I love having breasts and idiot men behind the off licence counter, makes it far to simple for me as a 16 year old to buy alchol the same goes for bouncers!

My drinking stories i have far too many too share (im a teenager from northern england!) though they all end up the same way me and some random boy, i really need to stop doing that!

I teach in a high school, and today at work one of the secretaries came over the intercom and said, "Amber Benson, please report to the office." (Twice) It was enough to make me smile for the rest of the afternoon. I even almost ran to the office to see who this student was, but the thought of Amber herself was plenty for me. :bounce

Oh God...drinking stories. all mine tend to be disasters. Not being able to handle vast amounts of alchohol very well, I always end up sick, even before I get legless, so I remember the shame of it all.

The last time I was really bad, I downed a bottle of rather expensive wine, told all and sundry it was cheap plonk, realised what had just happened, went outside to barf, fell over into 6 inches of cow sh**[I live in the deep country], passed out, and then woke up several hours later, frozen to said cow sh** [it was february], staggered home, removed all my clothing on the doorstep, and went to bed for 3 days.
All the above was meticulously pieced together by my then g/f thru talking to various people at the party, relatives, neighbours and the North Wales Constabulary who kindly drove me the 10 miles to my house in the back of their van.
Needless to say, the relationship ended soon after, but I've not been drunk since. Honest.

Picture the scene; I'm sixteen. I'm a happy young thing, and my parents are away. My sister is going out for the evening and I decide to have a party at my house.

A few friends turn up early with a bottle of Bacardi. Said Bacardi is then drunk pretty swiftly.

By the time the rest of my friends arrived, I burst into tears when they handed me my birthday present (the set of Anne of Green Gables books); flung myself at my ex boyfriend and wondered why it felt "wrong" when he snogged me; ended up puking into the toilet and being put to bed by my friends.

Ah, the memories.

Thankfully I haven't ever gotten really drunk and never intend to. I've gotten tipsy on a few occassions. I'm not much of a drinker, but do enjoy an occassional sip of the bubbly.

My first tipsy experience was at the age of 8, My aunt (who just married my uncle), her family brought me chocolates (alcohol in them) from the Philipi...(spelling?). long story short: ate the whole box, tripped on the potted plant on the way out and almost down the stairs.

My next time was much later in my life. Recently, I got really tipsy and slid down a banister at a fancy Italian resteraunt out side. My family loved it, never seeing me like that

I tend to fear getting drunk, because I know I'm the type that would jump on a table; take my clothes off; and dance. Probably making out with everyone in the place. Plus I hate puking :puke

honestly, I haven't had a drink in about 5 years!! I realised I was only drinking 'cos everyone else was, and if I thought about it, I didn't actually like the taste of alcohol.

but, I think the most memorable incident was the morning after my 19th birthday. I'd gone out on my birthday, got drunk, and stupidly made plans to go out shopping the next morning. I was feeling a bit seedy, almost threw up on the escalators in a department store. So I figured I'd go catch a bus back to the university, and the safety of my hostel room. On the way to the bus stop, we stopped at the crossing amongst all the saturday morning shoppers, and I think I must have been looking a little bit green at this stage.

To cut a long story short, the man in front of me was kinda familiar, and he turned and said hello - it was my high school bio teacher from the previous year (i was one of his "favourites"), I didn't really have time to answer before I lost my balance and ended up falling in the gutter :thud

To this day, I still wonder if he went back to school on Monday and told the rest of the staff and destroyed my squeaky clean reputation in my hometown (I was quite well known in the school due to an unfortunate incident involving a dark room and a good friend - when I discovered teachers were worse gossips than students)

On my 21st birthday I whent to a dry frat party with my best friend who is a Tri Delta. We drank fifty dollars worth of liquor her room mate had bought before I was offically 21, and ended up almost having a threesome with her and her boy toy.

Ok, lets see. 14 yrs old. party at a friend's. 2 bottles of boones and *counts fingers* some beer. comfortor in the bathtub. woke up w/ guy friend of mine underneath the couch cushions.

Another time. group of friends. park. ran around topless for a while because it made us feel "free".

Apparently I didn't drink enough, seeing as I can still remember bits and pieces of these incidents.

Yeah, Emma barely touches a drop. See my sarcastic face here. Her "barely drinking" includes forcing her friends to do jelly shots that are vile and should be banned purely on the grounds of taste.

And Brian, yes, I'm a true romantic at heart. Hard to believe I'm still single isn't it? :rolleyes

Well, I don't drink that much anymore because 1) I get sick too easily the night I drink, 2) I get hangovers way too easily. I used to be able to drink a friggin ocean of alcohol and be fine and not get sick, but then my body decided that that wasn't very good for me and made me start getting sick. So now I just smoke pot. It's better for you than alcohol. Really it is. :shy

So I have a couple funny drunk stories. One, when I was in China for spring break a couple years ago, I was drinking tequila and beer with a few guys in the group I was traveling with and we decided to go to a hostess bar (a bar with women who are paid to flirt and dance with the men to get them to buy more drinks). One of the guys I was with kept buying me beer and I thoroughly scared the poor hostesses because I don't think they'd ever had a lesbian at their bar before. At some point at the bar, I blacked out and only remember leaving and getting back to the hotel, after which I blacked out again. Apparently at the bar I was dancing with this guy who kept buying me beer and told him that he was going to get lucky that night!! Back at the hotel, according to my roomate, I got ready for bed with no problems, but then in the middle of the night I woke her up telling her that it was time to go, that we were late (but it was only 5am) and started to try to pack my suitcase (we were taking a plane from Beijing to Xi'an the next day) and decided that I needed to pack my water bottle. Which was opened. So I wake up the next morning, not remembering any of this, and wonder why everything in my suitcase is all wet. Plus I was crazy hungover. For the plane ride. But actually, after a nap on the plane, and lunch, I felt 100% better.

I drink so rarely now, though, that my tolerance is practically zero. I can drink one glass of wine at dinner and be slightly tipsy already.

HEY! They were culinary delights, they were. And in any case, who cares what they taste like, it's the alcohol content that counts. :grin

Okay, I'm having a cultural divide moment on this one. Even though I [b:f8fc3bf61d] know[/b:f8fc3bf61d] that you English gals say "jelly" when we Americans say "jello," and even though I know that you say "jam" when we say "jelly" (although we also say "jam" sometimes, and it's not always clear when something is "jam" and when it is "jelly"), but I digress....

I just can't get my mind around "jelly shots." I have this image of a quivering cupful of grape jelly (like you put on toast) with schnapps in it or something.

Ew.

[b:84649b52ca] Tulipp[/b:84649b52ca], to use terms you will understand - it's a quivering shot glassful of "jello" made with vodka.

Personally, I thought it was lovely :)

Tulipp, I think the difference between Jam and Jelly is kind of like..Jam I see it is preserves, with more seeds, and Jelly is like..Welsh's Jelly..Y'know?

Has anyone ever had the grape jello shots? They taste a lot like dimetap...

And y'know, those jelly shots were just vile. I've been a student; I've drunk some shit in my time but those...those were just...ick.

However, hey, it was free alcohol so there you go.

OK, so last night I was out in the backwoods of Alabama, of all things, shotgunning cans of Budweiser like there was no tomorrow (today).

I didn't do much of anything stupid, except [b:7b0a557f79] hang out in backwoods Alabama, shotgunning cans of Budweiser.[/b:7b0a557f79]

Now I just feel ... dirty. Like some kind of Alabama redneck. And to top it off, the nearby boiled peanut stand was closed. Bastards. They don't need to sleep, they just need to boil peanuts 24 hours a day.
