There was You



There was a time when I was on my own,

And I thought that I would always be alone.



There was a time when I was as unhappy as can be,

And the good things in life I never could see.



There was I time when I hated everything about life.

And there were times when my worries were cured with a knife.



There was a time when I was always sad,

And I though that the person I was inside was bad.



There was a time when no-one loved me,

And I was lost and scared, and never free.



There was a time when I wished I was dead,

And when I thought there was something wrong inside my head.



There was a time when I thought I couldn’t on,

And I thought that everything in life went wrong



And then…there was you.
