This morning, snow is magic because it gave me an excuse-free way to be 45 minutes late for work (including taking the bus a few extra stops to buy a really yummy scrambled egg-and-cheddar on an everything bagel.

Lovely thread...what is magical to me?

I think, it's when someone touches you...just a simple touch but with the right people it expresses a lot of concern and well, love. But this could just be me and teh fact that I'm hopelessly in love right now.

Also, there's this one thing that puts me in a state of total happiness: being outside at night when it's not too warm and not too cold, the stars shine briliiantly above me, there's a little breeze and I just walk..I feel so free and when someone's with me, there's a certain closeness with them that I treasure. I can remember only a few times when I was in this situation...at the world exposition 2000 with my brother...with my friend after having watched "Almost Famous"...one or two other times.

Love. Loving someone. Caring for someone. Being honest with someone. Thinking in ways that seemed impossible before. Surprising yourself. Being real.

The trailer for Dead Ringers is really funny. I like the impression Harry Hill does of him on TV Burp.

Well, I find it funny, maybe I've been living in the north east too long and it has warpped my fragile little mind!

Ok I go away for a couple of days and I come back to talk of Paul Daniels, 'The Lovely Debbie McGhee' and Wizbit. Very very surreal.

As for magic. The beer scooter. Never fails to deliver me home (well, most of the time). I certainly don't know how he does it but I'm eternally grateful. (For some reason I consider it a 'he', not sure why. Anyway...)

Well, a little sarcastic to start with but, what seems magic to me is when you really, really need to talk to someone they aren't there, like magic they vanish!

How you can always manage no matter what happens.....people have inner strengths they don't know are there until they are needed. That to me is like magic.
