Okay this may not be a big deal to anyone else but Ive decided to get my eyebrow pierced (and a HUGE thank you to Rach, who will be there to hold me hand) not exactly big or in anyway exciting news, but for me who up until recently was a complete geek it is! Now I'll be a geek with a pierced eyebrow and dang proud of it!!!
Which brings me to the W/T Q:
If W(and/or take your pick) T had a piercing or tattoo where and what would it be of? (this question is dedicated to wiccachica for the fabulous Late Shift fic, which is on part 91 already!!! COOL)

Yay Disasterarea on your pierced eyebrow! I used to have a pierced eyebrow, but it grew out (that happens a lot with skin piercings). In fact, I used to have 17 piercings, but now I only have 12 (lost the eyebrow, nose and 3 in my ears. now i only have the naval and 11 in the ears.)

I think Willow would get her naval pierced. I agree that Tara might get her tongue pierced. As far as tattoos are concerned - I think Tara might be the type to go for Chinese characters in the small of her back (or maybe that's just me) - maybe something nature related ... as long as she makes sure the character actually means what it says *grumble grumble* mine's supposed to say honesty, but it really means loyalty. blech. loyalty's fine though too. I'm definitely loyal to all my friends, but when you get something and you think it means one thing ...

My students love counting my earrings, so do the little kids in my Taekwondo class. They never seem to tire of it (of course, with more than 700 students, I could go the entire year with a different student counting my earrings every day).

hi. Does anyone know a website where I can get the Buffy Moon wallpaper? It was my wallpaper for the longest time. And I acidentally replaced it. Its the wallpaper that has the full moon , and Buffy the Vampire slayer written across the moon. I just cant remember the site from which I first got it. Oh yeah and at the bottom right hand corner the wallpaper said "just me". Or something like that. Thank you.

okay back to Willow and Tara, I vote for the tongue piercing, I could see Willow doing it but some how not Tara, but you never know. as far as Tattoos.... something nature/earth related. I like the tattoo Aly has on her ankle. Don't know what it is but its cool.

Tara would get a small tatoo of SpongeBob Squarepants on her shoulder, but I can't really see her going in much for the piercings...a friend of mine who's pretty Willowesque got a gy-normous orange octopus (her totem animal - she made a giant felt one for Burning Man a couple of years back) tattooed on the small of her back as a reminder to never hold back from pursuing her creative instincts and interests...maybe Willow would go for something similarly extreme.

It's still Wednesday night here in Northern California. I'm so psyched about finally making Cool Monster Fighter that I can't stop posting! At this rate, it might only take me half a million years (as opposed to a million) to get to Willowhand....

mmmm...piercings... Me, I've got 8 tattoos and only 4 piercings---I was also a victim of eyebrow ring grow out. So, now I'm left w/2 scars and no story to go with them. But, I'm getting that 'modification' itch again, so I may actually get something done this weekend..

I actually don't see Tara doing much of the modification thing.. maybe a tounge ring.
Willow.. I think she'd do anything..

You know, piercings don't really hurt that much. There's just the quick pinch of getting it done. Sure, depending what you get pierced, it might be sore for a little while afterwards, but nothing that can't be helped with an Advil or two!

I totally know what you mean. I've been wanting more tattoos for awhile now - I have three all planned out and ready to get, but there are so few places to get tattoos in Korea, and I'd much rather wait till I was back in the states and could go to a reputable place where I speak the language fluently. Piercings too, are most definitely "addictive" in a way. Once I got my ears double pierced, that was it! And then when I discovered I could pierce my ears myself! Woo boy! I've been wanting to get my lip pierced for awhile now too, not my labrea (spelling?) but on the side of my lower lip. I wanted to do my tongue after I did my eyebrow, but then it became "trendy" - you know something's gotten too trendy when your 3 years younger brother who's in high school at the time wants to get his tongue pierced too.

I am pretty plain myself with only my ears pierced (1 in 1 ear, 2 in the other). My gf has her naval pierced and has two tattoos--a full arm band that is squiggly (but I guess to go all the way around the arm really, really, really hurts so she sends a warning to anyone wanting one) and the pride symbol on her lower back with the Japanese symbols for spirit and peace inside of it. I think that's what the symbols mean. I always forget.

I don't see Willow and Tara as the piercing kind. As for a tattoo, it would have to be small and something using plain and natural colours. And I'd think it would be something meaningful.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. Gotta go to lunch now. There's actually snow on the ground here in Toronto. I can't wait for spring!

I think Tara would get her tongue pierced... nummy. Willow,her navel,or maybe somewhere more erm,private. I like Aly's tattoo,I could see either of them getting something similar.

I'm pathetic. I have no tattoos or piercings. I've had my ears pierced three times in my life, but they've always gotten terribly infected even with multiple daily cleanings and a strict 18k gold earring rule. My body just rejects all things pointy, I guess (er...wait...that's not entirely true, but never you mind! ). I've always wanted to get a small tattoo on my shoulder or the small of my back or something. I still might, but since I'm 31 now, my time may have passed. Sigh.

As for Willow and Tara. I can't quite picture them with any piercings. As for tattoos, it's weird, but Aly and Willow are so entirely separate in my mind that, even though I love Aly's tattoos, I totally picture Willow's body as being tattoo free. Not that Willow wouldn't get one. I think she would. Something small and for Tara's eyes only. I think Tara would too. Something for Willow.

I just don't see Willow and Tara with piercings. Willow's "pain, it's not a good thing" and Tara's naturalistic bent would preclude getting pierced.

Maybe it's my prejudices talking here, but (at the risk of alienating some of my colleagues) I have severe philosophical objections to piercing (even ears, to some extent) and tatoos. To me, the human body was not made to be hole-punched like some piece of paper you want to stick in a notebook. As my old (computer) guru used to say, "Your body is your Hard Drive. We are Information, stored in a medium of meat."

Still, that's just my opinion. YMMV.

You're never too old for a tattoo! I got my first last year at the ripe age of 41. My kids and wife paid for it on Father's Day. It's a big griffin on my arm. Now I'm hooked, I want more. Only one piercing - in my ear. My wife and I got matching piercings when we moved in together 17 years ago. We still wear matching earrings but have non-matching wedding rings. Go figure.

Okay, ramble mode off.

I don't see Tara as the piercing type - except ears. But it's always the quiet ones you have to look out for... Willow might go for it though. I can easily see both with discreet tattoos. Especially a cute matching one.

first off - i'm all excited because my parents finally agreed on me getting a tattoo! i'll be calling for an appointment tomorrow... *goes into giddy mode* woohoo! i'll be getting a small star on my left collarbone... at first i wanted to get a big star on my lower back with the words gonna twinkle beneath it (tori amos reference - i love that woman), but then i realised how almost everyone gets their lower back tattood these days, so, no.

second: what's it with all the eyebrow piercing growing out? ack! i don't want that! how does it happen? when? after how long? is there a way to stop it from happening?

third: i don't really see will or tara getting any tattoos or piercings... but then again, DumbSaint does have a point; gotta watch out for the shy types... *g*

No, you're not the only one. Besides, I've had to sit through plenty of discussions with my mom about how piercings in your mouth damage your teeth. Just doesn't seem so attractive after reading numerous newspaper clippings your grandmother has graciously saved for you. Ahem. Piercings and tattoos? Sooooooo sexy. I am all in favor of body modification. I would have way more piercings than I do (only 6, 3 in each ear) if I didn't get massive infections every time. When I got the third hole in my left ear, my poor lobe swelled up so much it actually swallowed the earring. So gross. I had to let it close, yet I got it redone because I couldn't stand being uneven.

I don't think Willow or Tara would go for any facial piercings, but I could definitely see either or both of them with pierced navels. Hey, Tara has one on the cover of WannaBlessedBe, and it looks damn good. Plus they both have super-yummy tummies, in different ways, so why not accessorize them?

I could also see both of them getting small, very meaningful tattoos in some private area.
