As you can see this is my first post on the board :p Just want to say a big Thank You to Xita for letting my girlfriend (DaNzs) and me join this forum. We're both pretty shy and have been lurkers on the board for a while now. :shy

Thank you! :)

I really appreciate the opportunity of being here, even though I don't post much anymore. Thank you.

Now, I'm all for spoilers. Spoil me with spoilers! :) Do you know when I'm going to watch the new episodes? March! It's ludicrous, isn't it? I already have an idea of Willow's state of mind of course... Hoping to see her a little better (don't have any idea of how that's possible, still...).

Really thanks.

Hello Ms. Xita and the Mods:

I didn't know if this was the right thread to do this, but I just wanted to thank you for allowing me access to the Season 7 board. I really appreciate it.

You guys rock! ^_^

Thanks again.

Let me chime in with another thankyou to Xita and all the other mods who work hard to make all Kittens, even us shy lurky-types, feel welcome with our favorite girls. Thankyou again Xita for creating this new board!

Another round of thanks to those who allowed this forum to exist. Although I do have a question. When I tried to just click myself in, I got the 'You have to be a member' page and freaked thinking I had been denied entry. Then I re-read the part about having to login, so I did (into ezboard itself) then did the click thing again and got thru. So now comes the question: Will I have to login to ezboard every time just to get into this forum? I've been able to access "The Kitten" w/o logging in, but I forgot how I accomplished that.

Hate to sound stupid, but then that hasn't stopped me before.

Yep, you need to be logged in to EZ Board every time you want to view this forum.

The Kitten itself is not a private forum so you can read it without having to be logged in. This is a private forum. You all are a lucky bunch who made the list and have access. :)

Just adding my own thanks. The Kittens have been a wonderfully welcome island in the electronic sea.

Another belated thank-you. I came to the Kitten initially because I couldn't believe my eyes at the spoilers I was reading... I can't imagine what I would have felt after the finale had I not been prepared here at the Kitten. I was neutral about W/T until "Family", when I fell head over heels for Tara (who wouldn't?) She's just so cute with that magic dust/blowing thing, and the lopsided smile at the end...

Plus, I have found the most intelligent BTVS discussion that I've come across on this board. Most of the other boards are tiresome at best, moronic at worst. Whereas the Lesbian Cliche FAQ alone is a work of art, not to mention Bob's essays and all the great fics at Pens and all the other super stuff. :)

All of which is a long-winded way of saying thanks. Y'all didn't have to set this board up for us, much less give the newbies a chance, and we really appreciate it.

Hee.

I just noticed the new "Tara and Willow rule, Joss and Buffy drool" tagline at the top of the season seven forum.

I love it. Big love. Naked Wiccan love.

:laugh well I am sure Joss Whedon would appreciate it, on so many levels he never moved past 5 years old.

At least now there can be no doubt that we are not here for the love of BtVS, it's about WT, our beloved couple who were destroyed and who are now ignored.

Clarification

Postby xita » Tue Oct 08, 2002 7:47 pm

I thought long and hard about this. Obviously this might be the one place where people would be unhappy about a potential gf or whatever. But also I know that I wouldn't want any potential new gf to be bashed here because that's against the FAQ and not cool. But I certainly didn't want anyone telling me well how cool Willow's still gay.

So, I chose the words carefully and said there would be no advocating w/other on this board. That gives us room to say "hey that's not cool," "I really don't like that at all," and if people cooperated by NOT saying , "that stupid little bitch" or something like that about the new gf, we could work this out. That does however mean we can't speculate on how "cute it would be", how "it might just work out if this or that" or "I really don't mind it" or "that girl could be good for Willow."

That is what I am thinking in terms of this situation and how I would moderate here.

hi xita,

I know I don't post here on the S7 board much, but I wanted to both add my thanks to you for making it happen, and keeping it so respectful. it has recently been on the tip of my tongue to ask the question you just addressed-- what the guidelines will be for when willow's new girlfriend comes to town. I thought what you said was very intelligent and, again, respectful, both of the kitten and the outer-lesbian world. but...I can't help wondering...does this mean, we can say we don't like it (in a nice way), but we can't say, "gee, it's nice to see willow not in agony anymore"?

please don't get me wrong, because I am not trying to advocate willow "getting over" tara...I haven't gotten over tara, and I don't plan on ever trying to. it's just that, I keep thinking of my very good friend whose husband died a couple of years ago, very suddenly...she never expected or intended to love again. but then, recently, it just happened. and that worry that she'd had, that she'd feel (or the kids would) that it was a betrayal-- it just fell away. it could never be that. we still speak of rob almost daily, and I can't imagine this ever changing.

I don't know where I'm trying to go with this. only that I love willow, and I don't want be a bad guy for feeling glad when her agony is lessened. what do you think?

WILLOW: Why is it always the end of the world? Couldn't it be the end of cheese or something?

This isn't reality first of all and it's only been a few months. We have to keep that in mind. Second, you can think that , just not here.

.does this mean, we can say we don't like it (in a nice way), but we can't say, "gee, it's nice to see willow not in agony anymore"?

That's exactly what it means.

Xita,

I just wanted to say thanks for keeping this board W/T focused. I just can't believe that they might introduce another girlfriend for Willow. Sometimes people do move on in their life but it takes a lot longer than a few months. And, yes, this is not a real life but some things should be the same.

So, thanks again.
