"I Enjoy Being a Boy" by the Banana Splits and "Austrailia's (yes, you read that right!) Queen of YodelingMary Schneider Yodeling the Classics".

Let's never speak of this again.

Dawson's Creek Soundtrack (Katie Holmes is my only defence)
Vanilla Ice
MMMbop
Others I can't actually remember

I used to make my barbies act out grease, all the time. My little sister wanted to play "lets make the one in the dress be called the evil prim and proper lady and have everyone else play sports", but I made them dance around singing "She's a real pussy wagon that greased lightning!"
Grease is such a dirty musical.

Grease II is horible in a hilarious way. I particularly like the song with the biology teacher, though.

Xita. It's ALL about the Tiffany love. ;)

*belts out "Could've Been" at the top of her lungs while accompanying herself on piano*

Heh. La la la.

Ok, first off--can't knock Amy Grant. She's a total hottie, even if she *is* a Christian pop singer and married to that doofus Vince Gill.

Secondly, re: Grease 2, no one should be surprised that the song I remember most clearly is..."Re...pro...duc-tion (reproduction!), put your pollen tube to work, Reproduction (reproduction!), make my stamen go beserk...where does the pollen go?"

And Xita & J-Ho: I know "I Think Were Alone Now" on the piano, how 'bout you? :p

Confession time: I have owned not one, but two Kenny G albums. I would defend myself by saying that they had guest singers like Toni Braxton on them, but really I know that's not a good excuse. *Hangs head in shame*

The less said about the Barbara Streisand albums the better...

I guess I'm a total geek, but I've never bought a single.

I did once buy a stairstepper machine through the mail, and it always made a very nice clothes rack after that.

But I really just popped in to congratulate Annecy on defending your dissertation. Woo and hoo! That is wonderful. I hope you've started celebrating!

Oh well, I may as well admit it, I also own the Dawson's Creek soundtrack, and an Ally McBeal one. I've also been known to play the Top Gun soundtrack not so very long ago. I found an old cassette in my car and couldn't help it. I'm sorry.

Hey, I really can play "Could've Been"! We've really gotta have a Kitten sing-a-long one of these days. Preferably with drunken Ruth in attendance. ;)

And I'll fess up to loving Amy Grant, too. To the point where I get excited when I hear her on the radio at work. Hee. I have a ton of sheet music of her poppier stuff, too. "Heart In Motion" era. Bwahaha. Haven't listened to much of her more Christian gospel-y kinda stuff.

Sigh. Still with the missing of my piano. Even though I got to molest her last night with my usual bout of Tori worship. Heh.

was thinking about this the other night... and err i think the first album i bought was Michael Jackson's "Bad" album! Before then i had no allowance to buy anything, so i used to sit by the radio/cassette recorder on a sunday afternoon listening to the chart top 40 rundown waiting for a track i like - so then i could record it!

i am not proud of breaching copyright and stuff - but i was only a child - a geek child... hopefully a cute one!

I have to admit I too own a Kenny G CD, and what I am loathe to admit is yes I have a Michael Bolton one (it was a weak moment :) )!

s club 7 - yes, I too succumbed to one of their catchy tunes. "don't stop moving" is sitting in my "cd rack of shame" alongside Chumbawamba "tubthumping" and Brittany Spears "oops, I did it again".

And my tape collection in my car is worse. the lineup includes - Wham!, NKOTB, Jason Donovan, Tiffany, Mel & Kim, Alison Moyet...

I bought the Chumbawamba CD 5 years ago, and never listened through the whole thing until last month. I'd forgotten I had it. It's actually not that bad...some of the songs are quite catchy.

Does anyone remember "How Bizarre" by OMC? I made the mistake of buying the whole CD...*shakes head in shame* What a waste of $15.

[edited for typos...it's a thing]

oh, that OMC song - I'm glad I can say I never bought it, although I think I have it on a compilation CD somewhere.

but I do have a cool version of it - a take-off of it called "stole my car" - you can find it here

What! first Kylie was bad and now S Club, eh?

But no self respecting club would be the same without playing their music.

Zoe runs off trying to hid the fact that she has tickets to see them in the spring:whistle

Alexis, if you'd like a copy of that MJ album, just let me know hon :)
