Everyone please note that SMG's interview with Howard Stern will be broadcast on the E! televised version of his radio show on THURSDAY, JUNE 20, at 11P.M. EST.

I wonder if he'll make fun of her last name to her face like he does when she's not there?

Nope, not really... Can't say I'm surprised... I met Jennifer Blanc (actress who played Kendra in Dark Angel) once, and when fans asked her what her best (working) experience was, actor she liked acting with the most, she told us "Shannon Doherty". They were working on this movie (Friends til the end: tuesday on a Belgian channel) and Jen was bugged by her obnoxious boyfriend... Anyway, needless to say, Shannon scared him off the set for her, so they could work in peace. Ok, so this does only establish her bitch-level. But get this: Jen's dog(s) was/were sick, so Shannon took the car and drove 'm to the vet, taking care of them all day, which is kinda sweet. I always thought animal-lovers had a hint of a good character... Ah well, I don't know Shannon personally and she might be a difficult person professionally and/or real life. The trick is you can't really verify it... The press can be so confusing sometimes... Well, at least we know Amber's a sweetheart from various kittens eye witnesses reports ;)

Well, I watched the Stern interview last night. Herewith some observations--

1. He kept pronouncing her name as Gell[i:072ea4f40f] ar[/i:072ea4f40f], and she did [b:072ea4f40f] not[/b:072ea4f40f] correct him. Could it be that, indeed, everyone has been getting it wrong for all these years? Or was she just "letting it slide", since I have heard her pronounce it as [i:072ea4f40f] Gell[/i:072ea4f40f]ar in various venues? Anyway, she reiterated that she would keep "SMG" as her professional name but call herself "Prinze" after her marriage "in private".

2. Howard always tries to get celebrities to talk about money. Sarah stated that she did [i:072ea4f40f] not[/i:072ea4f40f] have points on "Scooby Doo" ("I'm not big enough for that") and that FPjr is more "bankable" as a movie star than she is (Why?????). She would neither confirm nor deny that she earns "between $80,000 and $100,000 per episode" on BtVS, but confirmed that she doesn't earn "Friends-type" money.

3. She said she was only 17 when she started work on "Buffy" (How? If it's been on for 6 seasons, and she is currently 25, wouldn't she have been 19??)

4. She responded positively when Howard (typically;) ) asked if she was "shaved all over".

5. Regarding future seasons, she stated that she always feels by the middle of each season that she "couldn't possibly do this anymore" (she called the work "gruelling 17/18-hour days"), but that by the end of each season she is "all fired up for the next one". I wonder if she'll feel that way after season 7?

Yeah, I watch most of this. What really struck me was that no matter how many times she was asked about her fiancee's net worth, her reply was always "priceless."

Awwwwww.

Okay, having lived in NYC the story about a rent-controlled apartment she had to give up got to me too.

Has a short article on SMG talking about her friendship with gay director Adam Shankman (who choreographed the Buffy musical). In it [i:d47b97ef8b] Buffy[/i:d47b97ef8b] is called "gay-popular".

Yeah. Used to be.

This was taken from one of her Scooby Doo interviews:

Sarah, is it true Britney Spears will have some episodes of Buffy next season?

SMG: No, not true at all. It's really funny because somebody gave me a bunch of internet rumors the other day and I found myself, every one was no, not true, never happened, nope. Unfortunately, it's hard to govern certain aspects of the Internet and so once something is put out there, it's often taken as fact without being fact. It's hard to discern between the truth and the fiction of fans from the others. Our Internet fans, our true fans that have been on the Internet and on the website and helped create all that, that kept our show on the air. We are so grateful to them and part of that I think is what makes our show cool. We love the fact that we're like the underdogs. At least I do. I shouldn't talk for the producers because they disagree with me fully on the awards topic but I love the fact that we never win the awards. I think it's great that we're critically acclaimed and the audience loves our show. We do our show for the audience and the people that watch the show, not for a voting panel of people we've never met. We're honored by that aspect of it.

Sadly, I would place all three aspects of this in the past tense. Not so critically acclaimed these days, the audience is shrinking, and the writers seem to have written this past season so as to piss off/disappoint/depress pretty much every single segment of their audience.

Brittney will be the Traci Lords of the 21st Century. (isn't Traci Lords the Traci Lords of the 21st century?)

No, not the underage porn, but having her on a show ensure's it's demise. I am sort of sad that she wont be there now.

I mean putting Britney Spears or even Traci Lords on the show is admitting that they are officially out of ideas.

One of those wacky German sites has some clips up from the Saturn awards and one is like a 2 second clip of Joss saying "Britney is going to be on Buffy" - now this might be manipulated to cut out "when hell freezes over" off the end of it or someone is lying.

Just an additional note, it was reported in the Daily Express today that SMG & FPJ have married in Las Vegas, it was quiet, quick and very private - apparently. I haven't seen any other reports.

Salon have a review of SMG's long-lost flick 'Harvard Man', which means that it must have been released somewhere in the universe. Possibly in Kazakhstan.

It opens today on 12th St. in NYC, and I read in the paper that the director is speaking after the first evening show.

The Salon article pretty much snuffed out any curious desire I had to see it.

And--Joey Lauren Adams as a Harvard philosophy prof? *snigger* She was more believable as a lesbian.

HARVARD MAN has already come out on DVD in France, complete with an alternate opening credit sequence that provides a more explicit view of SMG's lovemaking than you'll see in the R-rated American cut.

Again SMG interviewed in 'Esquire' is empathic no Britney, which once I would have seen as a good thing. OH and having her on wouldn't have been a kiss of death, she appeared on 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' and that's rolled on for three more seasons.

/chuckle/ Now that you mention it, Webwarlock. Traci Lords was in a Hercules-ep, playing "Cupcake" (snigger), opposite Bruce Cambell, a.k.a. Autolycus (Evil Dead days, where are you ?). Ep near the end of the final season: nuff said.

As for Britney: indeed, that would have been the ultimat sign of the show's demise... Though I have to admit, I would have dragged myself to the remote control to tune in to see Buff slay Britney in a bloody way... Now that would have been a catfight... Then again: more boy-ratings... Argh, what am I typing... See, the indoctrination has already started. Slay Spike ! Saw the ep today where B thrives a sword through Angel, just after he's got his soul back. Now that was gutsy ! The Buffy we all knew. "With great power comes great responsibility." (Spiderman)
