Going back through the update thread on DCP, seeing updates from heaps of my favourite fics all smooshed up together. I think it's coz I experienced most of the fics I've come to think of as legendary in such a linear and complete way, catching up on them years after they were done, that it gives me such joy to see how they came together piece by piece, alongside each other. It's like reading primary source documents from ancient empires; it takes what can only be thought of as something from a time before now and contextualises it in a way that makes it entirely extant and accessible.

Basically, I love to do nerdy things.
