This is just a piece of the article about season 6:

Meine Wenigkeit fand Season 6 ziemlich gut ( konnten sich Whedon und CO. doch mal richtig austoben), aber die Mehrheit der Fans ( Gott, was fr Weicheier ) fand Season 6 zu hart. Und als man dann auch noch durch einen einzigen Schuss ein ganzes Lesbenboard sich zum Feind machte, mussten selbst der sonst sich von den Fans nicht irritieren lassende Whedon wieder back to the rules gehen.


Some people thought season 6 was quite good (dunno what comes next...something about out-raving whedon and co), but the majority of the fans (god, those soft eggs) thought season 6 was too hard. And if you turn a whole lesbianboard against you with one single shot, even the other fans have to admit, let Whedon return to the rules.


I thought they were hinting at this board.

Interesting.

The author is Lily, she is the webmistress of a couple of German language Buffy related websites. She has posted poster here once, to give us kudos for the Trevor Project and I have spoken with her a couple of times.

The article looks like an opinion piece with some Nielsen numbers thrown in. Basically another piece on how Buffy's swan song is just around the corner.

But her point about the "lesbenboard" really can only mean us. And her point is a good one for any producer/writer, if you piss off an entire fan base maybe you need to go back to what you were doing before hand.

The article is even handed and it comes from the point of view of someone (her not me) that still likes the show, but knows it has had better days.

Of course she thinks that's what they're doing in season 7.

And so season 7 showed a rather friendly (if still not quite alright/healthy?) world of Buffy.

I also think the Lesbenboard must mean us. I mean this is the only place I know that has these radical, raging, "lesbian homophobes"(tm) who aren't afraid to tell Whedon what's the what

"Lesbenboard". Heh heh. I like the sound of that. (On the other hand, when did I become a lesbian? Must have missed the memo.)

This has nothing to do with the aforementioned article, but since tkheaven mentioned "Michelle dress mountain" I had to bring it up. The best part of that site, IMO, is viewing it in English and seeing "Angel" translated as "fishing rod". Makes for some mightly entertaining reading.

You know the funny thing is, until I just read that, it had never occurred to me before. Probably because the pronunciation is so totally different. When I'm reading an article where Angel (the character) is mentioned, I always hear in my head the English word, even if the text is written in German.
The fishing rod would be something like "ahngell" with the ng pronounced as in anger.
