It's Happy Halloween Thursday, MKF! 10-31-02

Postby Arwen » Wed Oct 30, 2002 9:49 pm

Happy Halloween! My question is, of course, what is everyone dressing up as for today? I am boring, last year I had this whole clown get-up going on, but this year it's jammies! I figure it'll be the one day of the year where I can be totally comfy at work, instead of wearing my stupid uniform!

For our precious Willow and Tara, what can you see them going out as, and would they trick or treat still? (Furiously scraping mind out of gutter) I can see Willow going out in a funky gypsie costume, and Tara being a cat. Meorrrrrrrrrrwwww! *pant pant* Oh gawd. And sure they'd trick or treat, at home anyway. >: Wow, I really need to find a girlfriend. LOL

Happy day kitties, and don't eat too much candy! :)

TRS,

Welcome, Cross-Town Rival.

My parents, uncle, brother, sisters, brother-in-law, and I graduated from USC. (And, no, we're not rich. Far from it, in fact.)

Don't worry, though. Some of my best friends are Bruins.:wink

Happy Halloween Kittens!! :evil Hmmm, costume wise I'm going as a zombie-soldier, for some insane reason!!! My parents are having a huge party Saturday aswell, so we've got gravestones in the garden, green up-lighters on the front of the house, plus a million or so decorations inside!!! :) Should be a giggle!! ;)

As for W&T...I think Vixen-Tara would emerge and she'd dress up as a very sexy witch indeed (think leather and lots of it!:thud ), just to drive Will nuts with longing! :drool :grin As for the Willster, I'd like to see her go as Lara Croft, so she can be all heroic and big-with-the-action-gal!! :grin

Have a spoooooky day y'all!!! :grin

Snuggles,

$C. :lol

I'm not much of a football fan, but I'll be watching the game on TV. I think I'll invite my mom over. She gets positively rabid when she watches 'SC football, and she'll need supervision.

eta: oh, yeah. Halloween. I'm not sure if I'll put on a costume tomorrow. I don't want to scare the little ghosts and goblins who will be coming to my door asking for candy. I just hope that I'll have candy left to give them. I have no self-control where chocolate is concerned.

Ahhh... I have a special place in my heart for Halloween. My birthday is tomorrow, so every year I'm pretty much awake at midnight when the clock ticks over at one Halloween party or another... and there I am, another year older :) I usually throw the party if no one else does!

So happy Halloween to everyone, and have a virtual beverage of whatever kind on me!

Hmm I have no idea what Tara and Willow would dress up as but I could definately see Willow dressing up in some great woman of old times and Tara possibly as a princess or fairy, definately something cutesy!

Well Halloween isn't big over here so I didn't dress up and there are never any parties help really. However we did have trick or treaters come by, my response to which was, "We're NOT in America! We just don't trick or treat here!" Just 'cause all it is is a scam for quick candy without everyone else getting a day of fun! It's just not fair!
One more day of the week to go, I'm going to some fire works tommorow night, should be fun!
Happy Halloween everyone.

If I'm to be completely honest, I'll have to say that I hate Halloween. *ducks*

It's not a German tradition at all, I don't know anyone who celebrates it and yet you see these ceramic-pumpkins and costumes in shops everywhere. It only started a few years ago and it's soooo obvious it's all about the money-making. It's bad enough to see christmas being used to make money every year, but to actually try and establish a holiday just to make money out of it :spin

And it's really not Halloween's fault, I know :wink

Happy Halloween to everybody! :grin

First of all: Happy Halloween everybody!

I have to agree with kukalaka in one point, Halloween is all about the money here in germany. I like the day itself but not the stuff they do here, just money money money :sigh
My friends and I want to go to a club where you get in for free if you dress up. They want to go as vampires, how original (not!). Well, when I dress up as a vamp than it at least has to be a bit stylish. I think I'll dress up as VampWillow or Drusilla. My only problem, I don't have any leather pants :(
Well, have a great day everyone!

Happy halloween.

KISMIC-where abouts are you from

The uk doesent seem to go all out for halloween, it might be cos its so close to Guy Forks (i cant spell his name) night

I always used to want to go trick or treating, but my mum never let me, she said that cos i went to a religeous school it wouldnt be correct, years latter she admitted to me it was just cos she didnt want to have to make a costume, hee hee.

We do get some people come to the door, so we just get out last christmases chocolates that some distant aunt gives us, that are manky, and give them out!!!!! oops :blush

anyway, have a happy one everyone.

Well, I was *supposed* to dress up today, but on account of me being MAJORLY sickly. im makin with the comfy clothes today, and just going to go paint faces on the little kids at our elementary school in town.

As for Willow and Tara...on account of an interesting conversation in the live chat....im SO seeing Willow as a really cool female pirate, and Tara as the maiden she saved from some evil man pirate, Arrrrrrrrr!! :D

Well, we're not allowed to dress up at work, especially because the Board of Trustees is visiting, but I got a kick--coming into the building where I work this morning--out of the bright orange signs that students have posted everywhere saying that the Trustees are here to trick (the students) and treat (themselves).

Pretty funny.

As for tonight, well, I'll probably do what I usually do....buy some candy and put it in a bowl and then, at the last minute, panic and turn off the lights and sneak out so I don't have to deal with the possibility that the kids might be rude.

And that, kittens, is enough about me. Happy Halloween!

Well, if you glance in my store in Philadelphia today, you'll see me dressed as the Great Pumpkin. What can I say except Linus was right this year :)

As for what Willow and Tara might dress as...
I'm going with a Shakespeare theme. I can see Willow as Viola from Twelfth Night and Tara as the Titiana.

Okay, I'm dressed in complete Scottish Renessance garb for today. It's kind of cheating as this is what I wear at the Ren Faires but I didn't have money to go out and buy something else.

As for Willow and Tara I think they'd dress up at a duo. Maybe Thelma and Louise or even better, Bonnie and Clyde. Willow would, of course, be Clyde. I think that would be really hot.

I do, however, REALLY like the leather idea... :thud

Not such a Happy Halloween here. My sweetheart returns to Kansas tomorrow to see her family and this is our last time together today for 2 months. Lots of crying going on today, that's for sure. We haven't been apart for 6 years! But when she returns Dec 31st we can start building a future together, so if there is any magic floating in the air tonight I aim on catching it and saving it for the end of the year when my sweetie returns to my side.
Tonight we're going to watch on tv a "Most Haunted" special, where they are up at a local castle, Dudley, seeing what ghosts are there. Seeing as it's known mostly for being a zoo, we might get the spirits of penguins popping in! But hopefully, no hyena's to possess people!

Well, the fireworks started about 2 weeks ago in Dublin, the bonfires last night (as far as I can see...) I remember last year was quite scary that way. The fires were quite high and all over the place...

Organised a Halloween party about 4 years ago. Addams family theme. My best friend (whom I had a huge crush on) was Morticia. I was Gomez... Thank God I had short hair at the time. First and last drag appearance I ever made. But it was good. We had taken pictures of the whole "family" the week before... So funny. Loved our "wedding" pictures... :drool
She got married a few weeks ago... *sigh*

Hmmm....and I have to follow Julia with this post.

It seems I am allways posting these.

Run-DMC DJ, Jam Master Jay was shot and killed last night in a recording studio in Queens.

I don't know if anyone really follows rap but Run DMC have been called the Beatles of rap. They were not involved in the whole East coast vs. West coast thing and nearly everyone that knew them talked about how down to earth they all were.

So I think I'll put on my (well worn) copy of "Raising Hell".

Well, I am not dressing up but I get to help dress up about 14 boys I work with. It should be fun painting them to reflect their inner demons.(That probably wasn't nice of me since I work at a Psych. hospital) :laugh Oh well, they can be demons sometimes so I refuse to feel guilty about my statement. :p
As far as what I think Willow and Tara would be...hmmm....I have to give that one more thought. However, the whole leather bondage thing would be my choice for them. Yep Yep Yep!

Well, my gf and I got our stuff ready..
I dyed her hair a nice blue-black (which isn't much but she likes it..it's been her permanent choice of color for her hair) doing the silver streaks and spike it up, add some fangs, ball chains, black corduroy pants, soem extra stuff, and ya got your cute little vamp-raver...me? I'm kinda doing the BMW theme but not so extreme...got the black contacts but not the sclera (that covers the whole eye) just them Hellraiser types...

ok, I can see Willow doing Peter Pan and Tara being Tinkerbell (I don't know, just a thought) or, Willow being her vamp self and Tara being her *ahem* slave in leather with dog collar and all... (I think I like that image...)

I'm so boring. I have a glow in the dark halloween t-shirt. I used to love Halloween.

As for W/T, I think it's funny that a lot of the fan fics that I've read lately have them dressing up in leather for Halloween. I think for the writers it's more of a case of wishful thinking though ;)

I SO miss the Boingo Halloween concerts.
