Hee. Just thought I'd engage in a little thumbing of the ol' nose. Now, now, settle down Gertrude. I said nose. Not hos.

Here it is, a brand new TV season, and I'm still trying to decide what looks watchable. Any ideas? What shows are the Kitties looking forward to?

Edited to say: Heh... No, really! I saw the new thread on the board on this subject. Um. Swear! :blush :party

Well, I've just watched the entire season of "24," and it was great...fast and riveting and lots of sneakiness. So I'm looking forward to that.

Also, I saw a few episodes of "Scrubs" over the summer, and I gotta say, I like it. For once, some television that lets you just sit there and laugh and eat some microwaved popcorn and not give yourself heart and soul to the screen.

Just some plain old funny television.

I got into Gilmore Girls back when everything with season sux came up last spring, so that's where I'll be tonight.

I also got into Alias over the summer. Just seeing Jennfer Garner in a sleeveless top makes me want to run to the gym and get me some arms like that!

Well, [b:a498cfce5d] themagicpixie[/b:a498cfce5d], I didn't love the ending. Actually, I wasn't crazy at all about the last episode of the season, for three major and a bunch of minor reasons. although I don't want to give things away here in case people are planning to rent it. Did you not like it?

But it distracted me from Willow and Tara. And at this point, I'm finding myself pretty unwilling to commit emotionally to any television at all. Pretty sad.

But back to distracting....

It's hard to say what I thought about the end of 24 without giving the ending away!- But let's just say I thought it could & should have had a stronger finale. Great concept for a TV series though, and at least something a bit different.

I am not emotionally investing in any TV any more, either, and I hardly ever watch it any more, to be honest. I won't watch "Buffy" again I think.

Well, my gf wants to know why we have to watch a show that makes me sad when we both love "Grounded For Life," which is on at the same time. So BtVS might finally lose out.

In honor of the new season, I've changed my sig and gone from bitter to...well, still bitter.

I think I'm going to be focusing mostly on watching my Beloved Broncos. Admittedly, I've got a HUGE emotional investment there. But even on the odd occasion when they wind up breaking my heart, it's not like they're actually *trying* to. Plus, I know I can always count on them being back next year.

And hey -- so far this year it's been nothing but Good Times. :party (knock on turf)

Well I have just watched the new S Club 7 series on BBC with my neice, aged 8. It's from Barcelona this year and honestly, seeing the bad acting and truly horrendous hairstyles of pop stars was somewhat comforting. See, you know what you're going to get with S Club. And Rachel's nice eye candy. Heh. Anyway, it gave me some gloriously happy memories of Barcelona, where I spent a truly amazing week with a truly amazing woman. :)

Viva S Club.

Oh yes.

Ooh, S Club 7, I'll have to check that out.

I will watch Gilmore Girls and then Smallville because those shows are just fluffy. And have lots of pretty people to stare vacantly at. It'll be great.

Paris and Chloe are my two favorite WB characters. Woo. Hee.

Edited for TMI, heh.

Because of what happened on Buffy, I am totally turned off of most TV shows. So sad. I just can't muster up the energy. The desire is gone.
The exceptions for me seem to be Everybody Loves Raymond and The Amazing Race. Light and fluffy stuff :) My heart can't take anything else.

I'm really looking forward to the rest of the football season! My Giants had a pretty decent start,:rollin The Jets seem to be a hapless bunch again this year so far :eek Come on Jets!

Whatever your TV pleasures are this season Kittens - Enjoy!

As is typical back to school night is today and as always it seems to coincide with the Buffy premiere. So I won't be home, and as opposed to other years, I really don't care. I am more than happy to miss Buffy.

Ya know, I might have to give Alias a try. I never got into it, to obsessed with Buffy, but I feel a need to expand my viewing horizon. Of course, I'll be watching all the Law and Orders, that's a given, but that Scrubs also, apparently, is funny so I might try that as well.

Yeah HIP, I might just tape the [i:1b84684892] JAG[/i:1b84684892] premiere, because I caught the season-ending cliffhanger last week and now I've got to find out what happens. Plus I still haven't really found a show I like at 9:00 since they cancelled [i:1b84684892] Roswell[/i:1b84684892], so I'll need something else to watch.

Things are very bad in the valleys north of LA today because of what they're calling "the Williams fire" - I guess that's simpler than saying "the Azusa/Glendora/San Dimas/LaVerne/Claremont fire." The fire line is 8 or 9 miles long now, and it's only about 5% contained. Here in Pasadena, several miles away, the sun is tinted this sickly orange color and I have to close my windows because the smell of smoke is everywhere. I haven't seen it this bad since we had that rash of fires all around LA in the fall of 1993.

Stay safe, LA Kittens! :shock And try to have a great day... :shy

Yes Bob things are very bad with the fire. I've never seen it like this. We have complete "cloud" cover but it's really smoke and we aren't really close to the fires. It's really bad we didn't send the kids out to play because as soon as you open the classroom door you can smell the smoke, the smell of things burning. It's really bad.

That doesn't sound good guys; poor you.

On a lighter note, my mum's sink smells. And apparently, chicken don't have nipples. But they do have breasts.

See? This is what happens when you watch Viva S Club.

It's all downhill from here...

Got off work yesterday and saw this huge, thick cloud and when I got home heard exactly where this fire was, moving closer to my friends house. She lives in San Dimas and she could see the flames from her house last night and they seemed to be getting closer. With the weather so hot here and no humidity it's going to be tough to get this under control. Looking up a nice navejo or cherokee rain dance, hopefully my childhood lessons are not forgotten.

we still haven't resolved the Gilmore Girls vs Buffy issue in my household. I've been emailing my partner every positive review of GG that I can find.

I may end up having to dig the extra tv and vcr out of the basement, so that we can tape both!

I hate fire season. And as dry as it has been, our fire season stretches to twelve months out of the year. The firefighters out here do an incredible job, and I hope that they can contain this fire soon.

I usually get home from work at 9:30 or so, so I've always had to tape Buffy. I may tape JAG tonight: Catherine Bell is hot. Or, I may tape GG. But after investing so much emotional energy in BtVS because of the W/T relationship, I can't see myself ever caring that much about a TV show again. Once burned....

Maybe, instead, Tuesday can be my movie night.

They've closed the Angeles National Forest because of the fire. People have been trying to get up there to check on their mountain cabins and vacation homes, and now you need to get a special pass to get in.

The news says there are currently 17 helicopters and 9 airplanes dropping water, but the fire's still out of control. Yikes.

Oh we had a fire around here yesterday as well, looked like it was somewhere in the Santa Cruz mountains.

To answer the question of the day I'll go against all conventions and say that I am looking forward to Buffy tonight (it's like watching a train wreck :) ) Also Friends, Angel (what crap can they do next), Will and Grace and I liked John Doe although having to sit through Firefly is not worth it. At least it is still football season ;)

I caught a bit of [i:031407371e] Studio 2[/i:031407371e], the local public channel's current-affairs program, this evening at 8. Wonderful story about a reformed drug addict.

And now, I'm online. Y'know, other than my Jeopardy! and Whose Line?, I don't watch much TV these days. Hm...

Have a good evening, all!

Kalita, I have to say I love your avatar. The only thing that keeps me remotely interested in BtVS and Angel in season 7 is Faith. When everyone seems to be changed, I don't know how Faith can not be Faith. Gotta love her.
