I wish.......

10. That I didnt keep so many secrets as a child

9. That I had my mothers patience

8. That my brother becomes the next Michael Dell like I know he can and will

7. For my very own W/T all in one, someone who would genuinely love me despite all my faults

To be a part of the Entertainment Industry so I can put tons more positive gay and lesbian portrayals on the big and small screen, so no one ever has to feel the pain of losing the only positive image they had of a beautiful loving lesbian relationship like I did (Ive always dreamed of working behind the scenes in the Entertainment Industry)

5. That I know someday what it feels to be truly happy and not be terribly frighten by it

4. That I had more time to get to know my grandmother who passed July-4-1995

3. That my wish list didnt sound so much like a big sob story D

2. That when Im old and gray I have already met the majority of all the wonderful kittens here and that were still here and running just as strong

I wish to the spend the rest of my life treasuring the small moments:

1. hearing her laugh at my jokes,
2. seeing her stirring a pot on our stove,
3. feeling her breathing each night beside me,
4. watching her cheeks flush with color when she drinks too much,
5. reading a shopping list made out entirely in her handwriting,
6. staring into her eyes as she babbles on and on and on,
7. feeling the warmth of her hand on my hip as she moves me aside so she can move past me,
8. watching her roll her eyes when I say something really stupid,
9. listening to her sing in the shower, &
10. watching her say "I love you baby"

In no particular order -

+ to get a job that inspires me. and pays a lot.
+ find someplace nice to live before I move in a few weeks.
+ that my cat survives the move in one piece. he gets stressed and anxious if I move a chair, let alone move to a different city.
+ that I had the time and money to visit all my old friends at least twice a year, no matter where they are living
+ to find someone to love, who loves me too.
+ that I would wake up in the morning, and find the pain in my wrist gone forever. then be able pick up a pen and write!
+ all the cds & dvds that I want.
+ that my brother and I could hold a conversation longer than 20 minutes before fighting
+ that I can become as strong and caring a person as my grandmother was.
+ to one day see Toad the Wet Sprocket in concert.

Hmm kinda hard to narrow it down to ten wishes but, here goes:
1) To find that *someone special*.
2) To save up enough money during these holidays so that I can afford a new computer with possibly money left over to begin an 'end-of-2003' Sydney holiday fund!
3) To pass each and every single exam next year with results high enough so that I can achieve something in my future.
4) To finally get my drivers licence.
5) To work out a balance with my different friends, to work out what we'll be doing these holidays and to get tickets to the Big Day Out.
6) To (onto the superficial wishes) find a haircut I like, get a tan and lose weight...Hey they're called 'wishes' for a reason.
7) To figure out what I want to be doing after I graduate.
8) To find a job - not just a holiday job.
9) To become a better person and for everyone else also.
10) For peace, understanding, acceptance and love for all....Is that asking for too much!

As for the girls, well that's simple: Peace, love and happiness for all the Scoobies!

7.A flat income tax rate, so I don't have to pay more taxes because I'm "single" and have no kids.
6.Some sort of healthcare reform so that all people, rich and poor, can get medical treatment at reasonable prices.
5.Equal rights for all GLBT people, so my girl and I could get legally married.
4.For Joss to have been fired at the end of season 5 and replaced by Lisa Countryman. And for Amber and Aly to have success in whatever they choose.
3.For my girl to say yes when I ask her to marry me.
2.To be able to walk down any street,anywhere in the world, holding my girl's hand, without fear.
and finally....
1.To spend the rest of my life doing whatever it takes to make my girl happy.

Maybe it's because it's Wednesday; maybe it's because I haven't had enough coffee; maybe it's because I'm feeling sentimental. I don't know.

But I just read all the wishlists again, and I have to say that I was struck by something. Everyone of course said things unique to them, but in general, there are some themes. We want our families to work better, we want to be and see good friends and lovers, we want the time and energy to be creative, we want the world to be tolerant and peaceful and accepting.

I guess I'm just feeling incredibly blessed to be a part of this community today, full of good and creative people who love and work and reflect back to me a world I want to be in.

So thanks.

Excellent topic! Here goes, and in no particular order...

* To have a lovely cottage of my own, somewhere near the Cornwall coast, overlooking dolphin cove.
* To play Viola in Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
* To have enough money to pay back my parents and buy them a dream house somewhere, so my dad could stop stressing.
* That Amber and Aly become the hottest property in Hollywood forever!
* That somehow the mistakes of Season Sux and Severed will be miraculously rectified, in some small way at least.
* That not only do W/T get their own series/movies, but that there is a Xena and Gabrielle movie produced, that is all-gay, all-nekkid and all-resurrected!
* That the world wises up and realises 'Hey! We're all the same!'
* That I get to hold my best-friend one day and call her my girl-friend

Ok, so I'm a couple of days late but here is my wish list anyway:

- more tolerance and consideration in the world; think before you act
- that I had more confidence, ambition, and new what the hell I want to do with my life
- to have enough money to repay my parents so they would never have to work again
- that I hadn't gotten my navel pierced that second time
- to be able to express myself to others easily
- that I hadn't quit playing competitive basketball
- not to be so strict in complying with the rules I set for myself at 16 (no drinking or smoking, and no premarital sex) what was I thinking?
- let my 'wild side'--if I in fact have a 'wild side'--out sometimes
- find that 'special someone'

And finally...the most important of them all...
- to meet/hangout and/or develop a close personal relationship with Alyson Hannigan, Amber Benson, Eliza Dushku, and/or Robert De Niro (please don't ask what the attraction there is, I honestly could not put it into words because it is a mystery to me as well.)

To be perfectly honest, there isn't alot that I want. Just recently, I started dating a great grrl whom I've known for almost a year. And, that's all I've ever wanted. Was to have someone love me and want to be with me. Love has mostly been a one-way street with me. But, this time, she actually loves me too.
And, I gotta tell ya....it's scary how much we are exactly like Willow and Tara. heeheee
