Authors Note- well I don’t really have one this time so blah blah, oh yeah I proof read myself so sorry for any errors, and its AU.
Tara was sitting in the bar waiting for Willow to arrive, she looked confused and upset. She was going over in her head what she was going to say to the petite redhead. She played, frustratingly with the fingers as if they held all the answers. She was just cursing under her breath when Willow arrived at the door. The smile which painted across Willow’s face gradually faded when she sensed Tara's discomfort. She went over the blonde who still hadn’t realised Willow’s entrance.
Tara’s blonde hair had fallen in front of her face, clouding her emotions from Willow. The redhead gently played with the ends of Tara’s hair and whispered. “What’s up baby” Tara’s body tensed under her touch and she felt unable to move away from it. She finally broke the contact by standing up. She straightened out her body, and didn’t make eye contact with the expectant redhead.
“Willow, there’s some things which I need to tell you.” she sighed deeply and was about to carry on when Willow cut in.
“Tara you can tell me anything, I’ll understand I promise.” Willow tried to reach out for the blonde’s hand, it had already been to long since they last made contact. Tara contemplated taking her hand, but then took a few steps towards the exit of the bar.
“Not here, I know somewhere we can g-g-go. It’s a lot more private.” She turned her back to Willow and began walking out of the bar, and down the bustling street. Closely followed by a very puzzled redhead.
Tara led Willow to a very private spot in the park, which was surrounded by trees and flowers. The humid air around them and semi-darkness was slightly comforting. Tara found the corner that she would often come to sit in when she needed some peace to read her book. She had wanted to share it with Willow, but not because of what she had to say now.
Tara stopped with her back to Willow, she didn’t want to have to turn and face her. Willow took Tara’s hand and turned her round, “Shall we sit down”. She wanted to make Tara as comfortable as possible. They both sat down on the crisp grass and Tara tried to pull her hand out of Willow’s grasp but Willow wouldn’t allow her to.
“Willow, this isn’t going to be easy anyway, but by doing that your making it fifty times harder” Tara tears laced her voice, and she hid her face behind her hair once again. Willow used her other hand to place Tara’s blonde hair behind her ear. She then trailed her hand down Tara’s jaw line and lifted the blonde’s chin up so that their gazes met.
Tears glazed over Tara’s eyes and she blurted out, “Willow, I’m so sorry, it wasn’t meant to be like this”. The salt tears ran down Tara’s face and Willow wiped them away with the tips of her fingers.
“It’s going to be okay, I promise.” Her voice was calm and loving. “Please Tara, tell me what’s wrong”. Tara took a couple of deep breaths and bit her lower lip to prevent herself from crying.
“We can’t do this anymore, there’s things that are completely out of my control. I’m leaving tomorrow night, I’m r-r-really sorry.” She got up and began to walk out of the park. It took Willow’s brain and little time to register what had just happened. She jumped to her feet and grabbed both of Tara’s forearms.
“Tara, no, I won’t let you go. Please baby I need you. I’ve only just found you!” she was pleading with Tara desperately and tears were streaming down her face.
“I’m sorry” she release herself from Willow’s clasp and ran out of the park.
Willow didn’t know what to do, she began walking aimlessly, trying to think about what had happened. She must have done something wrong, otherwise people wouldn’t keep leaving her like this. She felt like there was something wrong with her, why did she drive these people away? Was there something that she did that made people not want to be with her anymore when they knew what she was like? She was asking herself a million and one questions, not being able to find a substantial answer to any of them.

Tara ran all the way back to the bar, and sat down on the chair in the corner. She couldn’t stop herself from crying, the tears just kept on flowing and she held her head in her hands. She sensed a looming shadow on the doorway. She recognised the form instantly. She welled up with anger and pain, this was the last person in the world that she wanted to see.
“Tara, what was that little show about then?” Tara’s father took slow, menacing strides into the bar, looking around casually at all the décor. “Just as shabby and degrading as a remember, I can’t believe that I agreed to let you work here.” He sighed slightly and shrugged his shoulders. “Well, at least your coming home now Tara” he let out a muffled laugh and a sly smirk crossed his features.
Tara’s blood shot eyes glared up at him, degust and hatred filled her voice. “I’m not coming”.
