Bad Fanfic! No Biscuit!

Postby Thianne » Fri Sep 29, 2006 10:32 am

i don't know if this can help the writing community, or whatever. i'm not a fanfic writer, but i am a reader, and sometimes bad fanfics are the death of me. so...i found a site, where the main mistakes and bad writing choices in fanfics are outlined, listed and addressed. i thought that, for a person that wants to start writing fanfics, might be useful to read the "do's" and "dont's" of fanfic writing.

so, here's the link! Bad Fanfic! No Biscuit!

Wow. Thanks for posting that link. It's not just hysterically funny; it's also good information for writers. I see a lot of the things they caution against in fan fic (no wonder they are pointing them out). My favorite is that the stories list the bad elements with "pointless" being my favorite. Thanks for the link.

I cannot convey how accurate that all is.

Reccomended reading for everyone thinking of putting pen to paper, ever. Or keyboard to software.
