**mufin: Welcome to the new board!!! Glad to see you over here *G* And I'm glad you like the turbulence, because, well ... it gets worse. I'm kind of mean like that.

**Scout: Yeah, I like a dark edge on Tara, too ... but "little" ...? That's some pretty major bad sitting there just ... waiting ...

**wiccachica: You like that? *G* Good - glad I could amuse you. Please say hello to your whippet-like interns for me - and convey my apologies for startling them.

**LeatherQueen: Oh, damn ... have I been posting regularly? I didn't know I was on a schedule! Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn!

**wiccachica: I honestly wasn't kidding about the research ... I doubt I'll have anything posted tonight *shrug* How about I save you with a daring rescue, swinging into the room on a rope with a knife between my teeth?

**daydreamer: I'm really glad you liked it ... and I hope I wasn't too heavy-handed with that point ... but I feel it's kind of an important one.

Ok not that i've gotten anywhere near the 10th page of this thread, but to find my way through to what parts i've read and what i havent read, i've decided to just read the whole thing over again. (not like it isnt worth reading way more than twice anyway) Just didnt want you (Sassette) to think i've abandoned you. :)

This is by far, one of the best fics I've ever had the pleasure to read. I can hardly contain my excitement when you post an update and as usual, I am never let down. I realize all good thing must come to an end but, does it really have to? Couldn't you just keep on writing like, FOREVER? You rock, beyond words!

more wow

Postby Owl » Wed Apr 03, 2002 6:34 am

Finally adding my "wow" to your stockpile, as have not commented on this bit. I'm a slacker smitten. noooo! What else can I say but wow? The quality of your writing is just so high. So.... don't worry about churning out the updates, because stuff like this is worth waiting for. Not only are Smittens capable of patinence, but we are also capable of entertaining ourselves....

jomarch... You got any cheers to encourage productive ...er... research?

Postby Sassette » Wed Apr 03, 2002 7:12 am

**Drakkenfyre: I'm sorry, but no update tonight ... I'm still making a few decisions and clearing up a few details before I can get to the good stuff *G*

**4WiccanLuv: Thank you *G* As for this story going on forever ... no story ever really ends, or some other bizarre-ass cliche like that. This one, however, has a natural resolution that I'm going to jump on. I won't, however, stop writing ... I have a few other ideas for something after this one, and a couple of ideas for some unrelated W/T stuff.

*waves at Yuri* Though Yuri's probably going to conk me upside the head if I start writing more fic after this one .... not that he thinks it's bad, but there's this other writing project I've been kicking around that he wants to see more of ;)

**Owl: Oooh ... that's a good point ... I open the floor to Smitten Self-Entertainment *G* And, ummm ... since when is 'Sappho' a verb? *G*

Sass...your avatar....so...hypnotic...I can't...look away...*Pixie's face slowly moves closer and closer to the screen, until suddenly her chin falls off her palm, setting in motion a Goldbergian chain of events. The jarring motion causes her to hit her funny bone on the edge of her desk, which causes her hand to slam back down, landing on the mouse, which just happens to click the "Add Reply" icon.* Whew! I'm free! And oww.

Ohhh, Owl, and nature and chocolate, oh my! *Pixie runs over, pulls off her top and lies face-down on the blanket.* Sappho me! Btw, tzatzkeh (sp?), check your inbox.

Sappho the verb.

What, you've never seen that in your fancy dictionary?

No, actually, I can't take any credit for that. Credit goes to the lovely, talented and linguistically productive Amber Benson herself.

When I first saw that scene from "Restless," I just had to know what the writing was. So I went digging around and found an interview in which Amber said something like, "It took [some guy] [impressive number greater than 2] hours to Sappho my back. So there you have it. Officially a verb. Arguably one of the best verbs in the English language.

*picks up brush, and turns happily to task of Sapphoing Pixie's back." (thanks for the message. reply soon) la la la...

Enjoying the second go round though, and will be joining you all here soon. (tomorrow maybe) :) But first must get to the snuggly, smoochie, make my toe hairs curl, chapter. :)

Not an update *G* But, you could have guessed that, huh?

**Pixie: Sorry, changed the avatar.... that was a temp until TX made one Just For Me - *shrug* She offered ... and she does good work. Have fun with the, umm ... sappho-ing.

**Owl: Oooohhhhh ... neat *G* I will never doubt that "sappho" is a verb again for as long as I live - thanks!

**TX: Heh ... have fun catching up - that's a heck of a lot of reading. And enjoy your snuggly, smoochie, make your toe hairs curl, chapter - because you know that's only in there because you threatened me *G*

**Puff: Now THAT is an excellent question. Will there be an update today? Well, the next one I have planned is going to be a LONG update, and it really won't work in parts - so I have to finish all of it. AND, I haven't started the actual writing part - I'm still 'information gathering'. If I had to bet my life on it, I'd guess not tonight. Hopefully, however, this next part will be worth the wait.

**Autumn: Well, I'm taking breaks to check this thread, stretch, and drinking LOTS of water. I should be fine.

Seriously, though ... I have several things planned for this next part - it's not any kind of big fic-shaking revelation or plot advancement ... just some nice things that I >really< gotta' read up on *G*

**Pixie: Ahh, good ... I'm really glad you like the new avatar - wouldn't want to disappoint you since you found the other one so fascinating ... and yeah, I got your email. You Rock!

**wiccachica: Oh, I certainly hope so. If this next part doesn't turn out like I want it to - if it flops - I'm going to spend at least a week in the Depths of Despair and will got no writing done whatsoever.

Personalized Avatars For the Smitten Kittens...

Postby TrueXena » Wed Apr 03, 2002 7:28 pm

I'm not in the biz to make myself more work than is necessary, but eh....I'm game for a day or two. :)

So since Xita hasn't contacted me to help out with posting fic on the board, I've still got 2 or 3 days of doing nothing. :(

What can I do with such time on my hands?

I could use up the last 10 days of this free trial offered program and get some personalized avatars done up for some of the "Smitten Kittens". :)

So here is the offer. You email me at truexena@columus.rr.com with an episode name and favorite scene from that ep, and I'll make you a personalized Avatar. (please give me an idea of which part of the episode that scene is in. ie..first 10 minutes, last 19 minutes, etc.)If you want it to say something in particular, please note that in the email as well. (otherwise your left with the nasty, twisted thoughts of TX, which isnt always the best thing if you know what i mean?)

I have to keep the frames down to a minimum, but I can work with pretty much anything. So send your emails to me with your requests. (please one avatar request per person, so everyone will have a chance to get one that wants one) If I find I've got more time on my hands than I thought, I'll offer up to do more per person later. ;)

I'll send the avatar (.gif) back to you through email and you can post it up on your own server to hotlink to. (sorry cant host them at the moment, as I cant figure out how to hotlink to my ftp server just yet)

So send those requests, and I'll do them up for ya. :)

And no I don't want you to stop writing FF, FFS*. I just want TL2 (becuase you have me hooked on it) or FS.

Unfortuantly, beleive it or not Sassett writes slowly...as there is usually a couple of months between projects.

No Sass, I believe you when you say you don't get 'some'. My problem is believing you didn't WANT 'some' in NYC!

*remembering fondly who you roomed with. mmmmmmm*

As for my mind and the gutter? When have you known it to NOT be in the gutter? Hell it gets mail there now!
