Well I broke down Kittens.

I pulled out the olf Star Trek uniform. Some how I have lost all my pips so now I seem to be an ensign.

Happy Samhain!

I'm not dressing up this year because I'm getting home late tonight from the University. Then as soon as I get home, I have to hand out candy to the trick or treaters.

I am going to wear my traditional Korean dress for Halloween tonight, as it's pretty much the only opportunity I'll have to wear it now. :)

Yay for Halloween!!!

If I was brave, I'd dress up as DMW of course. No, not the one from the show with the bad hair, but rather the one from my story, The Dark Rose.
As for Willow and Tara, I like Triscuit's suggestion of Shakespearean garb; I definitely could see Tara as the elf queen. I could see Willow as Neil Gaiman's death too.

I've been wearing a full-length cape all day.

As for W/T, methinks it'd be fun if Tara dressed up as Dracula with Willow in some kind of white frilly thing plus bite-mark make-up on her throat.

Took my son trick or treating. He was dressed as a skeleton with face paint. He looooooved it.
But was scared by some of the big kids costumes, and my neighbors fog machine..
Ok, I just wanted to go about how cute he is..
thats all

I actually made something this year. I was a rubicks' cube. I painted it and everything with some help. Except I think I put too many rows lol. :lol Shows you how long it's been since I have played with one of those. Really dating yourself too cause my kids were like what's that lol.

I'm dressed as Wicca Group Tara. My hair didn't get really blonde though ... it's more light brown with blonde highlights. Got the zig-zag part happening. Add pink, red, and silver vertically striped skirt, white peasant top with lacey cuffed sleeves, and a sturdy and scuffed pair of black work boots, and there I am. ^_^

My Michelle was unsure which Willow to be, Ghost Willow from Halloween or Vamp Willow. We did her hair okay, but the tips (which are dyed blonde) are now a screaming red-orange, the rest just has highlights since it was too dark to make a huge difference. She's got this really hot all black outfit, flared lace-up pants and a nice lace-up top. Finally, about 15 minutes before I had to take her to work, she decided to go with fangs as well. *grins*

We were stingy this year, didn't hand out candy. When the little monsters were around, I was over at work anyway, checking out everyone's costumes. It was pretty fun.

Oh yeah! And it has now been one year exactly since I moved into the house. Yay! I have lived in Cali for a year! Happy day.

dont know if this is OT (delete if it is but...) but ladyfest has quite an interesting panel member...

The multimedia festival will include music (with artists like Phranc, Sarah Dougher, Call & Response, and Anna Waronker), visual and performance art, spoken word (from Exene Cervenka and Francesca Lia Block, among others), and workshops (including a film panel featuring Allison Anders and Marti Noxon). All proceeds benefit the East Los Angeles Women's Center. For more information, visit www.LadyfestLosAngeles.org.

Marti shmarti is going to be in a feminist convention...

Oh,god. Why don't some of these folks (like MN) just shut up and go away for awhile. Or, are they maybe starting to network because they will soon be out of jobs? (I can dream, can't I?)

Well I think it's nice that Marti is participating in an event to help raise money for a good cause. But, I don't think too many of the people attending are going to care either way that she's there.

You're right, kbk3022. I just got carried away with my "anti-Martiness," still feeling very bitter, and forgot that it's for a good cause.
Sorry about that.

I'm volunterring at the festival.

thing with marti is that she should support with actions not just words. if i see her i will probably tell her how much i admired her once long ago and that last year's buffy, as she's denied many times, was partly her fault too. she shouldn't say it's only joss' decisions because she's up there with the exec prod credit and could have veered the show from joss's insanity. there were so many other ways to execute all the plot lines last year, not just w/t, and she should have been strong enough to stand up for it (like a certain actress that has much more decency). unless she's as whacked up as joss. it's sad to see people you look up to make mistakes that could have been easitly avoided. I mean, last year just with 9-11, they should have been more sensitive to peoples (ok, maybe my own) need to feel safe not used and abused and exploited.
