Yeah, impressive... *rolls eyes*
I met my ex boyfriend, now my best friend in the whole universe, through WoW. And I used to be in the same raid as my ex girlfriend. That was a long time ago, but we were probably one of those couples, that would NEVER do anything together but playing WoW. I know, it's really pathetic and sad and believe me I am so glad it is over.
I played for 2 1/2 years and have been in raids for 2 years. I was maintank some time, but being a resto-druid was soooo much more fun than hitting Ilidans feet all the time

...
My rl-friends stopped playing, because they did not want to do raids anymore and had no interest in arena-games or PvP in gerneral. So in may there was just me and a friend left, who wants to play Warhammer online and stop playing WoW.
I do miss it sometimes, when I'm alone or missing doing things with my friends, because they are so far away, but like gorn, I'd not do raids anymore and probably just jump around in IF or Shatt.

(Used to do that a lot too, even though we had raids 6 times a week - crazy, hu?)
You are so right about the addiction-thing though. I'm sure almost anything can make you addicted to it. I'm an addict to loooooovvveeee.
Honestly, food, sex, work, coffee, drugs, alcohol, online games etc. all of them can make you addicted and some people are absolutely better of NOT playing WoW. For an addiction there always has to be a reason and someone kinda "weak" enough to get addicted. (No offense!)
It is a fun game though, when you limit it to casual playing and even better when you play it on a casual basis with friends...
