I have been wanting to record OMWB, but we haven't performed it in ages. I think it's truly something that every Kitten should be tortured...err honored to hear.

Nah, what we need is the music track from the episode and then we can dub our voices over the top of it. But that would involve seeing one another and being in the same room as...well...me. So y'know, maybe not. ;)

I got my CD of this in the mail today from Rounder, of note included in the packaging is a mini-poster in the same style as the poster they made for the thing, but this one includes a picture of Amber as well in the same stylized way of the others - but frankly I think she and Tony Head look the best of the crowd - nice likeness. Additionally, the same picture of her is on the back of the CD. And there's also a full page picture of her in the little CD booklet that comes with it. Joss singles out Amber and James in his notes as having "great pipes" and there are a number of film stock pictures from the volumey text section of Willow and Tara.

well fuck it darn it. w/t pictures.. amber. picture.. grr I can't resist. though of course it begs the question, why couldn't they do that for amber from the beginning, should have been a clue back then. Much like villains credits, kinda upsets me.

Just to be clear with the exception of the mini-poster all the pictures are in the little CD booklet that has the lyrics and credits, etc.

I know yu guys are probably just kidding, but I would buy the OMWB soundtrack in a heartbeat, if you ever decided to make it :) As for the OMWF sondtrack, I'm not going to give Joss Whedon any money for that, no matter how cute the pictures are! My CD of it that a friend made me is very decent quality and I love it and it shall suffice, interspersed with repeated viewings of the musical ep. Of course I am still planning to buy seasons 3-6 and the W/T action figures, so ME will make some dough off of me. But c'mon ... I need those! I am honsetly trying to boycott most of the stuff though. Anyone who openly lies to me is not someone I'm gonna rush to support.

Having ranted all of that, I wouldn't mind scans of the pics though :)

In case anyone's interested to give their already burnt cd an 'authenticated look' you can download the front and back cover here. Just scroll down to "Buffy" and voila!

I won't be buying the OMWF soundtrack, but can't resist the DVDs and Willow/Tara action figures either. I'll probably burn my own CD eventually.

OK I downloaded the front and got the fright of my life! A hideous picture of Spike and Buffy *shudders*. It's like they chose the worst possible pic for the front! What's [i:3b79cb95b0] wrong[/i:3b79cb95b0] with them...

Then the back downloaded, and the first thing I saw is the beautiful picture of Will and Tara in the magic box :drool *sigh of relief* It almost helped me forget the horror of seeing the B/S picture...

But I still don't get it... as [i:3b79cb95b0] if[/i:3b79cb95b0] the producers wouldn't choose the W/T picture for the front! Sooo much hotter ;)

I just don't know whether to buy it or not. My husband, who wasn't as effected by Tara's death, wants it, and he also wants to watch tonight. I frankly hate not to watch with him since that's one thing we always used to do together, and I'm sure he'll buy the soundtrack. He did say he wouldn't watch for long if it continued as last year. So, I guess I'll have the soundtrack anyway. It'll be worth it for Amber's songs, but I *wi
sh* ME wasn't propheting from it, sigh.

The CD is really good. Ambers voice is so damn good! *tell you something you dont know now* Rounder Records gave me a letter thanking me for ordering this cd which helped make it the most pre-ordered item in rounder records history! Guess a lot of people wanna buy it.

Ambers full song is frigin fantastic! :)

Picked up my copy today on the way to school. Lots of lovely W/T pics inside, makes me happy. I also think the instrumental pieces are really cool. The one from "Hush" reminds me of "Nightmare Before Christmas" for some odd reason. The "Something to Sing About" demo sung by Joss & his wife is really scary though. I heard like 2 notes of it & scrambled for the remote. Other than that one track, its a great CD.

I bought my copy of the cd yesterday and I love it, especially 'Under Your Spell' of course. No need for me to say how great of a voice Amber has cause everyone here already knows.

When I was at the counter paying for it, the lady behind the counter mentioned how she has to get it because she loved that episode. Then a guy who works there got into the conversation and we talked for a few minutes about the show.

I have the mp3 file of the whole OMWF ep. 50 minutes or so,I understad it's pretty rare. All dialogues and and filler stuff included, but its top quality sound. Hey, it's the next best thing to bying the cd, plus it's a total ME rip off! :) *evil smirk*

If you want it, contact me at avitalkeshet@hotmail.com and we'll figure out how I can transfer it to you.

EDITED to add that not exactly tonight though, as I've been banned from my computer and forced to use a public one. Throughout the week would be possible :) .

I just opened mine. Isn't it interesting that there's more photos of Willow & Tara in the booklet than anyone else, even Buffy?

(there are 10 pics of Willow & Tara, plus 5 of Tara & Giles... only 2 pics of Buffy)

At least that. Now, gotta run to listen Under Your Spell... :D

Actually love this cd cause I can finally make out all the parts, when the group sings I can hear everyones part and the music just sounds clearer. Then you have the bonus of the extra Willow and Tara pictures, that's enough for me to have spent $12.99.

Thanks Xita for the mp3's, I could just listen to Amber's singing voice over and over again! She truly has a lovely voice, and though listening to this made me a little sad, I still was able to find the joy I had when I first heard her singing last year! Thanks again :) !

Edited to add have fun kitties seeing Amber today, and bring lots of reports back, so I can live vicariously through you (nope I am not jealous at all, ;) )!

For all those who still manage to enjoy it but don't want to give ME one cent of their money:
Buffyverse.de has the mp3s of the entire soundtrack up.
And the big advantage of downloading is that you can totally ignore the track of :joss singing.

I like to shuffle the CD tracks, but when JW starts singing I [b:97e5ca26a8] lunge[/b:97e5ca26a8] toward the stereo and skip the track. The hubris of that man is amazing. And has anyone else noticed how incredibly self-aggrandizing and [i:97e5ca26a8] unfunny[/i:97e5ca26a8] his liner notes are? I mean, this is not the ME entity. This is just one little, mean-spirited guy being an ass [i:97e5ca26a8] all by himself[/i:97e5ca26a8].

On the brighter side of things, Amber Benson Amber Benson Amber Benson. The soundtrack couldn't exist without her. And did you notice that even [i:97e5ca26a8] Rolling Stone[/i:97e5ca26a8] gave OMWF three stars?

Well this arrived in the post from the US last week and I still haven't even had the heart to unseal the package and check they sent me the right thing...

You see what they did to me Ma?

Really just stopping to say to the UK kitties that I got this for 12.87 including postage (based on the dollar rate I got from Barcalycard) from Amazon.com rather than 15.99 [b:3f6b4f08db]excluding[/b:3f6b4f08db] postage from Amazon.UK.

Not sure where you can get it here otherwise, but if you can wait 10 days then you can save approx 25% with the same company *sigh*
