It's a Truly and Forever Weekend, MKF

There's no way I could pick a single moment of W/T goodness. Even the angst, the times they disagreed or had conflict, I'll cherish that. Because that's part of their history (and part of what real relationships are like).

As for what Willow will keep with her, I imagine many of the moments she will cherish most are ones we never got to see. Their first kiss, the first time they made love, etc.

I cannot even imagine Willow's grief. Losing Tara so many times and being blessed with Tara's return each time. And now this. (I'm still so bitter about that, I'm not even going to go there now.) :mad

In other news, full of off-topicky goodness: Today was a wonderful, warm, bright, clear day. The scent of flowers fills the air. (Quit mocking me, it [i:9715a1f740] does[/i:9715a1f740].) I had a frappuccino and those make me pathetically happy.

But work was weird. We had a customer who insisted that her peptic ulcer was causing her brain to grow and that was giving her headaches. :spin But at least she wasn't like the woman who insisted that she had contracted paranoia from her neighbor, or the [i:9715a1f740] man[/i:9715a1f740] with kidney stones who was in pain because he said he had a stone stuck in his [i:9715a1f740] uterus[/i:9715a1f740], or the man who threatened to cut off the hands of anyone who touched the items he was buying. I won't even mention the people with the boils. :eek

What hell dimension spawned [i:9715a1f740] retail[/i:9715a1f740]? :evil

Another great moment was in "Who are you" when Tara is explaining the Flaming O spell and Willow tells her that she trusts her. She has this amazing look of love on her face when she says the second "I trust you". Got to love Aly eyes.

Edited to add: I agree with all the comments regarding the metaphor sex that W/T were having (Flaming O and all that) but I'm not convinced that they were having non-metaphor sex at that stage. Personally, I vote for non-metaphor sex every time.

I seem to have missed this DVD-commentary business about WAY's flaming O being their first time... yes, a case can be made, but I stick with the night of TIIT.

Also one of my favourite moments, that. Short but oh so sweet. I also loved all of Family, [i:141b7f60dd] Under Your Spell[/i:141b7f60dd], and lots more too...

Yeah there is a download here

I think TIIT probably had some rather intimate kissing.. who knows. Well let me listen again... he said, "it was designed specifically to be their first sex scene", this about the flaming O. So this settles the NMR debate if any were in doubt but it does not make it clear if it is their first sex scene on screen or off screen as well, so you can still say sex in TIIT!

i've been in and out of the board lately...busy busy busy...but i was caught up in this thread...:)

for me, i have to go with the hospital scene in TL..."Is she your sister?" "She's my everything" That, and for a more action oriented one, Tara's axing in Bargaining..."No one messes with my girl"

The defining moment for me is:

Tara : I am you know.
Willow : What?
Tara : Yours.

Oh God! :love

Um...I think every moment of W/T goodness defines their relationship for me ;) .

I'll have to agree that those prominent right now are the flaming o spell (damn, the room's getting hot just thinking about it), and the last few minutes of family. I have family recorded on like 3 different tapes, one of which my gf records her soap operas on after the ep. Every evening, when she watches her soaps, I make her rewind the tape far enough to see the whole "she's family" and floating W/T deal. :-)

Hm... well, while significant moments are all well and good, I'm a sucker for what I call "couple-cuteness", which is what happens when a couple in the first happy little stage is together, in the same room. So... just little things. Any of them. (Oh, I feel so descriptive).

For me there are different moments that define different aspects of Willow and Tara's relationship but I guess the 3 key moments are ones other people have mentioned. In Family first the scene where Tara's father tells them that she is part demon and Tara initially agrees to go back home. Seeing the devastation of each at the thought of losing each other and then Willow knowing it's Tara's decision but fighting to keep her, forcing her to admit she doesn't want to leave, that the love and trust between them is real. Later at the Bronze, Willow purposefully claiming Tara for a dance, the dance and every single line of their conversation - you can just see their shared love, respect and intimacy and how happy they make each other.

I'd also go with what we see of their relationship in ' The Body ' . Tara's compassion and support for Willow in her distress, how much Willow depends on Tara and their deep love for each other. And I too would go with the applesauce scene in Tough Love when Willow makes it clear that even if Tara is never cured she will always look after her because, ' She's my girl. '

For Willow I'd imagine she'd particularly remember all the key moments in the development of their relationship that others have mentioned, especially any where Tara made clear her feelings toward her. So Tara telling her she was special, the first gift of the Doll's Eye crystal and the events leading up to this, Tara saying, ' I am you know. Yours' . Plus all their shared spells, especially the Flaming O spell and their night together after she chose Tara over Oz.

I also think she'd hold on to all the everyday moments of shared intimacy; laughing together at Tara's insect reflection joke, playing with Miss Kitty Fantastico, all those months living together as a family with Dawn. Every time she looks at the stars she'll remember Tara's names for the constellations. I imagine initially she'd have mixed feelings remembering their final moments together but in time would hold onto the memory of Tara's ' Can you just be kissing me? ' and the night and morning that followed. Above all she'd take forward memories of Tara's belief in her, Tara's obvious delight in her, Tara's love for her and the deep bond she shared with her soulmate.

L.A. By Night is currently recruiting for our Buffyverse RPG, The game is not a conventional RPG as it is more of an interactive story created by the players and their characters. The game is quite simple to play one character makes a post detailing the actions of their character, other characters reply with the actions of their character and it continues as such createing an interactive story.

The setting of the game is L.A. in 2010 after buffy, the scobbys, angel and his team have all "passed on". This is to allow the characters to create a fresh perspective on the buffy universe and allow a little more freedome with characters and villians.

Just checking in. I have been away all weekend and was going through Kitten Board withdrawl.
My favorite moment always has been and always will be "Willowhand". Such a small line but the way Tara says it and the cute little half smile are just too much for me! :)

In the light of much Season 4 goodness, I have to say, the whole conversation over the doll's eye crystal just makes me squirm in a really good way. Heh. ;)

Well, just got back in town after a couple of weeks away, and while it was a *wonderful* trip (went to Hawaii for the first time) I'm very happy to be home. And of course, what's the first thing I have to do? Check the Kitten ;)

So, humm... what moments will I always remember as definitive W/T? "I am, you know? Yours...". Pretty much all of Tough Love- so many wonderful bits (some horrifying ones, too... but at least with that storyline the payoff was well worth it) The end of Family, with the dancing and closeness. The good parts of Seeing Red. The end of Entropy. The Kiss from The Body. Lots and lots of wonderful W/T stuff, and despite the way things ended, they can't take that away from me! :D

I read your post three times before I got it, Autumn. I was like, what the....ooooh! I get it!

I'm so stupid. I blame it on the pain I've had in my lower gum all today. See, I went on this new diet three days ago and quite honestly it's killing me. Well, not killing me of course, because you know, I could shed the weight of three small elephants and not be in danger of malnutrition. I mean, I've heard that seals can live off their own blubber for six months, so that pretty much does me for the next ten years...

I digress. No. I've had pain. I think my teeth are going to fall out. And how friggin' stupid will that look? Darnit.

And all this before I even get the chance to do a streak on live tv. Bah.
