Thank you Seurat, if you have any interesting spoilers to share, feel free to do so (using the spoiler code of course). I do not mind being spoiled, but I am too lazy to go look for them. :p
Thank you as well TheRose, :) now I remember the episode, I think I will rewatch it. Maybe it means something that she did not solve that case, myabe there is a link.

CW detective drama Veronica Mars matched its best-ever ratings in the 18 to 49 demographic with its season-three premiere. Aside from the new intro, the show was subtly muted in tone, with a different color palette and low-key acting.

At the TCA in July, show creator Rob Thomas said he wanted the characters to grow up now that they were in college--it remains to be seen if the fans will agree...

Mars delivered its third highest-rated telecast ever among adults 18-34, its second best telecast ever in adults 18-49, and its fourth most watched episode ever (3.3 million viewers) since its debut in 2004.

We may get a full season afterall.

Wallace is the MAN in this ep! He completely fools Logan and wins their bet.

Mac has a heart of gold. She promises to watch Parker's back from on. Parker is definitely better off in college than going home with her parents.

Kendall is not so shallow and uncaring afterall.

Where is Piz? I miss him.

Veronica had better be careful because Chip knows she is up to something. He is probably going to be more careful if he is behind the rapes.

Does anyone think the rapist is female, or is that what they want us to think?

I felt so horrible for Veronica and Mac at the beginning! And Lamb is still such an ass.

Did anybody else feel extremely amused when Veronica was going girl-gone-wild at the rush party?

I think the lady in the golf cart who drove Veronica home knows something. Chip, as well.

Was that Rider Strong playing the jerk in the experiment?! That was so surprising. Hopefully, it's not a one-episode stint. The sociology subplot was really good for me...wits over brute force. GO WALLACE!

At the moment, I don't feel that the rapist is female...nor do I really want to, but it's really up to Rob Thomas.

I really enjoyed yesterdays episode. Is it me or are Veronica and Logan not being as lovey-dovey as they use to be? At the end of last season they couldn't keep their hands off eachother. And last episode we got the nekkid scene but that was it. I wonder is this a sign of what's to come.

I loved Veronica's "girl-gone-wild" moment, it had me laughing. I started laughing even more when she saw the camera. Speaking of... I think that was a kinda cheesy way to reveal the pot. First of all, if you're growing illegal drugs, in a sorority house of all place, don't you think they'd try to make it as incospicuous as possible? Having that camera there was screamin "I'm hiding something!" Wouldn't it have been more logical to hide it in the basement, out of the way, and not right next to the party room? I think that was really the only gripe i had about the episode.

When Rider Strong appear on screen, I couldn't help but yell "Sean!" He was pretty good doing the whole jerk thing.

So was Charisma really killed off? We didn't see her actually lying there dead so it could just be misdirection. I, for one, hope she wasn't because I liked her on the show.

I want more Mac. These past two episodes she hasn't had much to do, but then again, neither has Logan.

As for the female being the rapist, I have no clue at this point. It could go either way. The "buzzing" sound Veronica heard could have been the shaver, which would mean that the rapist was shaving Parker's head while in bed... but there was no sign or mention of hair anywhere. OR it could be "something else" as Veronica put it, which means that it might be a female, and her head was shaved somewhere else. If it is a female it would be something different, because you hardly see female rapists on TV, they're usually men.

All in all I think it's a pretty good start for the show.

So many good things in this ep, really hard to remember them all. I agree that the whole grow-op reveal seemed a bit dodgy, and really why would they need an op that big just for her supply? I appreciate though that once again they faked us out and didn't provide an easy answer. I think the mystery will be solved in the next ep or two however since RT promised shorter arcs this season. No idea if the rapist is male or female, but still think male is more likely. See above about how he loves to fake us out.

I'm afraid from Keith's reaction that he at least really believes Kendall is dead, but who knows? We can still hope. Anyway, loved his whole story this week. Didn't we all just know someone was going to step into that bear trap? (Although what a bear trap was doing out in that desert I'll never understand) And pretty cold of Liam to kill his brother like that.

Mac is amazing.Parker couldn't ask for anyone better to watch her back. Did it look to anyone else that maybe the actress playing Parker really got her head shaved? I was sure at first it was a wig, but later I could't be certain. Anyway, I'm starting to warm up to her. . As for Logan and Wallace, I think they were pretty even actually, remember Logan is yelling at the kid not to tell anything, I think he suspected something wasn't right. Anyway the streaking bit was fun.

Finally VM was in fine form this week, particularly liked her scene in the free ride trying to convince the girl she wasn't drunk. And as always her interaction with Keith was perfect. Like to see more of her with Mac, but then I'd like to see more of Mac, period. Still, another top notch episode. Now I'll have to go and check the ratings.

V Mars is on the up and up so far.

The CW's Gilmore Girls earned its best numbers of the season so far, while Veronica Mars improved its ratings four percent in women 18-34. Veronica helped the CW come in ahead of NBC and Fox at 9 p.m. in the adults 18-34 demo. :bounce :bounce :bounce

Thanks for the info the Rose. :) Here´s hoping for a some definite good news about a whole season then.

Finally saw the second episode. I liked it as usual. I am having a hard time believing all that pot was just there for poor Ms Stepford and that these girls are just indeed as happy and perky and innocent as they pretend to be. Also still not convinced that Kendall is dead. Though I am not sure what she would be up to.

It's a filler ep this week, but there is another rape.

Weevil is back.

Where is Mac and Wallace? Atleast Mac's name is mentioned. Kristen and Tina really do have a lot of chemistry when they are on screen together. This is why I am glad Mac is now one of Veronica's closest friends. I love their scenes together.

Logan is messing up already, and there is way too much of him in this ep.

True, no Mac and I certainly missed her. Wallace I didn't realize I hadn't seen untilt afterward, so wasn't that big a deal for me. Loved seeing Weevil and really appreciated the realistic way they dealt with him, it would have been easy to just put him in the Mars office and leave him there, instead they made it clear that his propensity to react with violence doesn't make him a good investigator, despite his other skills. Maybe later, since he obviously liked the work.

I didn't mind all the Logan stuff because I still think they are moving towards a breakup, and that has to be set up properly.I enjoyed seeing Piz again. The mystery of the week was ok, a bit light and maybe you could call it filler but I thought it was decent enough. And the writing is so good, I mean really how can you not love lines like the one about planting the GPS in Logan's car and the throwaway line about piano wire in the opening. My only concern about this ep, other than the much lamented lack of Mac, is that I''ve never been a big fan of Ed Begley so maybe I won't be into those scenes. I was stunned and even a little moved by the rape revelation, the guys from the paper looked gutted by what had happened. Hopefully the rapist will be revealed soon, I wouldn't want them to keep these rapes happening on the show for too much longer.

Veronica Mars" climbed to its best adults 18-34 (1.8/5) performance of the season, matching its second best delivery EVER in the demo. "Veronica" also tied its second best rating in the show's history in adults 18-49 (1.4/4).

"Veronica Mars" was on the rise this week, improving week to week by 20% in adults 18-34, 8% in adults 18-49, 6% in women 18-49 (1.9/4) and 9% in viewers (3.2mil).

Here's to the show getting better ratings despite the technical difficulties this week. ***GRRRR*** I had the tv on to a blank screen the whole time, and even the downloaded version had blips in it. I'm very happy Weevil is back--I missed Wallace and Mac, but everyone doesn't have to be in every episode--just if it's important to the plot. I still wonder if Duncan is ever going to make an appearance.
As for the Logan/Veronica relationship issues, I liked that they showed how they compromised--like they were growing up a bit, whereas that would previously have been enough to break them up.

Veronica keeps making enemies.

Right now the show is wasting too much time on Dick and Logan. Wallace only has a few lines and Mac and Piz are missing again. There had better be a lot of Mac, Wallace and Piz in later eps.

Yes, I'm feeling Mac deprived too, hope I don't go into some sort of nasty withdrawl :happy Two weeks of no Mac is too long, but hopefully Tina is off shooting a movie or that other tv show she was on - is that still alive?

But I still liked this ep, VM was great as always, loved the I could leave Logan to be happy with his new cool brother, or I could be me line, Of course she had had to be herself and investigate the guy and uncover the undercover journalist. (Not sure how Vanity Fair would actually feel about a story obtained that way, I'd like to think they wouldn't use it but that's probably being over optimistic.) Yes, Dick is not my favorite character, nor is Logan for that matter, but they were important to the story this week and so it made sense for them to be prominent. I think Wallace actually was in there for a short time and we got to see a lot of Keith who is always great.

Mac needs to be all over the next ep though. Or else.

The ratings are up again this week.

The CW, meanwhile, was at now typical Tuesday levels with its pairing of Gilmore Girls (Overnights: #5, 3.9/ 6; Viewers: #5, 4.70 million; A18-49: #5, 2.0/ 5) and Veronica Mars (Overnights: #5, 2.3/ 3; Viewers: #5, 3.31 million; A18-49: #5, 1.4/ 4). Gilmore Girls ranked second in the hour among women 18-34 (3.2/ 9) despite the noticeable year-to-year erosion. And the slowly building Veronica Mars was up by 6 percent in both total viewers and women 18-49 (1.9/ 5) from one week earlier, with retention out of Gilmore Girls of 81 percent among target adults 18-34.

Also, here is news on Mac.(Tina Majorino)

Tina Majorino (Mac) Teases Veronica Mars' Next Big Mystery!
by Matt Webb Mitovich

Tina Majorino, Veronica Mars
If you're reading this Q&A online, you obviously have some computer savvy. And if you really have the savvy, you gotta love Veronica Mars' Mac, our young detective's go-to gal for all things hi-tech and on the down-low. Alas, Hearst College's most wired has gone offline as of late, so TVGuide.com got a hold of her portrayer, Tina Majorino, to find out when Mac might reboot our TV screen. (Veronica Mars airs Tuesdays at 9 pm/ET, on CW.)
TVGuide.com: So... Mac seems to be spending a lot of time off screen at the campus gym these days.
Tina Majorino: She does, doesn't she?

TVGuide.com: What's up with that?
Majorino: I think she's just trying to be there for Parker [her rape-victim roommate], and I guess Parker loves working out. It's their little bonding thing.

TVGuide.com: But when are we next going to see you? In "Charlie Don't Surf" [airing tonight]? "President Evil" [Episode 5, airing Oct. 31]?
Majorino: I'm trying to remember.... I think it's the one that we're filming right now, [Episode] 9, called "Spit and Eggs."

TVGuide.com: What's Mac up to in that episode [written and directed by Mars creator Rob Thomas, and airing Nov. 28]?
Majorino: This episode is pretty intense because it's wrapping up the rapist mystery, so Mac is helping Veronica finalize her investigation into that.

TVGuide.com: Will that episode also plant the seed for this season's second big mystery?
Majorino: Yes.

TVGuide.com: Have we seen any hints of that new mystery yet?
Majorino: Kind of, yes. But you won't know [what it is] until you've seen this episode. You've been introduced to the characters, but this one definitely plants the seed, you'll see. Again, it's very intense.

TVGuide.com: Do you think that in light of what happened to Mac in last season's finale, it's been difficult to include her in this season's lighter moments?
Majorino: I don't think it has anything to do with what she is going though because they have been really good about giving Mac time and being realistic about it. It's not like all of the sudden she's over everything that happened. They're just trying to balance out everybody's story lines, because we still need to take a look at Parker's story, and Piz, Logan.... There are a lot of people to keep up with.

TVGuide.com: What's the buzz regarding the ratings to date?
Majorino: We're doing really well. We're all just excited that we're in the third season and that we got to be a part of the new CW. We were really happy with the ratings last week.

TVGuide.com: Is there an early feeling on whether they'll grant you a full season?
Majorino: I don't really know. Nobody is revealing anything, which is very nerve-wracking, but we're thinking we're going to be OK. We'll see. We're crossing our fingers!

TVGuide.com: If someone were to swing by the set in between shooting scenes, who would you most likely be found gabbing with?
Majorino: Oy... mostly I talk to people on the crew. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: Crew people need love, too.
Majorino: They're awesome, and they're the hardest-working people on the set. Or, my mom comes down to visit sometimes, so I'll hang out with her.

TVGuide.com: You're a series regular on Veronica Mars this season, but I understand that that took a bit of finagling, because of your commitment to HBO's Big Love?
Majorino: It's a little tough, but Big Love and Veronica Mars have both been really great about juggling the schedule so I could do both shows. It was a huge thing for me to be able to do Big Love again, so everyone on Veronica Mars was really good about respecting that and allowing me to do that.

TVGuide.com: Were you like, "Look at me! I'm a hot ticket!"?
Majorino: No, I was just so happy that I got to be on both shows. I'm honored.

TVGuide.com: Amanda Seyfried (ex-Lilly Kane) is on Big Love, too. Had your paths crossed before on Veronica Mars?
Majorino: No, we never had scenes together when she was actually working on Veronica Mars. But a couple of people have done Veronica Mars and Big Love. Kyle Gallner, who played Beaver, is also on Big Love....

TVGuide.com: Have you started production on the second season of Big Love yet?
Majorino: Yes. And it's going to be a really good season.

TVGuide.com: The show was a bit of a lightning rod for controversy when it debuted.
Majorino: Absolutely, but HBO is known for that. They really push the envelope as far as the issues they want to bring into discussion. I think it's a really positive thing, because people should broaden their horizons and get knowledge on all sorts of different things. It's an interesting show, and I'm thankful I get to be on a show that has such great heart.

TVGuide.com: Do you think you could ever share a husband?
Majorino: No. Never. I really couldn't. I think about that a lot when I'm on the set, and it's definitely something I couldn't do.

TVGuide.com: Here's a question from a coworker: "Will Mac ever wear a side ponytail like you did in Napoleon Dynamite?"
Majorino: [Laughs] I don't think Mac would wear it how Deb did, but maybe she'd rock more of a glam-side ponytail. I'm not sure, but I think that'd be kind of funny!

TVGuide.com: You played Ray Liotta's daughter in Corinna, Corinna. Were you at least watching Smith?
Majorino: I feel really bad for saying this, but I don't watch TV, and I really should have been. But I love Ray Liotta, and think he's a fantastic actor.

TVGuide.com: Last question: Who would win in a computer-hacking fight: Mac, Smallville's Chloe, or 24's Chloe?
Majorino: Oh, wow, that's really hard. Um... yikes. Probably 24's Chloe. [Laughs] Either her or Mac!
Tara: Willow, I got so lost.
Willow: I found you. I will always find you.

Now, this is more like Veronica Mars I am used to. This week's ep is a lot better than the last two. There is no Mac and Piz, but it is good overall.

Veronica saves the day again and saves Weevil again in the process. Logan is still messing up, and thank goodness there is no Dick this week.

Wallace is hanging around the wrong people, but I hope he won't get expelled for cheating.

Now, I'm torn. I really liked this week's episode, but I didn't like the teaser for next week's episode. This show is supposed to be about the mysteries....not about her and Logan's relationship. They complement each other well, but I don't want to see a lot of "oh my god, are they going to break up" bs....I want to see Veronica solving mysteries.

I wouldn't worry too much about the romantic aspect of the show taking over, I think RT is just playing to the demographic that he knows the network is after, those 18-34 females, and the belief is that they want to see VM going through the ups and downs of relationships. Of course, they also seem to think that they will like those Ariel gabfest commercials and I find that hard to believe. Anyway, if that's the cost of keeping the show going for a whole season I can deal. I'm sure there will be plenty of mysteries , both large and small, to puzzle over.

For instance, in this ep I didn't figure out the campus cops were guilty until VM showed up on his doorstep with Backup and her usual 'tude. Duh. I guess I'm not prime detective material. Did enjoy Cliff in this ep, he's a hoot. And Lamb was ok this time too. Hopefully Wallace won't get into too much trouble over buying those test answers. I'm interested in seeing where the rape investigation goes next given the complication that Claire's boyfriend is in that ATM pic and she pretended not to know him. :hmm

Disapointments? I have a few. No Mac, of course, but at least we know for sure when she's coming back. I didn't like VM accusing Weevil like that, and her rippping the locket from the little girl wasn't a favorite moment in the ep either. It's good that she's shown with flaws, but it bothered me to see her behaving like that, especially towards Weevil.

Oh, the little girl was a hideous venomous creature without a doubt. Still, she'd just learned her Daddy was going to be arrested so the way VM chose that moment to rip it off her neck bothered me a little. Only a little mind you, since the locket was a reminder of Lily and the kid was well, um, not adorable.

The look on the little girl's face was priceless, although I do kinda feel bad for her because she probably didn't know why her father was being arrested or that he had stolen the necklace (or maybe she did, who knows?).

Who was that guy Wallace was hanging out with near the end?

There we go! This makes two stellar episodes in a row.

A lot of you wanted Veronica to be hated. You are sure getting your wish now.

I am glad Wallace and Veronica are back to doing the best friend thing, and Yay, for Wallace improving his grade in the tough mechanical engineering course! I wonder how his decision will affect his basketball career.

This episode also contains a lot of its trademark twists and turns.

Did anyone suspect Mercer? I didn't. Also, I am glad Parker is starting to remember things. Veronica will definitely need her help. Parker seems to be trying to tone down her behavior as well.

I am a little disappointed in Keith though.

There's no way Wallace would be learning that kind of material in a first-semester mechanical engineering class. Not unless they've really beefed up the cirriculum in the last 25 years.

Poor Veronica is becoming the keeper of all campus secrets.

I don't believe Hearst is supposed to be an absolute top-flight school either Bob, so that probably makes it even less likely. Maybe the Prof likes to weed out the weak students early by making it tough at the beginning?

I don't think Mercer is going to turn out to be the rapist either. I have a guess where they are going with this, but I'm not going to mention it because I'd like to be wrong in this case. Yes, VM sure isn't Miss Popular right now, is she? Which makes me miss Mac even more, she needs another person to have her back besides Wallace. I found Keith's subplot a bit dull but they did need to give him something to do besides interact with Veronica. Piz was good, liked the bowling and his awkwardness with Parker. He clearly has a thing for VM, we'll see where that goes.

Finally I really like that idea of making the nasty little girl a sort of junior nemesis for Veronica, that could be a lot of fun. Eventually she could co-opt her into being a little scooby gangster. Mind you there already isn't enough screen time for Mac and Wallace, so maybe not.

I liked what they did with Wallace this week. He had to make some tough decisions as well as some sacrifices, and he put his future ahead of his game, which was really mature of him.

I don't think Mercer did it. It's too early to end the mystery, and it would be too obvious.

I'm disappointed in Keith for deciding to sleep with Harmony. Granted, he was in the whole carpe diem mode after the crash, but we know he was setting himself up for that. I don't know if I missed this last season, but when did he break up with Wallace's mom?

Piz was such a sweetie this episode. I'm actually being won over to the Piz/Veronica. Piz is just a total cutie! Who makes funny and witty quips! <3

Lastly, we NEED Mac to come back. Next episode looks promising.

Remember when Wallace's real father comes back? Keith goes through Alicia's personal papers without her permission. She is very unhappy, needless to say, and one can assume they break up. Alicia doesn't take junk from anyone.

The CW has upped the total of episodes to 16. Here's hoping for a full season.

Thanks, The Rose24! I guess because it wasn't shown onscreen that I assumed that they were still together. Didn't like them anyways...not that I especially like Harmony either, though. She's like a less attractive version of Meredith Grey. And hello, Keith - married?!

A full season would be absolutely amazing. The show's doing well enough in the ratings to deserve one. :)[/spoiler]
