Rane: the way the nomination rules read they can make one nomination per category per show and actors and producers can both nominate with actors nomination taking precident over producers in the same category. so would appear several eps could end up getting noms for different categories?
In any case I'd love to see amber get a supporting nom but I have to wonder who would nominate her over hannigan or MT since both of them are regulars and amber is a guest star
their webpage on "events" says:
"These include behind-the-scenes evenings with the most popular and acclaimed shows currently on the air."
do these idiots really think buffy a show with sinking ratings on a weblet no less that has been universally dissed this year by the few critics who bother to pay it any attention, is popular and acclaimed? I wonder how much FOX/UPN had to "lobby" for this little event? Interesting thing the "star" who has just come out in the media as NOT wanting to move from WB, NOT wanting to do a movie and knowing NOTHING about the cartoon/wanting to voice the cartoon, and NOT at the AFI awards is also NOT at this little gathering. I'd say SMG is making a statement alright.

Academy of Television Arts & Sciences
Activities Committee
Co-chairs:
Conrad Bachmann and Bryan Byrd
Throughout the year, the Television Academy presents activities for members and their guests at the Academy's state-of-the-art Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre. These include behind-the-scenes evenings with the most popular and acclaimed shows currently on the air. For a look at past activities, click here. The Activities Committee also presents workshops and seminars on employment, career and social issues, as well as conferences on emerging technologies and information systems.
All activities are subject to change, check back often for updates. All events and activities are provided by the Academy as a service to our members. No endorsement of a program, or contents therein, should be implied.
RSVPs are only accepted after invitations to an event have been mailed. And we DO NOT accept reservations by phone. You may RSVP by fax, snail mail or e-mail to
activities@emmys.org. Also note that we distribute tickets in excess of theatre capacity -- admission is not guaranteed. Admission to all events are on a first-come, first-served basis. All events will have a no-host parking fee of $2.
Unfortunately, our theatre holds only 600; this allows only 300 members plus one guest to attend. At this time we are considering larger venues for future events that exceed the capacity of our theatre. We are doing our best to accommodate our 11,000 members and hope to rectify this as soon as possible.
