i think perhaps Tara might have a small tat of a little celtic design on her ankle or something like that. i'm not sure what willow'd do.

here in albuquerque, there's a promotion going on where if you agree to have it done on the sidewalk in front of the store, you can get your nipples pierced for free!

That's really funny!

Well, mine was totally fine for about 3 or 4 months, but then, during a fun little make-out session, my eyebrow got bumped and irritated, and it started to go downhill from there. I ended up taking it out about 7 months after I'd gotten in done. It's hard to say what your body will do. As long as you keep it clean after you first get it, and then are careful about it afterwards, you're probably fine. The only people I've met with eyebrow piercings have eventually had to take them out, but sometimes after a few years, not as soon as I did.

Willowlicious, you're never too old for tatoos! It's your body, you can do whatever you want to it, whenever you want! Go for it! As for the pain thing, there are certain parts of the body that are more painful (base of the spine, ankle - places with less flesh), so just pick someplace that will hurt less. Mine's in the small of my back (base of the spine, one of the most painful places), but I found that it didn't so much hurt as it was just an annoying feeling, like someone poking you with a sharp fingernail over and over again. And when you get them done on your spine, it sort of makes your whole spine vibrate ... But once they're done inking the tatoo, that's it, no more pain!

Hey everybody Congrats on being Gay Now! Dazey!

Okay, I've been wondering about tattoos for awhile, and seeing how there are all these tattoo-experienced people here...do tattoos really hurt? I really want one, but I don't have a very high pain threshold...I actually passed out when I got my ear double-pierced

I see Willow as a naval-pierced girl, plus a tattoo. Tara wouldn't be into body piercing, I don't think, but she'd definatly have some cool wicca tattoo Night all

Pain.. Hmmm. Well, see, that's a funny thing--it really depends on your threshold for it and where you plan on getting inked. I've gotten every limb tattooed, along w/my back, my breast and my neck.
Honestly, I would say that the one on my back hurt the most, followed by the one on my thigh--but, see, I was stoned when I got it, which you should NEVER do because it just magnifies your sensations and what normally would hurt a smidge makes you want to jump out of your skin.
When I was getting my 1st tat, I was watching this really HUGE biker friend of my brothers get a back piece done and while they were doing the top part of it on his neck, he turned a very unattractive shade of green and had to go vomit in the bathroom.. And, I had a friend that got her neck done and she loved it..didn't bother her at all.. and she's skinnier than SMG.
But, here's the thing to remember
1)It depends on your tat artist--some people will just hack away at you and the deeper they go in, the more it's gonna hurt. Find out about the local tattoo artists--get to know their work--because, for most people, it becomes a relationship akin to the one that people have w/their gynecologists.
2)Anywhere that is ontop of bone(like back, rib, wrist, neck..etc..) will hurt.. Anywhere that's fleshy will not be too bad--ontop of fat is better than muscle.
3)The sound of the drill tends to be what bugs people out the most.. It's very much a denisty sound.. I know for me, the second it gets turned on, my heart starts to race.
4)The one trick I learned when I was young and had to have blood drawn was to look and focus on something else.. Look at the flash art, look at their Dept. of Health Certificate, or the art on the artists arm.. Whatever.. If you distract yourself, you should be better than if you were just to watch the entire time.
5)If you're getting pierced.. Breathing is everything. When I first got my nipple pierced I didn't breathe and I nearly passed out from it. When I got the other one done, I listened to the man and I breathed like I was in yoga class. Honestly, it made it a hell of a lot bearable. I took this w/me when I got my eyebrows done and it made all of the difference in the world.
Cool?

Tell me about it! I had to pierce my eyebrow 3 freaking times before my body realized I wouldn't let it get away with it! lol I've had this piercing for almost 18 months now and from time to time it gets infected but after 3 days of cleaning and stuff it's good again. Besides, this one only stick because my piercer changed the "|" format for a "(" format. He told me these ones are harder to be rejected by the body.

I had this same fear before I got my 1st tattoo but the guy was just *so* nice to me that after talking to him for 10 minutes I was very calm! The part of drawing it, doesn't hurt. I at least felt nothing! The inking part is the b*tch... I mean, it's totally tolerable, but it kinda burns, I don't know how to explain. Anyway, when I was there having my back tattoed, this girl goes in and tells the guy she passed out last time she was tattoed. The guy goes like, ok, lay here then. After 15, 20 minutes, the girl was out and the guy was working as if nothing had happened! That was funny... when she got back she was like, oh, I thought I'd wake up and find the work done! LOL!!

As for W/T, I could see them both with a belly ring, maybe tongue for Tara, not for Willow though. Tattoo I guess just for Willow. Some earth thing.

Thanks for the tips Banshee and Legs! My 20th birthday is coming up, and I'm hoping to get the nerve to do it up by then. Nothing like celebrating your birthday with pain and trauma

As far as W and T having tongue-piercings, I can't get past the ones in Rat Race. I just about died laughing at that movie. heehee
I think tattoos are quite likely though...
Yum.
I picture Tara with something like the tree of life. Possibly a *ahem* Willow tree?
Mmmmmmm.... Small of the back? Yummy.

I think Tara would be the perfect candidate for a nipple piercing, 'specially with Willow being the boob gal she is! Besides, I don’t think either of them would really be going all out... doesn't really fit their image.

If u think tongue piercings are overrated sexually, then ur partner isn’t doing it right!!

I'm kinda obsessive about my teeth, but I got my tongue pierced (like everyother lesbian and their dog) and as soon as I could change it, I put a plastic bar with plastic ends, special plastic cos I know its not good to use it in ur body, in my tongue and I change it really regularly. I talked to my dentist about it too, and she said its not doing me any damage.

ohh! and my itchy titchy teeny tiny tattoo on my foot is a star! its a GREAT tattoo to have hehe IMHO n e way!
