DO NOT POST - Backup in Progress

Anthony Stewart Head

Postby wiltar4evr » Sun Feb 03, 2002 10:31 pm

I've been pondering this for awhile now...Does anyone know how many episodes Anthony Stewart Head will be in this season?
As a reacurring character,is ASH contracted for a certain amount?
This has really been bothering me lately...I miss Giles!

Which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it and above."

The latest I've seen is that ASH has been expecting to come back for something toward the end of the season, but that hasn't happened yet. They should be filming Episode 16 or 17 right now, so there's still time for him to make a return.

It's 1 in the morning, so don't be surprised if I'm wrong...

I think he signed for six. He's done, what, 5? So maybe he'll be back for the finale or something.

Not totally sure, tho...

Tyche posted the story of a fan encounter with ASH in the first post on page 6 of the season 6 spoiler thread in which he answers your question.

I'm much more concerned that these ASH shows ("Ripper/Watcher" and "Manchild") show up on PBS here in the US, since I don't get BBCA where I am .

I totally understand ASH's wishes to be near his family here in England, but you know, Buffy just ain't the same without him. Of course, one person does not a show make, I realise that. But seeing as he's one of the originals...it's weird thinking that he might not come back.

I was also wondering; what does this bode for Season 7?

Sounded to me like he expects to be back at some point. And yeah, I hope he'll be around for another ep this year. And we'll hopefully see him a bit next year too. I agree, Ruth, it's not the same without his presence. And I know he wanted to be home with his family, and that it does fit the "Oh grow up" theme... but I still miss him.

I read somewhere that even though he has this new show going on, he made himself available for Buffy whenever they need. I know it's not the same, but at least gives us hope that he'll eventually be in Buffy...

According to the other ASH Richard and Judy thread he was on Johnnys show. I'm going to check my NTL guide later and see if it's repeated tonight.

Do ya think it's worth while keeping an eye on Richard and Judy incase they reschedule ASH.

Oh...I think it's worth keeping an eye on Richard in case he tries his shoplifting tricks again...heh heh.

Honestly, I think they were plugging the show Manchild rather than the guest himself, so I reckon Nigel Havers publicised it enough. However, it won't do any harm to watch R&J again...or, will it?

Okay, it would seem that Johnny isn't on BBC1 tonight but he is on BBC Choice after midnight. His guests include Sir Ian McKellern so I will tune in for him anyway. Now all I need to find out is, when this show aired on BBC1 incase there is a chance that the show with ASH has't been repeated on Choice yet.

I missed ASH on Johnny Vaughn, which is a shame because I think Johnny Vaughn's a really great interviewer, and a very funny man.

The only upside of ASH not being a regular on Buffy anymore is that he's doing all these UK interviews.

I came here to whine about missing Richard and Judy... but obviously I didn't miss much.
Does anyone else kinda hate Richard? He's the most patronizing person I've ever seen on TV - every two minutes he's asking someone to repeat themselves or clarify something, as if his audience were mentally subnormal.

Richard reminds me or Mr Hamilton, actually.

AGHHH I was so busy finishing off the Valentine gift for my 'Willow' that I didn't realise the time until 5:45 and just caught the last few minutes.
These interviews are always bad because what can you really talk about in 5 minutes or so... and with Richard and Judy... well.. anyway... I'm glad I saw ASH all be it short and sweet.

What did Richard say to the wonderful Sir Ian? I love that guy to bits. Has anyone been reading his LOTR log (grey book) on his web site? He is a lovely funny man.

Anyway, when exactly does Manchild start?
I can't believe I am going to have to watch something with that pompous a** Nigel Havers.

'Manchild'? Starting Tue 19Feb BBC2 10:00pm.
Couple of good fotos of ASH in TV Times for that week (page 24/25).

I hope it's going to be good...

What did he say to Sir Ian? I don't know, but he seriously pissed off my girlfriend, and I didn't want that last night...Thanks Richard!

Sorry to 'bump' this again, but wanted to ask...i didn't catch the name, but a girl from Australia e-mailed Jonathan Ross to ask ASH about his CD...Was it a Kitty?
****
Richard made a remark which I thought insulted Sir Ian's sexual orientation, really annoyed me!

ok... i know there's a manchild thread around somewhere... but i've just spent the last 20 minutes looking for it and i can't find it.

i've probably been staring right at it or something... so if someone else knows where to find it, feel free to delete this thread.

i missed Manchild this week. i don't know how it happened, but somehow i ended up watching Gossip on Sky Premier instead.

and now i've realised that i missed Manchild... and i'm trying to find it online...

just wondered if anyone knew where i could download it. can't find it anywhere so far.

I've not seen anything on the web, but I saw it for the first time on Tuesday. ASH did a very good *flustered giles* impression whilst looking at a painting. the others wanted to see the scar after his knob-op. Cue much 14 y.o. hilarity [mock seriousness]

Have to say, I'm not taken by this prog, on the first showing, but I will perservere in the hope that it improves.

BTW .... ASH appeared to be wearing his *Ripper* white t shirt and leather jacket in one scene.

Eagle eyed Kitties will undoubtedly get a few unintended crossovers if they're quick.
