I Still Remember



I still remember holding you in my arms my darling

The feel of your soft and strong embrace around me like so

I still remember your affectionate eyes looking back at me

Your sweet and fragile voice so soft and low



I still remember sleeping beside you in bed at night

Singing you songs until you fell asleep

I still remember your insistent eyes gazing back at me

When you asked if I can stay a bit and help you watch the sheep leap



I stayed with you all night and all day

At your side and in your heart

We fell asleep in each others arms that day

Like two peas in pod that refused to ever part



I still remember saying goodbye to you long ago that dark day

Your sad and gloomy eyes so bright and wide

I still remember as the tears slowly slid down your face

When you realized that I wouldn’t always be by your side



Wiping the tears from my own eyes

Forcing myself to turn and walk away

I remember as a soft sob escaped my throat

When I just didn’t know what to say



I still remember staring at your empty room

As you left home for the very first time

I wished that I hugged you in my arms my sweetie

And I told you that you will always be mine



I see you now looking down at me

Like you’re about to cry

You think I left you but know that I would never

Even if this is where I lie



I’m always going to be there baby

I’d never ever leave you my love

I’m here right now my darling

As I watch you from up above

Heaven



Some say heaven is paradise

Colorless vapors of clouds in the sky

Floating up in ecstasy and bliss

Complete and utter happiness after our bodies die



Some say that heaven is like walking on air

Eating ice-cream in the middle of the night

Snuggling up under the cozy stars

And that feeling that everything is going to be all right



Some say that heaven is somewhere far

A place where all good souls rest and play

Sunny meadows and colorful flowers

An everlastingly beautiful day



Some say that heaven is indescribable

A feeling that no one can ever explain

A place where souls are free to wander and roam

A place where you will never feel any pain



I say that heaven is with you my darling

That I can never imagine myself without your embrace

I would rather be there with you my baby

Than anymore near this place
