Well of course we know that nothing is going to happen to Dex, since without him there is no series. ;-) However, he certainly is in (as the old saying had it) a "hairy" situation: it will be interesting to see how he gets out of it.

The fact that Miguel would turn the super-evil "Skinner" on Dexter shows the extent of his psychopathology-- he isn't concerned that Dex is guilty of murder, only that Dexter frustrated him and, in the process, angered him.

A prediction: I'd be willing to bet that Dexter will do away with Miguel by the end of the series. ;-)

So Dexter's abduction turned out to be what used to be called a "cheathanger" back in the days of the cliffhangers. Nonetheless, my prediction came true and he did, indeed, do away with Miguel (although it's interesting that he used the unusual method of garotting rather than his usual stabbing--I wonder if this had some special significance?).

Next week's season finale should be interesting, especially with the return of Ramon. It will also be interesting to see if Dex and Rita actually get married.

I thought Dexter was planning to make it look like the Skinner's work. At some point, he was relieved that George King had gotten away from Deb and Quinn because he needs him free so he can be suspected of Miguel's murder. I don't remember the Skinner garroting people, though.... Sometimes I don't pay the closest attention.

Or was Ellen Wolf garroted?

Who else thinks that George King isn't the Skinner? I have my doubts.

Well, I finally got to see the Dexter Finale and it was both exciting and moving. As I see it, we have seen Dexter become more human during this season: two scenes in particular come to mind--first in his dealing with Ramon ("Sometimes it's not necessary to kill a wounded animal; just to remove the thorn") and second in the fantasy encounter with his father's ghost while in the clutches of The Skinner ("I forgive you").

All of this finally led to the wonderful wedding sequence, with Dex hosnestly promising to be the best husband he can be, and not forcing the issue of Rita's secret.

All in all, I think this bodes well for the next season. :)

The season finale was greaaat. Julie Benz looked soooo beautiful. She's certainly come a long way from her Buffy/Angel days!

Show is finally back, and an extra creepy and also very funny episode it was too. John Lithgow is a master at playing a tormented soul like this one, and his first murder was so well, creepy really is the best word, that it was hard to watch. On the othe hand watching Dex struggling with parenthood was awesome. Still love Jennifer Carpenter too. Should be another fine season.

I quite agree. Hall's portrayal of Dexter continues to be a marvel--a subtle attempt to try to appear "normal" even when everything around him clearly isn't normal. The scene at the barbecue was the most obvious example. Then there was the neighborhood "vandal", and, of course, Rita's taste in music. :lol

Once again we have him faced off against a serial killer without a code similar to his own. Will he try and stop him himselft, or will Dexter somehow arrange for the obsessed Agrent Lundy to get him? It will be interesting to find out.
