Well, Kieli, what I do is use Adobe Photoshop to manipulate images, although I understand Paint or Painter can do the same, along with Adobe Photoimpact.

BTW, I also use this to create my vampire gallery at http://vampires.freehosting.net (and please forgive the shameless plug).

My advice would be to get a graphics program, start copying stuff from the web and then begin to play.

Thanks for the response, Zah. I already have Photoshop 5.0 and Fireworks 3.0 but I just can't seem to get things to work like I want. Do you use a lot of layers to get the effects you want for wallpapers?
