Swedish Idol 2008

Although I live in Norway I also watch Swedish Idol, which usually is so much better then Norwegian Idol.
And this year there was a sixteen year old girl who came in for auditions with her guitar, and she blew away the judges and the rest of Sweden.
When I heard her sing I got tears in my eyes and chills everywhere!

That's my absolutely favorite Bonnie Raitt song... and I can't believe that girl's 16!! But she was astounding.

Well if she keeps that up and does not win I cannot imagine how phenomenal the winner must be. You don´t need to speak Swedish to understand what the jury was saying, heh, but I especially love Anna´s reaction -it seemed genuine to me- so she must be more than a little modest if she could even be surprised that they let her trough.

edited to add: and in the related video´s (one subtitles) I just watched, there is another Anna (Nyblom) from idols 2006 who´s reaction is even more priceless...

Honestly, it's hard to see what her range is from that one clip. She's amazing in that style of song, but maybe she doesn't do well in others. I can see her maybe not winning the whole thing because she isn't good enough in other vocal stylings. It would be a damn shame, but it's not uncommon to find people who can sing beautifully in one style, but don't have it in another.
