I am so happy that W&T won best couple, but how Spuffy won best kiss is beyond me. And I am so glad Amber/Tara won for best supporting actress this was much deserved.

I know that the SC has at least a good relationship with ME.

Glad to see the girls won the awards they did. They should have had Best Kiss and Most Missed Character.

Oddly, I'm glad our girls didn't sweep the categories b/c if they did I think somehow people would have blamed the kittens or at least discounted the results. But the fact that Spuffy actually won best kiss shows more non-kittens voted than kittens and that suggests that a significant portion of non-kittens voted for W/T as best couple, and for AH and AB in their respective categories. And that's pretty cool.

I can't believe that 'Under Your Spell' wasn't fav song. Cmon! The women, the voice, the tune, the sex. What more do you need?

But I'm very happy about most of the other winners, especially best couple. Confirms what we knew all along - but it's always nice to see it in print. And they really picked a great photo for best couple. Yummy!

LOL I have seen a few posts on other boards claiming that the vote was rigged by W/Ters. Considering Kitty & Candy are basically saying that some people tried to rig it and their votes have been discounted, it pretty much disproves any cheating.

So W/T rocked the vote. Best Kiss would have been nice, but Best Couple is far better. Aly & Amber both winning their respective catagories, add it all together and you are looking at what the majority of the voters/audience want to see.

ME should wake up.

kate, the fact that W/T DIDN'T sweep all their categories supports the contention that there was no vote-rigging. I thnk relativegirl is absolutely right on that point.

Frankly, it's heartening to see that other BtVS fans loved W/T so much. It's that many more people that ME has screwed, not just we W/T shippers.

And I thought I had given up all my bitterness.

And if the Kittnes had rigged the vote JW would not have gotten best writer. No it just shows that more people appreciated W/T than ME would like to admit. If anyone had a motive to rig the vote then it would have been ME.

Dave, yes the claims for W/T actually being the highest shipped couple are very believable but difficult to prove. Without wanting to piss off any other shippers, B/S, B/A and possibly C/A are the only other ships which get the kind of devotion and active support that W/T do and these ships by their nature divide fans.

Didn't W/T increase the female audience demographic or something like that? Plus, where is the merchandise? There really is very little. I know ME say they don't want to cash in, but I don't believe that for a second. There isn't even that much of Willow here in the UK and she has been the most popular character for years. Sorry this is wildly O/T! I will stop now.

The only W/T merchandise I've seen is a the t-shirt, and even there they are standing back to back! All the other couply t-shirts have them embracing, even the B/S one is like that.

The comic was extremely successful. I wonder if we could get some numbers, but that comic was I think more successful than their other one shots.

So am I correct in saying that the overall feeling about the GFA outcome is a positive one? 'Cause as a W/T fan I think that the awards say allot about how much they meant to the show! Aly and Amber got some of the most important awards, both seperatly and together (I still think red-head Willow should have won best hair). I can say, and it's just my little point of view, that I think W/T are undeniably one of the best things ever to happen to BTVS! So there.

I have no complaints.

Sure I would have loved to see W/T sweep the awards, but then people would say that the Kittens were stuffing the ballot boxes.

I would have loved to see Tara get most missed, but I can't argue about Giles getting it. I missed him too.

Willow and Tara not getting best kiss though was a crime.

So do you present some sort of award to the staff? I mean do they know the outcomes?

The results ere near pefect, enough wins to make the point, not so many that people could claim we rigged the vote. Only the best kiss result was really disappointing. I know ME only give us waht we [b:51f01b7dab] need[/b:51f01b7dab] and not what we [b:51f01b7dab] want[/b:51f01b7dab], but now they can't be in any doubt what we want, and dammit I need Tara back!

Ethan glad to see you are a big W&T fan. For me overall I am quite happy with the results of the voting, but I too think Spuffy winning over W&T (for best kiss) was just plain wrong. I would also like to know if the results get forwarded to ME (considering the writers do willingly appear on the show) not that ME would admit caring about the results, but its still some validation about how we feel about these characters.

I believe you are associated with the College Radio Station that hosts the show, and not the show itself, correct me if I am wrong.

But off chance do you know when Candy is gonna get those 2nd and 3rd place results up. Cause I too am curious about the travesty of Spuffy winning best kiss and am curious to know the margin of victory.

Of course I could just go holler on the mailing list at the girls to get that stuff up. But it's much more fun to bug you here.

- Tara as best supporting character: aw, we all know how supportive she is... was... whatever, of her sweetie
- W/T as best couple: correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the best couple could exist without the best kisses: it's inherent, only logical: best kisses don't always lead to best couple, but it does vice versa: if the smoochies weren't that good, it would make a lousy couple, don't you think ?

ARGH! I wrote a whole long thing and it didn't post! GRRR!! Anyway, to reiderate myself! First, I have no affiliation with ME, I'm just a SC family member. Second, I'm not sure if the results of the GFAs get sent out to ME, I would think it would be a good idea! Couldn't hurt to let them know what the Buffyverse thinks! Third, I don't think the GFA winners get any sort of award type thing, but I could be wrong! It's really a Candy thing. Aside from voting, I really don't have much of anything to do with the whole process. Lastly, knowing Kitty and Candy I would guess the runner-ups will be on the Succubus Club website fairly soon. There's no real reason for them to delay, I'd just keep checking back in with the site! I think that's it. I'll check backin a few! Take care.

P.S. - I am not, Autumn. I proudly wear my Kittendom on my sleave. I just do it when no one's looking, but it's there!
