Hi, just wanted to say I love your story! I've spent many many happy hours reading it and was so excited to see you'd updated. Good grief!!! I'm so addicted! Every update feeds my addiction and only makes me crave more, more, more!!! What do the Kittens have to do to keep you writing? I know! What if we take up a collection and pay you enough money to take a week off your job in order to finish the story??? HA!

(You only THINK I'm kidding; the Kittens would probably jump on this idea nearly as fast as we'd jump on a naked Tara covered with chocolate syrup!)

Naked Tara would not have to be covered in chocolate in order for me to jump on her! :D In fact I'm not even sure if she'd have to be naked!!!

And I'm in ... just tell me where to send THE MONEY!

I love how you describe the scenary, but I want to see thqt day that tara is going in a date with morgan, I like morgan, but I hope that gives willow the courage to open up to tara or at least shows tara that she cares more than tara thinks and mahybe keepd tara insame about willow´s new behaviour and of course that party with the invitation to briing willow nd all, maybe another opportunity for tara to spend time with willow and for willow to show how much she cares for her tara.

The last time I posted on this board was November 20, 2006. I checked because I knew it had been too long but I wanted to know for sure. I have come out of hiding to post on a "Neverland" update, of course. I saw that this had been updated at work so I wrote Neverland on my hand to remind me to read it when I got home. I wound up going out to a bar later that night and a friend of mine asked me why I had it written on my hand. I just laughed.

Heather, this was a fabulous update. Thank you so much for coming back and sharing it with us. I will always be very pleasantly surprised and delighted when I see an update to this fic, no matter how long I've been away from this board.

As one, they turn to the soda machine. It flies back into the door like a cannonball. Willow looks at it, at Tara. She doesn't let go of her hand.

Heather,

This story speaks to my soul. Loving someone who you... know... (think you know, anyway) will never love you back the way you want her to. Feeling elation or agony at the slightest gesture, phrase. Captivated by a smile. Torn apart by a sob. Being closeted. Coming Out and all its possible consequences. Listening to the one you love talk about her love... her love that isn't you. Overanalyzing every word, every touch, every Look. Amazing dream sequences, and how the most wonderful dreams can taste like ash when you wake up because you realize that it was all... just a dream.

I feel about this story the way Tara feels about Willow. On the one hand, I know... that this is not my story... that this is not what I can have. But on the other hand, oh, the delight in reading it, and the hope... how can I resist?

I've read through the entirety of Neverland at least five times, and each pass brings me more insight into the story. Neverland never gets old. Keep up the incredible writing.

You updated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Joins the other kittens dancing and throwing confetti into the air.*

And what a lovely update too.

First the dream, which was not only hot (and did I mention HOT) but also had an interesting paralles with the real Tara.
"You read my mind."

"I try," the blonde replied. "With varying degrees of success..."

This seems to foreshadow Tara eventually beginning to clue in (finally) later in the chapter. (My Xander = My Brian/Tara)

Then the frazzled morning, where Willow is late and Tara is trying to juggle art, Buffy, and Willow. You captured it perfectly.

Sorry to bump this and make evryone expect an update. (and as I've said, I can imagine the next few chapters will be true bears to wrtie down.) But I've been going over soem apst chapters and , this may be meaningless to point out but whayt Willow is doing isn't just hanging with Tara, it's an old-fashioned full-on Edwardian-era courtship, albeit a secret one. As willow herself said in similar words, she's trying to estbalish the kind of friendship with Tara that is essentially the equivalent of a romance but without the sexual attraction element. So making a segue into romance theoretically much easier.
Which is logical; given that Willow has now ay of knowing what tara is feeling, Willow "konows" she can't just assume to as soon as she comes out to Tara that an erotic interest will automatically follow. I mean, roomates with no "sex thing between them" even if they fit eahc toher's affinity are common enough. So Willow is trying to improve her odds. She's not just spending time with tara because she wants to.

Hi!
I'm not going to apologise about bumping threads, since it's my sodding birthday and I'll do what I bloody well like! :)
About abstinence: I got my languages mixed up: What I meant was withdrawal symptoms, which is called abstinence in swedish... So hence the confusion, mea culpa...
I'll keep the rest short, as I am sure it can be quite the nightmare to have to respond to 150 feedbacks before you post every bleedin' time... And I don't want to keep you from writing more chapters.
Yadayada brilliant, yadayada great to see you back! yada the suspense is killing me, yada yada still spellbinding in all it's naturalism yadayada something just makes your characters seem very real yadayada pretty please yadayada prevent spontaneous combustion yadayada smootchies?.

So wow, it's been like, over a year since I've come around to well, read up on the fanfiction. Which is, really kinda a long time. Doesn't seem like I missed too much though, which, is both a yay, and a non-yay, since it means i don't have a lot of reading to catch up on, but it also means that there isn't more to read. If that makes any sense. Great updates. I adore this story, which is saying something, since usually I don't like the non-buffyverse type stuff, you know, with the lacking of the hellmouth and all. But, I'll keep this short, since i didn't take notes. Great job thus far and keep it up. And with that I'm off to work!

I don't remember how long its been since I posted in this story thread but I'm too tired to check or do other than what I'm doing at the moment. I just read every single chapter of this story in a day, literally upon waking until about 2 minutes ago. Which also means that at this point I'm almost to begging status for an update because my insatiable appetite for this story means I will most likely read the whole thing through again tomorrow. And I'm half dying for more. So yes, I love it, as you could guess. I'm hoping you won't mind as I use some of the painting references in the story to help my own horrible painting skills. I like the way you describe it and kinda use it to help my own technique. Either way its late and I'm a little fuzzy as to exactly what I'm talking about. I love your story. I'll quit rambling now.

writerfreak :flower

P.S. I love the way you describe Tara's paintings in the story, I honestly wish I could buy like 3 of them. Confusing, Fillmore, and the Flame/Frost one. Yeah I think they would be great.

No matter how busy I am, I alway make time to read one of your updates. This last update is a perfect example of why.

My mind is a total mess. I loved so many parts that I can't even explain which ones. Just know that I really get it.

I loved the part when Tara was analyzing "My Xander". I have to say that I have done that too a couple of times and it really just drives you crazy. I kinda laughed at that part because I remembered feeling the same way. That is probably why so many people love this story. Everyone can relate to it one way or another.

Great update.

You know, even though I KNOW it's probably not an update, I still get that thrill whenever I seen this thread bumped to the top. There are other sites where I find this sort of thing frustrating, but here it makes me kind of happy every single time.

Howdy, Taraiswillow'ssoul! We just had an update after almost a year-long break. Nothing would make me happier than to see another one soon, but I think you're going to have to wait patiently like the rest of us.

It's a damn good story, though, ain't it?

Easier Said,

I have just finished your story to date. Fabulous. I think that even if you're not a Buffy fan, you would enjoy this story. Your characters are lifelike, three dimentional human beings who make it easy to relate to. And the story is very engaging. I do like the dichotomy between Tara and Willow - Tara of the arts and Willow of the science, and yet they both try to understand the other. I will say that at times I felt like talking to the computer, yelling out "Just say it!" That goes for both Tara and Willow. it is to your genius that you make the reader "want" so much for the characters to get together; but more than that, to just be open and honest about their thoughts and feelings.

I look forward to your continuing of this story sometime soon... I hope?

Okay.......I will beg, I will plead......I will get on a plane to where you are and kiss your feet (not literally because like.....ew feet). This story has me stuck on it, I read it like every other day all the way through, its one of the best things I've ever read and I need it. It's probably not healthy to have an obsession with a fiction, but I am completely obsessed with this one. I know I am. It's crazy. So I'm like a junkie, begging for an update. Please......soonish?

In reading some of the others feedback for this story, I think I've discovered why this story works so well. It is exactly how Willow and Tara would act in an AU world, i.e. without the Gentlemen/coke machine experience. Without the undeniable proof of their soul connection as that experience gave them, there is loads of room for doubt, uncertainty, misunderstandings, etc. To be fair, in canon they had their share of misunderstandings at first. But isn't that part of the dance of new relationships?

Basically, what I'm trying to say is very well done, EasierSaid. You've pegged them both spot on.

Update soon? please?

I couldn't agree more. I seem to recall Heather herself saying her inspiration to write this was to explore what it like to fall in love, and she's captured it with startling realism. Makes me wish I was young again and falling in love for the first time - which is a real challenge considering all the angst involved! Who would want to go through all that again? When you read a scene like that one where they're putting up the fairy lights, though, how can you not?

What surprises me the most is that even though we all KNOW these two are going to get together, there's still a tangible excitement to it all. Page after page, and it never gets tiring.

If this were a real book, I'd pay money to buy it. In hardback.

I thought I'd reply while this story's near the top, so I don't trick anyone into thinking there's an update.

This is truly the best story I've read, not to mention, it has some of the best musical references (I heart The Rachels).

I think what's so great about this story is that it's... so normal? The reactions, the thoughts, the descriptions. All of it. They way it's written is so true to how the average person thinks.

Even the first few sentances are written so perfectly:
It was only supposed to be for a few days, a week or two at the most. Just enough time for her to find a place of her own, for her to get settled into the new job, the new routine and the new city. It wasn't supposed to turn into *this*.

I don't know how to describe it. I just love how you write and I hope you last update wasn't the last kick of a dying story. Please come back!
