Ooh, now, [b:f7da076e87] Mollyig[/b:f7da076e87], is it "colours" or "colors"? Kind of like is it "tire" or "tyre"?

I have a feeling I know how everyone will vote. :wink

Oh, and Ruth...I keep saying "oi," but it's not really working. Where am I going wrong?

See, you need to point at your honey and say "Oi, get yer kit off now!"

Always works for me. Ahem.

No Julia, that was your fetid imagination once more.

Honestly, go play with your "toys" for a while. Again, that does the trick for me.

We get U.S. major league baseball on TV sometimes over here in Britain, on Channel 5, and I've recently gotten into it. It's a very peaceful, relaxing sort of thing to watch. Alas though, since it's live, it tends to start at about 1am, so I usually fall asleep before it's over.

And we don't get every game, because the baseball often conflicts with Channel 5's late-night porn schedule, and guess which they'd rather show? :)

Still, we have been promised every game of the World Series, so I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, that new British porn I picked up last week does the trick for me, too. ;)

British chicks and their accents. And their tennis outfits. Does the fun ever end?

This is me realizing entirely too late that we're talking about baseball. Oops. Well, I guess that proves I know nothing about sports.

Then again, what are they doing playing ball in the middle of October? It's cold, dammit. But I guess the Cubs don't have to worry about it anyway. :)

Happy B-Day Tulipp! Here's hoping you have many more!

My favorite Series moment is still from the great Reds-Red Sox 1975 clash. I remember Pete Rose getting a clutch single in the last game helping set up the victory for Cincinati and allowing me to razz my brother the Red Sox fan for a whole winter! :)

I tend to think Willow and Tara wouldn't be into baseball, but if they were I am inclined to think they would root for the Angels, the underdogs, even though they might identify with San Fran more. Since Erstead used to be a Cornhusker's punter I'll have to root for the Angels myself. I hope it is a nice long series of 6-7 games though. Anything to interfer with as many Firefly showings as possible. Sorry, the bitterness still leaks out!

By most accounts, the Giants are the underdogs.

The betting line is thus:

World Series
FAVORITE LINE UNDERDOG LINE
at Anaheim -125 San Francisco +115
Odds to Win Series
Anaheim -130 San Francisco +110

Also, so far most media analysts are picking the Angels to win.

Really, well color me surprised. I would think that the Giants have at least a little more playoff experience. Still, that is a pretty close margin, but then I haven't been paying as much attention to the media analysis of the series. Maybe W/T would be on the side of the Giants, but with a team name like Angels, I still gotta go with that. All I ask is that the series not end in 4 or 5. After last year's wonderful epic battle with the hated Yankees losing (Hoody Hoo!) I hope this year's is just as good.

Tulipp I just wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday :bounce ! As for the World Series I was rooting for both the Giants and Angels, and now I don't know who to root for. I am just looking forward to hopefully a well-played, competitive series!

As for W&T I could see Willow rooting for the Giants, with her wanting to see Bonds hitting a home-run (and yelling/booing when the other team walks him intentionally). On the other hand, Tara would probably see the Angels as the under-dog (with all their past failures/history), and be a big Angels supporter.

Well, I will probably never forget the 1991 World Series. It was the Braves vs. the Twins, the Braves first shot out of many in the 90's to win a World Series. Anyway, 3 out of the 7 games went into extra innings, including game 7, in which we(Braves) lost in the bottom of the 10th. It was really an exciting series. Or, I could say the 95 series in which we actually won.

Happy Birthday [b:d9f6d10492] Tulipp[/b:d9f6d10492]!

Thousands attend overnight Bali vigil

Four days after the Bali attack the Australian death toll stands at 30 with another 150 still unaccounted for.

As the search for the missing continues, the search for answers has also intensified.

Indonesian police have questioned two men about the nightclub bombings, but neither has been arrested.

Carrying floral tributes and singing hymns, 2000 people, including most of Bali's tourism industry, took part in the march to one of Kuta's Hindu monuments.

With the flow of visitors to the island now stemmed, their own lives and livelihoods are under a cloud.

But they want Australians to be in no doubt where their sympathies lie.

"We want to show our condolences and sympathy to all of the families of the tourists who have been destroyed by this bomb explosion," said one Balinese local.

Before heading to Jakarta for talks with Indonesian leaders, Foreign Minister Alexander Downer visited Bali's Sangla hospital.

He again vowed government support for families affected by the attack acknowledging that it's a difficult time for them.

"[Its] a time of grieving [and] we're just trying to assist them in every way we possibly can," he said.

As the clean-up continues, the first clues are emerging from the devastation.

Australian, American and British forensic experts have joined the search, finding metal fragments that could help them determine the design of the car bomb.

It is crucial evidence.

"Based on this evidence we're counting on the team to determine more about the bomb and we hope that may lead us to those responsible," said the Balinese police chief.

The Balinese police are under intense international pressure to trace the culprits.

But in the meantime, the speaker of Indonesia's parliament has refused to endorse the Defence Minister's view that al-Qaeda is linked to the bombing.

"I myself do not want to pinpoint right now, you know, because we have to work hard first to arrest the people involved, the perpetrators, the culprits," said Amien Rais.

No, Enid. She left them on my lap-of-nun-inhabiting schoolgirl's luscious ass. ;)

And Ruf, we gotta find some fun for you. Enid, we need to get this Holly chick's number for Ruth. Hee. Think we could get her to show up on doorstep-of-Ruth in that tennis uniform? And think we could both see into Ruth's room from the rooftop of the house nextdoor?

Come to think of it, think Em would let us borrow that mirror?
