Little Things That Say "I Love You" Friday

Postby relativegirl » Thu Jun 20, 2002 9:19 pm

It's Friday :) and I think we should end this week on a sweet note, so my question is this: You know how every couple has little things they do for each other that show their love and affection -- little deeds or pet names that even their best friends don't know about b/c they are so little and so private? So what do you think are some of the little things that Willow and Tara do for each other that say "I love you" that nobody in the Scoobie Gang knows about?

For starters, I have it on good authority that whenever Willow takes a shower, Tara sneaks into the bathroom and steals Willow's towel, runs downstairs and puts the towel in the dryer to warm it up and then sneaks it back onto the towel rack just before Willow gets out of the shower so that everytime Willow dries off she's wrapped in a big fluffy towel of Tara-love. :)

Wow, that towel idea is wonderful. I guess you needed to redeem yourself from the head bobbing hilarity in this daily thread. ;)

Bugger. I didn't see this thread and posted in the other one instead. Sorry!

Cute little things...hmm. I think when Willow's particularly stressed over homework and exams, Tara probably gives her a wonderful neck/back rub, which I could sorely do with right now. Ouch.

Tara telling stories to calm Willow down enough to sleep is the loveliest thing ever!

Going greyhound racing tonight. Not my idea. Its my Mother's birthday tomorrow, and this is what she decided she wanted to do, so who am I to object?

Have a great Friday Kitty Kats!

Wow...big fluffy Tara love? :blush I so wish!

And a big huge apology to all of you kittens out there for the accidental posting of a second thread for Friday MKF! Wow...I guess I am more tired than I realized 'cause I didn't see the post by Relativegirl (sorry :blush ) until after I had posted and edited my thready thingy! What can I say? I'm a huge ol' doofus. Bleh to me. Or maybe I just need those glasses after all ! Oh horror and shudder...8o Not that I don't find spectacles on others very cute and adorable but me...I just end up looking rather like Roy Orbison....:puke

And as for little things that say I love you: waking up in the morning and stumbling to the coffee maker cursing myself for not programing the damn thing to brew before I woke up only to discover that my gf ( a life long non-coffee drinker) has not only remembered to prepare the coffee and program the pot to brew...but has set my favorite over-sized mug ( Donald Duck with the caption "Grumpy to the last drop!" ) right next to machine lest I fall on my sleepy ass trying to look for it. :love

Ah that's ok, I see you noticed this thread as well. I'll repost the other posts in this one anyway seeing as they apply to today specifically, otherwise I would have locked and turned it into the weekend thread tomorrow. Oh what am I saying, I feel like reposting. :p

Well today is the Summer Solstice (longest day of the year...first day of summer etc...) for those of us in the northern hemisphere. (Of course, let us not forget it is the Winter Solstice for our fellow kittens in the southern hemisphere! * special hug and kiss to willow witch * :love )

So, as I am sitting here at my computer awaiting the all important USA v. Germany game later this morning,:bounce I can't help but thinking "I wonder how Willow and Tara would be celebrating this day?" Hmmm. Well, of course any self-respecting pagan has plans, so surely they would too.

What do you guys think? How are W/T spending this day? Of course...W/T live in California so, they are celebrating Litha (Summer) rather than Winter solstice.

As for me and mine....hmmm. No plans for a circle or ritual...just an old fashioned beer out by the fire pit (hey, I'm a modern kind of gal!)

Happy Solstice Kittens! Enjoy wherever you are :love

It's actually my sister's birthday today. Happy Birthday sis. Longest day of the year. And everyone here gets to spend it mourning England's defeat in the World Cup. Heh. Silly really. It's only a game. I just felt like it was our year, you know? I guess that's what the Jubilee's done to me. :rolleyes

As for Willow and Tara celebrating a festival like today, I'm all for the sky clad chanting and stuff. Yum. ;)

Well today started as a bad day and has got progresivly worse.
England, well what can i say, iam gutted, but the thought of a towel full of fluffy tara love makes me warm inside. I could really use one now, as i have a cold
Yeah i know the middle of summer (what summer!!!!) and i get a cold.
Things that willow and tara do to say i love you, well, Maybe tara would leave a greeting message on willows laptop so that when she opens it up, i love you flashes on the screen
I like the idea of that.

Hellmouthhottie20, that laptop idea is just too cute! I don't know that I can think of one to top that so I'll just say "hi" and agree with everyone else. It is far too early for me to be creative or do any of this crazy "thinking".

LOL! tabularasa. I had to start wearing glasses in elementary school (picked out by my mother of course) and whenever I go back through my school pictures I realize that as a child I looked disturbing in a vaguely familiar sort of way. . . thanks to you now I finally know! I looked like Roy Orbison! An admittedly effeminate version, but still disturbingly Roy-like. And mom wondered why I never became a cheerleader.

I loved your coffeemaker story too, it gave me a happy. :)

Hee...thanks for the nod Dr G....next time I will be all diligent and open my eyeballs before getting all posty! :grin

:lol relativegirl! I'm thinking the Roy Orbison syndrome is kind of like, you know...avoidable...of course I am giving this far too much thought..but, you know..going to the ever smaller specs also opens one up to the John Lennon stonner thing too (which is admittedly far superior to the Roy Orbison trap).

And, I am sure you no longer suffer from the Roy Orbison childhood trauma....I sense you are a woman of thought & power! (a very sexy combo you know ;) )

Now if my brain would just wake up enough to think of more little ways to say I love you .....hmmm. Must have coffee first. Brb! :lol

I think that Tara would have taken the towel and waited for Willow to come out of the bathroom naked looking for her towel, in which she wold find Tara holding it. Then I believe someone would be called a vixen (not a super bitch) and morning spells would ensue.
Then eventually they would both be in the shower doing more spells.

sigh....

thanks, [b:d2b8d8e3b8] relativegirl[/b:d2b8d8e3b8], this thread is makin' me feel all warm n' fuzzy... :)

i'd guess the little notes, too: willow, who probably gets up before tara so she can be the first one in class, leaving a little mini post-it on the bathroom mirror that says "hi cutie"....tara hiding one that says "love you" on the coaster under willow's coffee mug so she'll find it when she goes for a break during studying....hey! that's why we never saw their courtin' on the show, they were being all sneaky and cute about it! [img:d2b8d8e3b8]http://www.theunholytrinity.org/cracks_smileys/otn/love/kotc.gif[/img:d2b8d8e3b8] [img:d2b8d8e3b8]http://216.40.249.192/mysmilies/contrib/guus/liefde.gif[/img:d2b8d8e3b8]

see? all warm n' fuzzy n' schmoopy-like: [img:d2b8d8e3b8]http://216.40.201.38/otn/love/malelovies.gif[/img:d2b8d8e3b8]

(..kinda like that bath towel after it's been in the dryer, i imagine... ;) )

have a great friday, everyone! [img:d2b8d8e3b8]http://216.40.249.192/mysmilies/otn/love/lovestory.gif[/img:d2b8d8e3b8]

Postby ertsgib » Fri Jun 21, 2002 10:36 am

yay! definitely love the idea of "a big fluffy towel of Tara-love" *sigh* if only i could have one. :)

as for the solstice: sitting around a fire with beer is great way of celebrating :) (seeing as that's what i, do every year i kinda have to say that though :) ) not that i really see willow and tara doing that...well, maybe but i think they'd probably do something more mystical
well, seeing as it's now 9.30 over here and i was up all night for the sunrise, i think i'll leave for bed before my eyes refuse to focus on my screen.
night night all. [runs off to try and find a substitute towel of Tara-love]

I think when either Willow or Tara falls asleep on the couch....the other covers her up with a blanket so she doesn't get cold. :) I think Willow every once in a while will bring flowers home for Tara. Nice, pretty, yummy smelling flowers. :D

There are probably tons of little things they do to say "I love you". That makes me feel all fuzzy inside. ;) :love Ahhh, true love. :drool

:love :willow & :tara :love

Little Things That Say "I Love You" Friday

Postby VampNo12 » Fri Jun 21, 2002 11:09 am

I find Tara an early riser, and Willow a tad grumpy one so I can envision Tara going to the kitchen making a plate full of special pancakes (funny shapes and rounds) with fruits slices and etc, and serving Willow breakfast in bed. Also giving out tummy rubs a must for Tara (especially after Willow eats too much and too fast).

For Willow I can see her playing a game by hiding little notes with each note a clue to another clue until Tara finds her special surprise. Sometimes the surprise will be simple like fresh picked flowers, a written card that tells her how many different ways she loves Tara, and for a naughty surprise she would find Willow naked with only a bow around her neck (which I am sure Tara will greatly indulge in this particular "surprise"). But no matter what the surprise its to convey how much she loves her "baby".

Gardening together can be very romantic. Especially as I would assume Willow hates gardening, but would help out despite the icky things so she can be near Tara. *shrug*
