Well its July 1st and that means that its Canadas birthday, 136 years old, and still looking mighty sexah ;)

[img:058038cfd2]http://www.uniquehardware.co.uk/server-smilies/otn/party/birthday.gif[/img:058038cfd2] [img:058038cfd2]http://216.40.201.38/ups/budaz/canadaf.gif[/img:058038cfd2]

As for the W/T question, if W/T were to take a trip to your country but they could only visit [b:058038cfd2] one[/b:058038cfd2] place (city, monument, natural wonder, etc...) what place would you tell them to visit?

Happy birthday to Canada! Do you have a President or are you stuck with a foreigner as your head of state like most of the other Commonwealth countries?

Willow and Tara - can come and stay at my place. Plenty of space and privacy in the 2nd bedroom.

[/quote:f3973177ae]
We have a Prime Minister, Jean Chretien, who was born in Quebec. Whether or not that's a good thing (that Chretien is the PM OR that he's from Shawinigan) should be discussed in another forum.

W/T? Jasper, Alberta, in the Rockie Mountains. Great scenery, and enough privacy for a romantic getaway.

What can I say? I have found honeymoon memories of the place.

Well I never wished a happy birthday to a country before, so there ya go:

Happy Canada day, kitties. And I would like to make Willow and Tara visit Stonehenge during the solstice. Just in case they could participate in any naked dancing...

I'd say that they would go canoeing in the Algonquin National Park. All of that outdoor stuff & being out in nature. All the water & the fun camping, just the two of them.... (& you know what!!)

Happy Canada Day!!! (why am I hearing the theme to the friendly giant?)

The second I saw the thread title, the Blame Canada song from South Park the Movie started running through my head. :grin

I'll pretend for a moment that my county is Korea and say that if Willow and Tara came here, they should go to Songnisan national park for a bit of hiking and/or camping. There's also some really peaceful Buddhist temples and shrines and hermitages and the sort they could relax at.

[/quote:8007d18ed7]
Yes, Her Majesty Liz Windsor is our technical head of state. Most of the time the Governor-General fills her shoes (a person appointed by the Prime Minister to look official at this stuff). We have a halfway interesting GG at the moment, Adrienne Clarkson was quite a media figure in decades past and she's giving the job a bit more flair than we're used to seeing.

What Canadian spot to I recommend to W/T? Well, there's the cheesy stuff up north, like the Big Goose in Wawa and the Big Nickel in Sudbury; there's all the cliche'd natural beauty in name-your-favourite-province-or-territory; or there's the fun urban life of Toronto (or Montreal, or Vancouver). I guess I'd recommend Toronto, 'cuz then I might bump into them. :D

Oh I'd definitely recommend the "Mounds of Macclesfield".

Oh wait...that's not a place, heh heh. That's just...

Anyway. Ahem. I dunno, probably somewhere like Chester as that's got lots of historical "things". And a nice walk around the city walls as well. :)

And yes, Happy Canada Day. It's so cute, little baby Canada. Must visit there one day, what with it being in the Commonwealth and all...hey, Brian, I don't suppose you're coming over for the Games at the end of July are you? I thought that perhaps you and I could do a bi-country Bitterness Throwing contest or something... ;)

It's raining here today. I'm assuming that this is the beginning of a long and beautiful summer month. Heh.

Well Ruth, I think our combined bitterness would be too much and then we'd be accused of cheating, steroid use maybe? :lol

Happy Canada Day, everyone!!! :bounce :bounce :bounce

Just a drive-by post for me today. I'm on my uncle's computer in Kalamazoo MI. Looks like everything's still going all right around here. I'll catch up on the posts when I get home in a couple of days.

So far the trip is going well. I even survived sharing a hotel room with my parents. :shock :eek :shock :eek Time to go see my grandfather now, on his 90th birthday.

Have a great day, everyone! :grin

Happy Birthday Canada and I hope this means all the Canadian Kittens have the day off to celebrate! :)

I would send Willow and Tara on a 14-day tour of Colorado in which they would explore the state's beautiful mountains and forests riding on horseback, kayaking or cycling by day and enjoy refreshing pitchers of micro-brewed ales by night. Of course, being from California, they could easily get lost unless a selfless kitten were to accompany them as their guide and mentor. . . ;)

Happy Canada Day!! Remember all you Canadian kitties, today may be a holiday but tomorrow isn't. So early morning drinking is the way to go.

As for the W/T question, well being from Nova Scotia I would recommend Halifax (great little city with super friendly people), or any number of salty, seaside villages for a quiet getaway.

Happy Canada Day!

July seems to be the month of national celebrations! (1, 4, 14, probably others that I'm too ignorant to know of.)

And where to visit in my country? Hmmm...

If we go back in time, I'd say the old city in Jerusalem, two years ago. It is so fascinating.

I wouldn't recommend them to go now, though.

Happy Canada Day to all the Canadian kitties!

Well, the bad news is, it is Monday. The good news is, I only have to work three days til I get another day off! *laugh*

Well, if Willow and Tara came to Oregon, they should go see Multnomah Falls and the rest of the Waterfall route. It is truly a beautiful sight.

Have a great day, all! :)

Happy Birthday Canada! Being part French Canadian I feel compelled to wish you a very glorsious day Kittens.

If Willow and Tara were to go anywhere in my country I would send them to Provence Town (I'm not sure if that is the right town) So that they wouldn't have to be shy and could hold hands and be all cute and cuddly in public.

I thought that while I was at this Theology seminar that i wouldn't be able to get to a computer, but they encourage us to go to the computer lab. I'm SOOOOO excited.

*giddy*
Goddbye everyone, I hope to be able to pop in a few times over the next two weeks.

Happy birthday Canada. I live on the other side of the river, and weve already had our Canada Day Independence Day Freedom Festival fireworks last week. I have no idea why they have the fireworks in June. It seems kind of strange, but

I think Willow and Tara should visit Niagara Falls. It claims to be the honeymoon capital of the world, after all.

Happy B Day Canada..

and as for the WT question of the day for my town?
Well, first I'd take them to a magick/herbal store [ this is pre magick addiction willow without all the season 6 bull]

then we'd go down to boystown on halsted/belmont area where they'd look at clothes at the local thrift store, and get drinks at a few lesbian bars and dance clubs.

if anyone is interested in the store I'd take them too, it's in Evanston IL and the link is www.kamala.com
they also do shipping!

Hey [b:793315c6bd] Wiccansillusion[/b:793315c6bd], your choice of a place to send W/T brought me a great big happy! :grin I used to live near Belmont & Halsted (Seminary & Barry) and have many fond memories of the restaurants, bars and clubs in the area. We used to plot out elaborate bar/club itinararies based on the closing times and based on which ones had "after-hours underground hours" that ensured that we could always be in a club drinking no matter the time of day or night. [i:793315c6bd] Days[/i:793315c6bd] would slip by without any of us noticing or wanting to go home. What a great place to be old enough, yet young enough, to really enjoy it!

Chicago [i:793315c6bd] is[/i:793315c6bd] a toddlin' town! I think Willow and Tara would have much fun as they're at the perfect age to get the most out of it (or at least at the same age I was when I lived there).

Happy Canada Day kitties, and fellow Canadians! Alas, I had to work today, but I'll still be able to catch the fireworks tonight. I love Canada Day, I am just so darn proud of our country.

If the girls were to visit here, I'd send them all over the place. First off though I'd have them meet my kitties, Merlyn and Salem, and then probably send them on a provincal tour, and be their escort, of course. I'd have to make sure they didn't tire themselves out with too much travel for smoochies.

Tobermory, Ontario, and Manitoulin Island, ON, would be the first places I'd send them for sure.

Have a great day all!

bloody hell, even Canada is older than Australia.

oh, wait, that means we are a young hip happening place . . . actually I am living in HK and they had their 5th anniversary of the handover yesterday, although of course unless you were important you couldnt actually go to the ceremony. But at least it was a holiday.

In Australia W/T should go to the beach. Any beach, they are all good in Australia. I appreciate neither are probably beach babes and red hair and beaches dont mix, but for some reason I have this picture of a Tara in a bikini, hair up, sunnies, zinc on the nose
