Heh, Hiro cracks me up (and not just because I can actually understand most of what he's saying). He's so otaku that it just ain't funny. I think he's the most hilarious part of an otherwise dark and serious show. I've been hooked since ep one and am happy as all hell that the eps are available for download (without commercials, mind you) on the NBC.com website. Whoo hoo!

I am hopelessly addicted to this show already!!! I love it! I love that Clea Duvall has been in the last 2 episodes. eeehhh!!! The characters are all very interesting and well written. And it has the suspense that I've been missing since the early days of Alias.

I love Heroes. And since I haven't watched Lost since they killed off Shannon, I really needed a good show like this to come along. I love Hiro too, and his reluctant friend, and I love the cheerleader. (Can you believe that last scene in this weeks ep? Yikes.) I can even tolerated Milo what's his names character (the younger brother of the politician) and I hated that actor on Gilmore Girls. My fave secondary character is the possibly all too convenient friendly neighbour played by Nora Zehetner since I've had a crush on that actress since Everwood. Doubt she''ll be around for long, but it sure is fun to see her.

Can't wait until they all start meeting up and bonding and figuring out each other's power. (It seems likely that Milo's power is absorbing and using other people's powers, which is why he can fly when he is with his brother, but not when is by himself.)

Ahhh...good thought about Milo. I thought he just couldn't control his power yet, like the cop.

Any thoughts on the stripper/single mom (I forget the characters name)? Is she physically both personas?

LOVE Hiro! He is totally the heart of the show.

And, I know I sometimes have a warped sense of humor, but when Claire woke up on the autopsy table I thought it was a riot.

Well this thread made me curious so I downloaded the episodes. I find it enjoyable enough to keep watching. I am normally not into superhero stories. People, whether they are superheros or not, who are so untouchable usually annoy me.

The cheerleader and the Vegas mom are quite interesting. So far I am not such a big fan of the little Japanese guy though. He is just a little too silly for my taste and who is still stupid enough to see a pool of blood and a gun on the floor next to it and decide it would be a good idea to pick it up so you can get your fingerprints all over it. Don´t they get CSI in Japan?

His time travelling ability is interesting though. This show could go on forever if at the last minute he travels back in time and the changes things to come again and again. Not so sure it is a good idea for him to be following what is in that comic, after all he should be trying to change the future, not live it as it is written because that clearly won´t end well.

Oh and I hope Clea Duvall will remain on the show. She´s great and her´s is a good character, also nice to see her without the greasy hairdo, she is looking mighty fine.

You know I had the exact same thought when Hiro picked up that gun, in fact I recall yelling at the screen, No, you idiot don't pick up the gun! Since then I've read comments from people that said basically, if you're concerned that the bad guy might still be there, picking up the gun is a good idea, because a) you're armed and b) that's one less gun the killer is going to have. So who knows?

I think both Clea Duvall and Nora Zehetner are temps on the show, but I'd love to see them both stick around. I think the comic book is adapting to changing events, so maybe Hiro is right to do what is in there, or maybe he has no choice, whatever he does will be in the comic anyway.

I still have no idea how the Vegas mom's power works, but I think she meets Hiro soon, that should tell us more.

I thought about that as well, but I do not believe that is what was on his mind when he picked up the gun. If the killer had wanted to use that gun he would not have left it lying there in the first place. Hiro could not have known whether there were any bullets left and I doubt he would even know how to use a gun. Also, if someone would have been there, how could he know whether or not that was the killer. Would he have shot whoever was there? I don´t think so, and if someone would attack him he could teleport himself to safety like he did when he saw that nuclear blast coming at him. Nah, I maintain picking up that gun was stoopid and getting caught with a possible murder weapon in your hand is so Jessica Fletcher.

The Indian guy, the one that looks like a Greek god, is married to Olga Sosnovska. She was Lena on All My Children several years ago when the Lena/Bianca storyline was huge. She then moved on to MI-5, a British spy series.

Ok, I'm still trying to remember all the characters names, so bear with me.

There is a "special" person working for the bad guy, Siler, who seems to have all kinds of powers. At the moment, he looks like more than a match for almost anyone.

Then there's the younger brother who thought he could fly, but is learning that his gift is mimicking the power of whoever is near him.

I think I see a showdown coming up!

Syler reminds me of the evil Satanic character Stephen King's The Last Stand. He's rounding up all of those who would use their powers to do evil and experimenting on how to sap the powers of those who, for all intents and purposes, wish to use their power for good. Siler is creepy but I don't think he himself has any special powers. Like Mohinder's father, Dr. Suresh, I think Siler has been trying to gather and seek out the people he's been looking for in his research. Running into Siler was a serious misfortunate event as apparently this guy had already started gathering his forces for the main catastrophe.

Younger brother = Peter Petrelli
Older brother = sleazeball soon-to-be Senator Nathan Petrelli

Ali Larter just is SMOKIN' as Niki Sanders, the good girl with a very very dangerous bad girl side.

Derrrr, I had not noticed that, so that is why he could move around while time was frozen. Hiro looked very cool in the end and even attractive, an extreme super hero make-over if ever I saw one. I absolutely love the scenes with the cheerleader. Not really stuff you should be watching during dinner. I can consider myself hooked now.

Is Claire's (the cheerleader) father Syler? I miissed that. At any rate, I agree that he doesn't have any powers himself, he's just a civil servant type with a mission to either exploit or rid the world of these "heroes". I had thought the guy he has working for him was just a really strong telepath who used his power to wipe clean the mind of the cop. But it's probably too early to tell at this point.

Hiro at the end was awesome, one of my favorite moments so far. And I loved Claire's storyline this week, and the way she dealt with the rapist quarterback. As soon as he said to her there is nothing you can do, I knew he was finished. Glad to see Nora Zehetner (as Eden the neighbour girl) is still around, too bad we didn't see Clea this week though. Shaping up to be a really fine show, my favorite by far of the new season.

Syler is Claire's adopted father. In an earlier episode there was a discussion about Claire wanting to meet her biological parents. It was apparent that she wanted to know if there was anything unusual about them.

Syler's sidekick appears to:
* Have telepathic abilities
* Be able to take several bullets and get back up again
* Move very, very quickly
* And there was something weird about the way people are getting killed with furniture.

Hmmm...now that I type this, it's beginning to sound like this guy is "Syler's Monster" (like Frankenstein's Monster). Like he's grafted together from other people's abilities.

I wonder....

Another fine ep this week, lots of things going on and I find I'm really looking forward to the new ep's to see where they are going to go with this next. I really liked Nathan's flying scene, I would much rather have them show him zooming around like that because the sfx is so much more believable than the slow flying shots which nobody seems to be able to do properly. I loved his landing too, with his feet heated up from the friction caused by his stopping at speed. We finally have a couple of the group working together, and several others have met at least - more than just met, in Nathan and Niki's case. And I enjoyed the telepathic cop's scenes.

I would liked to have seen Nora or Clea in this one of course, but you can't have everything. I'm still not convinced that Claire's dad is Sylar by the way, there are a lot of inconsistencies there. But we'll see.

There is an online comic for the show at NBC's website that is worth checking out, and Claire has a spot on myspace, presumably also set up by NBC. It's pretty funny too.

I thought that Sylar was the name of that creepy supernatural killer that our beloved FBI agent was after, the one that slaughtered the parents of that little girl. After this episode I am not so sure that daddy cheerleader is as bad as he has been set up to appear.

Another good ep this week. Are they setting this up where some of these will be heroes but others villains. Peter's brother is definitely no saint thinking Lex Luthor but with super powers and Niki-Wow. The revelation that Niki's alter-ego was responsible for setting DL up was shocking. She is really going to have figure out some kind of control.

Not anymore. DL took care of her in short order. That part really irked me. I was looking forward to more Darling Nikki than Good girl Nikki.

Hiro...what can I say? I was fangirling him the whole time, and that's pretty odd for a straight up lesbian He's just so CUTE!

I'm not so sure we've seen the last of Niki, or both of them for that matter (love how the mirror image version says "us" all the time, remember when she had her spiked heel on that guys head in the elevator and she said leave "our" son alone?). At any rate, I certainly hope she's not dead, the show needs her. Good or evil? Who knows at this point? Certainly not all good though, after all the people she's killed.

I totally called that Eden would be a spy, but I'm glad she's still around and may be a positive character yet, since we still don't know what Claire's Dad's agenda will turn out to be. Hiro is great, telling his friend not all heroes have powers, and being upset with himself for not saving the poker players. And the stuff with the sword is priceless. I hope he doesn't lose all that goofy charm when he becomes future-Hiro. And Claire's birth parents? The look the part, espcially the mother, but I'm sure they are fakes brought in by her Dad.

I totally agree. I'd die if Niki is really gone. She so rocked my socks.

I did too. She was just way too insistent on Mohinder finishing his father's work.

Can't let the most recent ep go by without any comment at all here, so I'll just say my favorite bit was the reveal of Micah's power and his phone call to Niki/Jessica with his line to Jessica, "put my Mom on the phone." Classic. Obviously also glad that Niki and her dark half are alive still. I thought the scenes with Claire and her brother were good too, a fairly realistic exchange between a teen brother and sister, even when one has some strange healing power.

I would prefer to see more of Matt (the cop) with Clea and less with his cheating wife, and I wish I'd been shown what happened between Isaac and Eden, and not just because I'm always willing to see more of Nora Zehetner. Hiro and Ando were fun as usual, and Nathan is silll a devious snake, which makes him a fairly representative politician, don't ya think? I missed the previews, so I have no idea what comes next, but I'm looking forward to it.

The show seems to be building up more and more and we keep seeing more powers revealed. I love all the characters.

I feel sorry for the cop, I hope he and the wife talk about it so that he at least know where she stands maybe she regrets her mistake...dunno.

The cheerleader rocks. I'm still trying to figure out the Dad.

The Artist and Hiro are great characters.

Now the alter ego Jessica needs to be killed but it seems like she can't die?

Wow, I better just watch the last episode again, I wasn't really paying attention . It's definately a show that you have to concentrate on.

I love it!

Another terrific ep I thought, they have such a strong cast of characters that they can get away with not having several of the major figures in here at all -Niki/Jessica, Micah, Peter and Nathan- and still have a solid ep. Glad to see the info about what happened with Isaac and Eden and the reveal that Eden does have a power of some sort. (Suggestion? Persuasion?) The backstory in India was well done, although I hope they bring the young professor back in with the others soon

I really liked Charlie and so was shocked when she got killed by Sylar, hopefully Hiro will be able to change her fate so we can see her again. And they moved along Matt and radiation guy's stories too, and got Clea some more screen time which is always a bonus. We learned more about Claire's dad and his secret life and established for sure that he is not all bad. Nasty though, forcing Eden to give Isaac the heroin. Next week we should see a lot more of Claire, and hopefully find out what is happening with Niki/Jessica and Micah.
