Tara were much more in control. They were the better choice.
Anya, Xander, Buffy, and Anya were all cramped into the same cab. Buffy sat in the front near the driver, which was rare and a bit odd, but necessary. Dawn, meanwhile, was stuck in between Anya and Xander in the back. Anya’ s elbow kept hitting Dawn in the face, which aggravated the teenager.
“Anya!” Dawn yelled in frustration. “Your elbow keeps hitting me in the face!”
“Well, I hardly have any room to move my arms.” Anya insisted, a bit aggravated as well. “Xander, scoot a bit to your left so Queen Dawn here can have more space.” The ex-demon ordered her boyfriend, watching him comply.
“Are you happy now?” asked Anya in an irritated voice.
Dawn just puffed her chest.
“Yeah, actually.” Dawn retorted, crossing her arms in front of her chest. “You don’t know how good it feels to not have a giant elbow always jabbing you in the face.” The younger Summer’s sister said sarcastically. “Thank you, Anya.”
“Your welcome.” Anya nonchalantly replied, instantly in a good mood. “Ooh, look Xander!” She pointed out the window as the cab came to a red light. “A cute puppy!”
Dawn rolled her eyes, sighing loudly.
Buffy just giggled from her seat in the front.
“So, Buff…” Xander started from the back, ignoring the feuding couple who sat beside him. “How long until we get there?”
“Soon.” She turned her back to her three friends. Her gaze came to land at Dawn and Anya. “So, if you two can just refrain from killing each other for a few more minutes, I’d really appreciate it.” She strictly advised, her hazel eyes narrowing at the two girls.
“Fine.” They both said simultaneously, causing Buffy to bite her lip.
“Okay.” Buffy turned back towards the road. “That’s all I’m asking, you two murdering each other in the back seat just isn’t a good site.”
The two girls said nothing, and Buffy and Xander liked it that way.
The taxi ride was bad enough as it is.
~~~

Willow and Tara were finished shopping and were on their way to their hotel room, they had the store wrap their gifts for them so they didn’t have to do it when they got back, besides, the couple didn’t have any wrapping paper left anyway.

And even if they did, Willow was horrible at it, it looked as if a five-year-old had wrapped the gift instead of a grown woman. Tara was pretty good with the wrapping of the gifts, but ended up overdoing it, with glitter and ribbons, and a few other sparkly things she liked to add as a special touch.

Willow had gone and bought the leather jacket for herself, buying a slightly different one for Buffy.

The redhead was already wearing the leather jacket as she proceeded to unlock their hotel room door, Tara was very much appreciating the sight of her fiancée all leather-clad.

She was totally hot.

It was a different look for sure.

When their door was finally opened the two girls put their two large bags on the floor beside their bed, Tara had taken off her shoes for comfort and Willow followed her lead, the redhead was about to remove her leather jacket but Tara stopped her.

They had forgotten to close their door all the way, the door was still opened a crack.

“No.” the blonde touched her lover’s hands lightly to indicate that she wanted Willow to keep her jacket on. “Leave it.” She said sensually, leading them towards their bed and further into the room.

“Leave it, huh?” Willow smirked at Tara’s slightly dilated eyes. “Does my honey like the leather, maybe she’s a little obsessed?” She smiled as she stole a quick kiss. Tara laid flat on her back on the bed, with a leathery Willow laying on top of her, carefully laying all the way down, her light weight sitting comfortably onto her blonde lover.

Willow kissed Tara again, a bit deeper this time.

When their kiss subsided, Tara inhaled deeply for breath.

“A little.” The blonde confessed, her cheeks burning. “I never thought you would look so amazingly hot in leather…you look—“ Tara was suddenly cut off by Willow lips onto hers, their kiss getting increasingly more passionate.

“Amazingly hot?” the redhead offered with a smile, kissing Tara’s neck gently, tasting her pulse point.

Tara stifled a moan, biting her bottom lip. “Yeah.” She tried to nod, then kissed Willow even more feverishly.

Tara grabbed Willow’s waist with both of her hands, Willow caught the hint and straddled the blonde, yet the two of them still fully clothed. Willow realized this and started on the buttons of Tara’s blouse, unbuttoning the first two, exposing a huge chunk of Tara’s chest, just her chest, not her breast.

Her bra was pretty much still on, Willow wanted to keep that for later, she wanted to go slow today.

Willow leaned down to kiss Tara again, as Tara leaned up to kiss Willow.

She was beyond aroused.

They were again, oblivious. Nobody else existed at that moment, only themselves. They still hadn’t registered the fact that their hotel door was practically opened, just a crack, but still opened to the public.

Or anyone who might walk in.

Which happened to be the Scoobies.

Buffy, Xander, Anya, and Dawn were just a few yards away from Willow and Tara’s room. Dawn held a piece of paper up that contained the number of the two witches room, she read it again to make sure.

“It’s that room over at the end.” Dawn pointed at the direction of where Willow and Tara were. “I hope they’re there.” She added as the four of them walked closer to the room. She was eager to see the two witches, she missed them a lot.

“I’m sure they are.” Xander stated at they neared the room. “I can’t wait to see how surprised Will is.”

The other three just nodded.

Tara’s blouse was now completely unbuttoned, Willow had made sure of that. But her bra was still on, Willow waned to save that for later. The two were still making out quite feverishly, Willow on top of Tara, Tara below Willow.

Tara’s arms were wrapped around Willow’s back, pulling her even closer than humanly possible, Willow leaning a bit on her elbows to gain more access to Tara’s assets.

They were obviously oblivious to the approaching foursome.

Dawn, Buffy, Xander, and Anya were all laughing at something Xander had said to them as they finally reached Willow and Tara’s hotel, they all noticed that the door was left opened a crack, anyone could come in.

And anyone did.

Dawn let herself in quickly, her eyes widening as she stepped back into her sister. “Whoa!” her eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as she saw Willow on top of Tara…on the bed.

Buffy was about to ask why Dawn was stepping back suddenly when she looked ahead, she turned her back as well. Xander’s eyes widened and he quickly left the room to wait out in the hall, but Anya stood for a bit with appreciative eyes, captivated. Buffy saw Anya’s gaze and roughly pulled Anya away from the scene.

“Hey!” Anya yelled loudly, angry that Buffy had pushed her aside to see the view of the witches, and a leather-clad Willow.

Willow was still kissing Tara when she turned her head to the side as she heard Anya’s loud voice, her eyes widened when she saw the entire gang at her doorstep, she hopped off Tara, completely surprised. Tara was about to protest when she followed Willow’s gaze, she yelped and began to button up her blouse. “Oh, goddess!” she almost screamed in embarrassment.

“What are you guys doing here?” Willow asked the gang, her hair rumpled, she tried to straighten it with her hands, then she quickly grabbed a brush from the dresser and brushed her hair. Her breathing was heavy, and her cheeks blushed deep red.

Tara couldn’t look at them, instead choosing to look down at her feet. She was blushing as well.

“We came to surprise you.” Xander explained with an embarrassed smirk.

“You couldn’t possibly have any worse timing.” Willlow said grumpily, but still happy that the gang had come to visit. “I’m glad you guys are here.” She said honestly, stepping forwards to hug and greet their friends.

“Me too.” Tara finally stepped up alongside her girlfriend, she grabbed Dawn in a huge hug.

“Wow, Will.” Buffy laughed impressed. “Look at you with the leather.”

“Yeah, Willow.” Xander stepped forward and wrapped an arm around his oldest friend. “You look really hot.”

“Very doable.” Anya nodded appreciably.

Five eyes turned to look at Anya.

“What?” the ex-demon asked, confused at why everyone was staring at her. “What did I say?”

Everyone just shook his or her heads.

“So, did you guys…” Buffy trailed off, looking down at the two girls hands. “I think a congratulations is in order.” She said aloud when she saw the rings on both girls fingers.

“Oh, yeah.” Tara remembered, holing out her hand to show her friends the ring Willow had given her. “We’re engaged!” She said with a large grin, the redhead showed her ring in return. The two girls had on huge smiles.

Anya, Buffy, Dawn, and Xander all grabbed Willow and Tara in a huge bear hug.

“Yay!” Anya shouted in excitement, jumping up just once, which surprised the gang.

“What?” the ex-demon frowned at the looked everyone was giving her. “I’m happy for them, even Willow.” She shrugged nonchalantly. “Plus, I get to help plan the wedding, maybe pick out the dresses?” she suggested happily, looking forward to contribute her part in her first lesbian wedding.

“What do you guys think of Burlap?” asked Anya, putting her arms around the two girls, one witch on either side of her. Anya lead the two slightly away, telling them about her plans. Yapping away like she always did.

Willow and Tara carried terrified looks, their eyes as wide as owls.

“This is going to be a disaster.” Buffy stated matter of factly, looking at her sister. "You know that right?"

“Yeah.” Dawn smirked as she watched Anya, her arms still wrapped around the two girls. “But it’ll be fun.”

This has got to be the cutest bit of fluff ever. My face is now incredibly sore from all of the smiling I've been doing since I started reading. And Willow in leather is just too hot for words. :drool Lucky Tara...

I believe in the madness called "now."
