Being a Brit I've not seen S2 yet but in S1 it took a long time to reveal the villains of the season. Malcolm McDowell wasn't seen until about 2/3 (or it feels that way.) Sylar wasn't fleshed out until a good few episodes into it...

Perhaps there is something coming that will work better? Heroes has always taken it's time to the point it's too slow sometimes.

Is anyone watching Kristen Bell's character? If so, what is her character like?

A lot like Veronica Mars, actually, but...

Spoiler:
ready, willing and able to kill people by shooting lighting bolts out of her fingers.

OK, I have been watching the new season, and I have a question:

At the end of last season, I thought that the Petrelli brothers flew up into space where they were both blown to smithereens, yet here they both are, apparently alive and well. Likewise I thought Sylar was at last permanently killed, yet here he is alive, but seemingly minus his powers.

What goes on here? Did I miss something?? Please could somebody explain...thanks!

They haven't explained it yet. It's part of the "mystery" for this season.

Any comments on this week's ep 4 Months Ago?

Argh, D.L.'s death was so senseless! Why for the love of God?! I actually liked their (temporary) nice family life, D.L. being a hero-firefighter, Niki starting a 'normal job', but nooooooooo, dad had to die and mom had to have another personality... Sheesh! (Yeah I know, it sounds very much like another storyline we love to hate, heh). All I can think of is, Poor Micah. Oh well, at least he now lives with his cuuuuuuuuute cousin Monica :D. I really like that character, she literally (;)@HIMYM Robin!) kicks ass!! Can't wait to see more of her (I just hope I'm not jinxing her right now, we all know what happened to Charlie :P)!

I've read on some other sites that folks are not particurlary fond of the "wonder twins" Maya and Alejandro (read: couldn't care less about them), but I object... I kinda like them in a strange sibling-y way. Not so sure how much they are going to contribute to the overall storyline, but we'll see. Just like in a soap opera, alla these people get connected to each other some way some how, heh. For now, I think it's nice that they give Sylar (if you're not sick of HIM yet :P) some counterbalance in his, ahum, twisted humanity.

Who else? Not much Claire and Noah drama this ep (like, who cares anymore... esp w/Claire, DUMP THE BF, HE'S BORING!!!), no 3M's (Molly, Matt and Mohinder)... Elle! Sigh. Nah, I don't like Kristen Bell's character. Have to admit, I haven't seen much of Ms. Bell's previous acting jobs, but somehow Elle just irks me. Figures since she is supposed to be this crazy Elektra bitch, locked up and controlled since childhood, I'd be pretty psycho too.

So if I got it right, it's now somehow like this:
Hiro vs Adam (who I think may or may not be connected to Nightmare Boogy-Dad Parkman), Adam vs Bob's Company, Bob's Company vs Noah, Noah vs...eh West? Ack I'm getting confused :P! (And what about the Haitian? For which frikkin' team does he play?!?)

Still, I'm watching Heroes like a hawk baby! (And might be getting the Heroes Graphic Novel tomorrow during my class-trip to Amsterdam! Yay!)

They were supposedly going to "answer all the questions" in this most recent episode, yet they still haven't explained why Sylar is still alive!!!

I certainly agree with RockToddy: "confusion" is the operative word here. :happy

I have a terrible time remembering character's names but, the woman who could alter perception - was her name Candace? She kidnapped Micah and was with Sylar when he came to in the middle of a jungle this season.

Anyway, if I remember correctly, she told Sylar that she rescued him.

Supposedly the Heroes creative team put a "Plan B" together that would wrap up the entire season's story arc within the next three episodes, just in case there was a prolonged strike. Heck if I know how they're going to do that, but it looks like we're about to find out.

Episode 9, Cautionary Tales.

First off: Some people just won't stay dead on this show, do they? :P Oh well. Most wonderful line came from HRG: "Did you pack Mr. Muggles doggybath?" Hehe...

And okay, I'll admit it. As long as Elle doesn't open her mouth much (or slurps on a Slusho *tm JJ Abrams), I'm diggin' her.

I've also just stumbled upon Greg Beeman's blog and it contains some hilarious behind the scenes pictures from the cast of Heroes. Check it out! gregbeeman.blogspot.com

On to Episode 10, Truth & Consequences...

Yargh, another thrilling cliffhanger!

Things I liked: Monica, yay! The uhm, "ship" between Maya and Gabriel/Sylar, it's so not right and that's why I love it! The Clair-Elle stand off... hawt! And for the first time I liked Mohinder! All take-charge and shit. I liked it. No more Wussy Suresh!

Things that annoyed me: Peter. But who can blame him really? Still... Go Hiro! Oh and y'all know I like Monica, but please girlfriend, don't try to pull an Alias when you've got comic book pages flyin' all over the place ;)... How will our Saint Joan save herself now?!

Things I didn't like: Wonder Twins becoming Wonder One. It's never nice when someone dies. Eh, so Sylar probably told Maya her brother took their advice and got lost... and being a lovestruck puppy of death, she of course believed him. Twisted!

What I'm still curious about: What kind of powers Mom and Dad Petrelli possess(ed) and if Maya's power may turn out to be the mutated strain virus or not... just my little theory :D!

And this is what Greg Beeman had to say on the wrapping up of this season's story arc:
"Well before the writers strike was a serious issue, we had always planned on ending VOLUME 2 next week. It is true that, on the eve of the strike, as it was becoming an inevitability, Tim did some quick rewrites on episode 11, so that it would be even more resolved and complete if, God forbid, the strike goes on so long that there is no more of season 2 than the first eleven. If that happens 11 will be a de-facto season finale and can function as such. But if the strike is resolved relatively soon, we will most certainly come back and present VOLUME 3."

One more ep, boohoo... I don't want it to be over... please give the writers what they want, I need my Heroes-fix!!
Rick: "Gus... Ssssh... so, is it actually Alan that's giving you this faith, after he has cocktails with Gus?"
Olivia: "Okay y'know what, I don't know what they're drinking- The point is..."

O-kay then. Should I be excited about this? Heroes lost me awhile ago (I believe the eps where Seth Green and Breckin Meyer guest-starred as comic-store geeks were one of the last ones I bothered to watch), when it started to become all. about. the freaking powers and not so much about the characters handling them anymore.

Anyone who was still watching care to give us their latest impression of the show? Were the last episodes of Volume 3 worth catching up on?

Oh well, Claire developing a college girl-crush has got to be better than last year's flyboy McBoring, so I might start watching again anyway. I'm easy like that. ;)

It's being reported that the "girl-crush" (or whatever you want to call it) storyline was Hayden Panettiere's idea, which I find...not unexciting.*

http://tinyurl.com/ye7y76c

The Canadian star, who plays cheerleader Claire Bennett in the sci-fi series, will fall for her college roommate, Madeleine Zima, in an upcoming plotline and she reveals it was her idea to get sexy with another girl.

"So they [the writers] took it and ran with it. She's a great girl... and we have a blast."

*For the record, I'm not referring to sexual excitement, I just think it's winning that a young actress, whatever her own sexuality may be, felt free to "have a blast" with such a storyline.

Claire and Gretchen!
Okay, so why is nobody talking about this? Surely there's gotta be some Heroes watchers here...right?

This couple has been growing on me since the first time I saw them together. They have like an overload of cuteness. I really think this could be something good for the show. The thing is, I'm really scared that this is just a thing to attract viewers. But I'm starting to doubt that, because this relationship is getting deeper. I don't see why the writer's would do that without making them a couple.

But really...thoughts on this, anyone?

I'm hoping the writers continue this relationship and it doesn't end like so many others have on other tv shows.
I've co-written a tv show (hoping to get the Pilot optioned) and we've got a gay relationship storyline and it grows through S1 and S2 and S3.

I have not seen Monday's episode yet, but things seem like they are moving along at a good rate.

I seriously doubt the writers will be as stupid as :joss things are different now and killing a character just becuase you can is viewed as immature and lazy.

Here's to Claire/Gretchen then! I don't think it will be long lived, but I am going to bet it will not end in death or someone turning evil.

Yeah fingers crossed they'll keep em both alive and happy for a good long time. Seems like Claire has finally found someone she can trust and if that leads onto smoochies and togetherness then im more than happy :party

What im concerned about is the lack of fan fic out there. I mean seriously where is it all. There's lots of stuff to play with between them. If anyone knows of any fic flying about a heads up would be very appreciated.
