Yep, I do understand time travelling is a complicated matter, Penrose. I mean: life is such a peculiar thing. Some people believe in Fate, that it's somehow already written in the stars, others believe we make our own destiny, some think the truth lies in a bit of both. If you take into account one event sets into motion a whole string of others, and if you alter that event the outcome of the continuation might be entirely different, it's difficult to tamper with these things. Almost every fantasy/sci-fi series comes across it, though.
I'm recalling the Xena-ep "Remember nothing": where Xe goes back into time to find out how the world would look when she would never have turned into a warrior princess: turns out her younger brother Lyceus is still alive, but instead her mother is dead. She also meets Gabrielle, who isn't her optimistic babbling bard anymore...
Anyway, all things considered, with the gloomy outlook we have now, I wouldn't mind changing in this timeline for another, as long as Tara's alive. Sure, someone else might die, get shot in the back, say Xander
