weird title thread i know, lol. me and my best friend have this weird thing about eating, we eat at the same times (when we're together) and we usually eat the same thing and we always end up joking about force feeding and for some reason today we've been worse than ever hence the thread name

and besides i haven't started a daily thread for aaaaaaaaages

working a question into it: does anybody else have these weird kind of rituals with their friends? and what kind of things do you think willow and tara have to do together?

As for me and my best friend, she eats my french fries. It's an un written rule. Even if she's stuffed from pizza and complains about how full she is, she still eats my fries. Every time.


As for Willow and Tara, I think they shower together. It's faster, y'now, when you live in a house with a teenager, and another girl. Cause well, it insues more snugglie time in the morning, and not as many people fighting for the shower...


that is unless they take too long and have a Slayer pounding on the door...

As for food...well...I have to say I've had various thoughts about food and drink. However, they're all pretty censorable, heh heh. Suffice to say, they involve Boddingtons and cheeseburgers. And I'm really not at liberty to say anymore. The notion of force feeding is in there somewhere though. Ahem.

LOL. Friend rituals - so, so many! My friends like to joke around with each other, and tease. There is this one particular friend, Fry, who hardly ever gets worked up. So our life is spent trying to make her annoyed.

Therefore, I incorporated into our everyday life a Fry fan club - which included an amazing, sooper handshake! Woooh. Now everytime we meet, we have to do the cool handshake thing.

However, it does not annoy Fry. *sigh* I'll think of something.

TSIA - Me and my mates also used to have a wierd funky handshake, it looked like the rap stars do, we got some weird looks sometimes, the worst thing though was when i went to do it to my prospective boss!!!!!!
I got the job anyway.

My best friend and I have such an extensive privet language that at some point we actually sat down and wrote a dictionary for our other friends. We have a little list of banned words to boot. When we sleep over at one anothers place, we have this huge ass rule that were not allowed to talk to one another until weve both had our coffee and he lights a cigarette.

Plus... we always tell each other our dreams. In detail. A lot of detail.

Friendly rituals i've got a few. I have one friend who for some reason whenever we're on the phone one of us taking a bath. Another friend always insists that she doesn't want anything to eat but i always get extra because she always does. my best friend though whenever i'm back home with her we get onion rings no matter what eating healthy kick we're on.

My best friend and I always find characters to represent us in every movie we watch together. We've done it for Chicken Run, Friday the Thirteen Part...um, X?, everything, no matter how random. Of course in Jason X my character died and his made out with a robot, but hey. Traditions, man. My other best friend, who is my girlfriend, and I always tell or read each other stories when we're down. Her favorite story to be read is The Shy Little Kitten, mine is anything by Francesca Lia Block. The stories we tell one another are the best, though, and even if we were fighting two minutes before they always remind me why I love her and make me feel better.

I could see Willow and Tara doing the same story thing as my girlf and I. Plus I could totally see Willow reading The Shy Little Kitten to Tara.

I wish I oculd force feed my gf. She has food poisoning this week, and hasn't been able to eat very much. Or do some of the other things that we like to do.

My gf and I have a strange ritual, if you could call it that. We joke a lot about infidelity. In great detail, as a matter of fact. One of us will just start riffing about some imaginary girlfriend, complete with name, food preferences, weird habits, double-wide trailer, etc., and the other will just play along. We do this in front of our friends, and they are appalled, especially when they don't catch on right away that we're kidding.

My best friend and I often lapse into movie dialogue. If I get contemplative he'll ask me, "Where are you now, Madeleine?" (a line from Vertigo.) Or we'll be having dinner and when we decide to order something really decadent and unhealthy, one of us will say, "We're hitting it for the limit, Baby," (a line from "Double Indemnity." )

Well, I got to meet up with my little nephew this past weekend (he lives far away in Colorado) and whenever we're together a lot of our conversations include snippets from Disney movies. Like he'll start a line and I'll finish it. It's silly but fun. I miss him very much.

Right now I'm sitting here watching 'Halloween' and thinking about how much that theme song gives me the heeby jeebies. And that scene where she looks out the window and he's standing in the yard. Man, that gives me the creeps!

Heh, I have many "quirky" habits with my friends. There is that, like almost everyone has with their friends, we have almost a secret language of normal words that mean something else. If I click at one friend, who hates me clicking at her, I have to do it backwards (kind of 'undo' it). We have 'our spots' in the computer lab that if we don't get kind of wrecks being in their, lol. And you get the idea. I'm thankful at moments like this for words like 'quirky' to use instead of 'sad'

Willow and Tara, hmm well there's always that they have to finish each others *jokes*, just because they are the only two wo understand them and thus making them that more incomprehensible! Yeah I'm gonna go with that.

Weird Kind of Rituals Shopping with my cousin JR will get me arrested sooner or later.
When we go shopping together we will pick out a really stupid item like a Britney Spears T-shirt or a boy band poster of some sort and we will fight for it. He will snatch it from my hand and bitch that he saw it first and then I will take it back and this will go on until we start to shove each other back and forth fighting for it.
(All this between a 19yr.old 6Ft. 265-pound college football player and myself.)

So far we havent got ourselves kicked out of any store even when he would purposely knock stuff off shelves when walking in front of me and then turns around and blames me for it. He usually says stuff like Dammit Patty we are here 5 minutes and youre already breaking shit, god I cant take you anywhere. Then he proceeds to walk away leaving me there to fend for myself. *Bastard* But I Love him still.....

Just a couple of bits that spring to mind right now.

When I was at school my sister and I would do our hair differently everyday but we would make sure we both did the same thing, then we would ring our friends and make sure they did the same too.......got a few good giggles at schoool! Some of the styles were outrageous!

The other little ritual we had was when we walked home, we would walk over the hill and some of us would part ways at the top. Before we left though we would always tell a story, we were supposed to take turns but I seemed to have the most turns......not that I cared my imagination was good then.

Thanks tommo for mentioning Boddingtons it had been ages since I had a pint. I think that drinking 6 pints last night to make up for lost drinking time may have been a bit excessive.

Also as the clocks went back last night, I have an extra hour to enjoy my hangover oh joy!

My nan comes round on sundays, and shes sitting here at the moment and a bloke with a beard just came on the tv, she turned to me and said, I would hate to have to kiss a bloke with a beaver on his face (iam hoping that she ment beard)

I left out the BtVs dialogs. My best friend and I do tons of 'em, all the time, especially in front of other people that haven't the slightst chance of getting it. I have the curse of remembering spoken lines perfectly and he, once shown a video, will remember a song's lyrics for all eternity. We go along quite well like that. Bystanders beware!

And just on the whole - the BtVS worship thing. We've made such a name for ourselvs with it that once the guidance councler called up a classmate's parents to tell them we were "satanists" and thier kid should avoide us at all cost. Would you believe she mistook BtVS for satanism? Boy, does she not get out much or what.

my friend Megan and I seem to create a new ritual everyday. Our latest has centered around a secret handshake, but what makes it so fun is the fact that I have to scream out "SECRET HANDSHAKE" at the top of my lungs. (get it, so it's not really secret. it also involves a dance and the phrase 'ogga booga'). we're in marching band so we scream at each other from across the football field and then go running towards each other like in sappy movies, when they run slow motion across a field.

She and I just have a weird friendship. A few weeks ago we went for the whole day with pretzel rods stuck behind our ears like horns just to see what people would say.
