Unfortunately we seem to have lost the old thread. I know there are some out there who have tabs for the musical and other Buffy things. So please share with the kitties

Thank you, thank you!!!

I've been looking for something like that for months!

Of course, stupid me, I forgot to ask the kittens! If we can't get the info here, it's because it doesn't exist!

Edited to add: I just found Michelle Branch's "Goodbye to You" on this site too!

I would like to see your version of "Goodbye to You", Hanki.

Does anybody have tabs for "I can't take my eyes off you"?

RE: the Buffy's Domain of Delight versions of songs.

Interesting how the transcription of just the lyrics for "Under Your Spell" have the correct last verse line of "surging like the sea, *pulled* to you so helplessly", while the chord transcription has the incorrect (but often quoted) lyric of "*wanting* you so helplessly".

Very interesting indeed...

wiccie, I privately doubted you on this, but after I went back and listened to it again I found that you are so right! Weird that I guess I always filled in the line from the transcript I read when listening to it. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sheila, a good version of Goodbye to You can be found at www.tabcrawler.com. That's the one I use to play along.

Also, I found good tabs of OMWF at www.studiesinwords.de (psyche's site)

Stefanie, I just checked under Michelle Branch and I couldn't find it either. Sorry about that, but I SWEAR that's where I found the print out I'm holding. Weird. I have the file at home. Send me an email and I will forward it tonight when I get home.

Hanki: Thank you. Take your time, please. No need to hurry.

Dr. Strangeduck: Thanks a lot for the websites! Found good stuff there.

Now, looking for keyboard versions... we're never happy, are we?

Is it just me, or are those OMWF tabs all right-click disabled, so you can't copy them? Here's a site which has the tabs in a removable format.

If I can get permission from the author, then I'm going to put the tabs on my site with the chord fingerings and a couple of minor corrections ('Rest in Peace' is mostly power chords, for example, not all major chords ).

Until I felt your hand touching mine,
I was drawn to you the moment that we met,
The first time you looked at me my heart lept,
I'd hidden myself away too afraid to be me,
But touching you made me feel so real,
Now I know you inside out,
I know just what this worlds about:
You and me eternally</i>

I sooo wish I could play guitar now...
I've always been a rockstar kinda gal so I bought a brand new Ibanez 2 years ago so that I could actually play the songs I write but as of yet I still haven't taken the time to learn..

------------------
Giles: Come down, and we will go about fixing this in a sensible fashion!
Anya: Sensible! You think it's sensible for me to go down into that pit of cotton-top hell, and let them hippity-hop all over my vulnerable flesh?
Giles: Fine, then just stay up there and keep making bunnies! That's a capital plan!
Anya: What capital? I never know what you're talking about. Loo, shag, brolly, what the hell is all that?
Giles: What? There's no way that you could remember me saying any of those words.
Anya: Oh, bugger off, you brolly.

Yup I'm glad someone else caught that too. Oh, and another heads up for all the musicians: the verses of "Under Your Spell" sound better using barre chords instead of the normal open ones. But I'm sure the guitar experts here knew that already.

Heh, no experts at my place. On that song, I play a mix on them. I play the first D open and the A open, then barre the c# and G. For this song, I also highly recommend a chorus pedal for those with electricity. It adds so much richness to the sound.

PS, Stef, check your mail.

cool... i love playing the guitar. unfortunately, the only songs i can play are Wonderful Tonight and Layla - by eric clapton.

there are other songs that i can almost play... but they're all by clapton too... i'm sensing a limit to my talent... lol.

i might give these a go though... a few buffy songs to increase my playlist. lol.

Wow u r the first person to actually post to me(well sort of)!! Everyone seems to ignore me, maybe cos im a newbie and exlurker( dont worry i am getting professional help).:grin

"My darling you look wonderful tonight" I love to hear you play it!!Dont worry, i pretty much lack lots in the talent department

Everyone must join me in my :willow and :tara guitar tribute band. I must now go and search for an oboe player and a person who is talented with the kazuu.

So long m and Boris(my fender strat) are leaving on a hunt for talent.

I have a question for anyone else who has learned these songs. Does anyone have a recommendation for how to play the second chord (F#dim) in Standing in the Way? I can't make up my mind on which one to use. I sure do hope that when they finally get around to releasing the CD for OMWF that we get a song book, too (like for Josie and the Pussycats).

Bicola, will a saxophone do?

And a giraffe with and organ( of the musical variety of course)

My tab just said F#, which explains why the I kept singing off-key at the start! ;) x x 1 2 1 2 is how I'd play F#dim. Still doesn't sound right to me, though!

I suspect that the F#dim should be played as a barre chord on the second fret, given the passing-tone nature of the chord. So far, I've just been barring the second fret and moving on to the next chord as quickly as possible. It doesn't sound *terrible*, but it ain't right either.

Anybody know an Ebdim9? :grin

At the second fret like 2 3 4 2 4 2 ? *Picks up guitar * Hmm, that is kinda dischordant, plus very hard! You know, I don't think that chord's diminished at all. I think it's F#maj and they just put that diminished in to throw us off. ;)

Does Ebdim9 even exist?

Bicola, is it possible to be talented at the kazoo? I can play harmonica and a bit of piano, if that's any help. ;)

I'm not sure that I buy that it's diminished either, but I also don't quite think it's major. I'll mess around with it some more when I get home tonight.

You know, I don't think the elusive Ebdim9 does exist. Oz believed in it, but I'm not finding it on any chord dictionaries. Ooh!! I just thought of someone I can ask. I'll let you know if I find it.

OT: UHS, I like your icon, did you draw that?

ugh, I'm having the same problem with that chord, which sucks, because it's oneof my favorite songs to play from the musical. I do the same thing as you, just switch to the next chord as soon as possible but it never sounds completely right.
