The Beginning is taken from Season 6's "All The Way" written by Steven S. Deknight.
The Rest is AU
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part I: The Fight

Willow stares at Tara, hopelessly thinking about the fight they had at the bronze.

“I’m – I’m Sorry, Okay?” Willow said hoping Tara would forgive her.

Tara was roughly picking up pillows and setting them down, opening her side of the bed to climb in. “It’s not that easy!!” she roughly said.

Willow was partly stunned and very unsettled. She couldn’t bear to lose Tara. “Well, what do you want me to do? Reverse time and take it back ‘cause I could probably –“ She stops herself, “ A joke. I don’t think I could really ---

Tara was tired and upset and didn’t want to hear anymore. “You know what? Could we not talk about this now?”

Willow gave up talking. She wasn’t going to tell Tara, but she wasn’t going to back down. If only Tara knew what she was feeling
Willow waited until Tara was asleep and then magically transports their bed to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.

This sounds interesting. Definently one of the wierder ideas I've seen for a story but it sounds good. plus any story when Willow doesn't mess up and mess with Taras memmory is nice.

I won't make you wait too long. Buffy and Mister Rogers don't connect usually, but I wanted a little change: Willow not messing with Tara's mind, was simply because I felt they both needed something nicer - plus the reference to Mister Rogers in "Gingerbread" (3.11) and both shows are favorites

Here's the update.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It would be very strange for Tara now, but Willow felt that if the two could not express feelings with each other, the relationship might crumble.

The Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. As she closed her eyes, Willow hoped that the residents who lived here could help them before their chances were no more.

Night passed on, and soon it was morning. The two witches found themselves in an area al least one of them would fail to recognize. The bed had been magically placed near the Museum-Go-Round, and would be surprise to everyone involved.

Willow opened her eyes and smiled to herself. She was certain that the residents, who she remembered as kind and gentle, would help mend their friendship. Tara opened her eyes and was extremely concerned.
“Willow, where are we? I don’t recognize anything around here” Tara said, “What happened?”

Willow tried to answer Tara’s question, but fear stuck on her mind. If this bothered Tara, she might leave after. Finally, she said, “I have transported us to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.”

“What? I am not following you. What was this called again?” asked Tara

As Willow and Tara spoke, they did not notice the curious eyes of Lady Elaine Fairchilde, whose museum their bed was sitting in front of.

“Who in the world are you, Toots?” She called out excitedly.

Tara and Willow turned their heads to the voice; Tara being startled by the voice that she did not know. They got out of bed, discovering that their clothes had changed instantly from nightgowns to regular outfits.

Willow was a little panicked, “S-Sorry about the bed. We’ll move it.”
“How, Willow?” Tara asked, “That bed is too hard to move with our hands.”

I have most of it written already - at least - that is, the beginning. I am trying to get all the characters' personalities right - Willow, Tara and and the puppet characters, of which I will introduce more as the story continues. ;-)

Lady Elaine had a helpful idea. “You needn’t bother moving it if it is too hard. Let me help. Hand me that boomerang sitting by the door ringer.”

Tara was curious. “This? Hmm, all right. You want me to set it set in your hand?” She gently placed the boomerang into the puppet’s hand, wondering what her plans were.

“With a few magic words, this bed will be stored in my museum until you need it again.” Lady Elaine explained.

“M-magic w-words?” Tara asked, her expression turning to a frown, “What magic words?”

Lady Elaine did not answer, but lifted her boomerang to proper height. “Boomerang, Toomerang, Soomerang!” Within a few minutes, the heavy bed evaporated into thin air.

I wonder what Willow is thinking, Tara thought, if I told her not to get an idea from this interesting woman, she would probably scold me. I will try, though. I do not want her to lose herself.

Willow was surprised by Tara’s sudden touch. “Willow, please don’t try anything.”

Willow looked at Tara, fiercely loyal, but unhappy. “You don’t trust me. YOU, of all people, I love you. I care about you, but if you feel you can’t talk to me, feel free to talk to the neighbors right now, because I would rather see your trust than your disapproval.”

Tara thought sadly about her friend: Willow, you think I do not trust you. That is not it. I’m worried. I am upset. I love you, too.

Lady Elaine had noticed the fight, but had not said anything about it. “I had better contact the castle, better yet, Queen Sara. Friday doesn’t like me calling him personally in the morning. I am supposed to call when we have guests. Hang on, dears.”

Lady Elaine went into the museum and grabbed the wind-up phone, but struggled lifting it. Willow automatically helped her, not thinking about it in the process.

“Thank you, uh—“Lady Elaine stammered, realizing the two girls were strangers to her.

“I’m sorry. I’m Willow, and that’s Tara,” Willow said pointing to her blond companion, who seemed distant.

“Well, Pleasure to meet you”, Lady Elaine started, and then whispered to Willow,” What is concerning your friend? She seems bothered by something.”

lol. This story is awsome. I was really wondering if you could pull it off. I mean this has got to be one of the hardest stories to do. A mix of Mister Rogers Neighborhood and Willow & Tara. Good Job. :-D :clap

It is somewhat difficult because of the age gap of the shows, but one of the things that interested me was I felt Willow's nature reminded much of Lady Elaine. Willow's willful, independent, and Lady Elaine is much the same. She gets angry really easy. Willow's magic abuse I felt was her cry for being noticed, and the question of "Am I lovable without all the bells and whistles?"

“Oh, it’s nothing.” Said Willow, cheerfully, who did not notice Tara tearfully looking at her.

“Hmm… Well, Can you wind the phone up for me please?” Lady Elaine asked, not impressed that Willow neglected to notice Tara’s tears.

“Why is she grumpy with me?” Willow thought, "She doesn’t know about my fight with Tara. She is one snoopy lady!”

“Hello, Sara. I wanted to let you know that we will be at the castle shortly… Oh, you and Friday will meet us there… Yes. Willow Rosenberg and Tara Maclay. See you then. Bye.”

Lady Elaine turned to the guests. “Okay, we’re ready. Let us hold hands and we will head to the castle. “To the Castle: The Purple Way.”

Within a few moments’ time, the trio arrived at the castle. Lady Elaine had explained King Friday’s procedure to the pair before they departed.

At the castle, King Friday & Queen Sara were patiently waiting. “Welcome, Royal Guests and Fairchilde, I presume?”

"Friday, Stop a moment. please." Queen Sara said, noticing Tara.

“Come inside, Dear. I can sense you’re upset about something – Would you like to talk about it?”

Here is another update
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I d-don’t k-know y-you, b-but, thank you, I’d l-like t-to.” Tara timidly responded, looking at the queen with a hopeful look.

Tara entered the castle through the large entrance. She met Queen Sara in the “D” room.

“What was bothering you out there, Dear? You seem very sad.”

“I am very concerned for my friend, Willow. I fear she is overusing magic.”

Would the queen understand ‘magic’ or would it be foreign to her? Tara was not sure, but she did seem to understand the word.

“Using magic?” replied the queen, “She sounds much like our Lady Elaine. Does she fear without the magic that you will stop loving her?”

“Let me call Friday, and talk to him.” Queen Sara communicated. Tara had found the phone and wound it for Queen Sara.

Meanwhile, Lady Elaine had left the castle garden, and returned home. King Friday and Willow were discussing something when the phone in the castle garden.

“Could you please answer that?” King Friday asked Willow.

“Sure” Willow replied.

It was Queen Sara. “It’s for you, sir.” Willow responded

Willow held the phone while King Friday talked, “Yes... Oh, she did. Good idea, I will discuss it with her.”

Willow hung up the phone. “Queen Sara just told me she talked to your friend about her feelings relating to your recent fight.” King Friday explained. Willow’s self-esteem seemed to plummet when she discovered the two monarchs knew her secret.

“Queen Sara discussed it with Tara, and she agreed that you should stay here for a short time.” King Friday respectively said.

Willow aimed her tearfully puppy dog eyes at King Friday, but to no avail. “I believe you would be a good friend to our resident shy tiger. That is just a suggestion for the duration of your stay. Farewell.”

I hope that will help Willow thru her addiction starting.. :sigh

I am adding updates as I figure out what ideas will mix the two worlds and allow Willow and Tara a decent understanding of what helps the relationship. I certainly got the idea based off the idea that the MRN characters helped one another with the problems that occured. That is, what I think was what went missing from the "real" story - not a lack of love, but a lack of understanding.

New update is here. A little spoiler that it is a little bit sad,
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just then, Queen Sara returned with Tara, “Before you leave my dear, Cornflake S. Pecially has devices that may come in handy for the both of you.” She stated, seeing Willow’s reaction to the idea of “splitting up”. “Meet me over at the factory.”

Willow and Tara turned around, ducked under the trolley track and headed to the Rockit factory. Once there, Queen Sara and Cornflake S. Pecially greeted them.

“Welcome to my factory, friends.” The rocking-chair inventor greeted them warmly, pointing to two human size “small” mailbox devices nearby the factory. They were small enough to set on a medium-sized bed. The boxes had two lights – a green light with the words “Mail Received” – and the other red with the words “Mail Sent”- on the front. On the right side was a crank.

“Queen Sara told me that during your separation, she wanted you to be able to contact one another by letters.” The inventor explained, “I have here two mail-boxes that will aid you. These are special. Willow, since you are staying here for a short while, you normally would not be able to contact the real world.” Corny held out three different colored pens – Red, Green, and Blue. “All you have to do is write your name, your location and your friend’s name and location on the envelope and set the letter inside and wind it up. It will not work right now, but I will allow you both a try. Choose a pen color.”

Willow chose the green pen and Tara chose the blue pen.

Corny gave each girl an envelope, and each tried out the boxes.
Willow wrote:
“To: Tara, Bedroom
From Willow, Neighborhood of Make-Believe”

Tara wrote:
“To: Willow, Neighborhood of Make-Believe
From: Tara, Bedroom”

“You are welcome to take one mailbox home, Tara.” Corny said.

“Are you ready to leave, my dear?” Queen Sara asked politely.

“I am, I just need to get the bed from Lady Elaine,” She said, tearfully, holding the small mailbox in her arms.

Willow tearfully was silent, then finally able to speak “Good Luck, Baby.”

“T-thank Y-you, W-willow.” Tara replied.

Tara walked over to the Museum-Go-Round, and rang the bell.

“Oh, it’s you!” Lady Elaine said happily. Once she discovered why Tara was visiting, she changed her tone. “So, you’re leaving without your friend. Well, Hang on.” She had Tara help her with the boomerang and magically made the bed reappear. “I can’t send you back to your world, but I have some devices that will. These can transport you here and back home, and visa versa. ”

She pulled out long whistles, much like a conductor’s whistle. They were silver with a red string. “How many do you want, I have an indefinite amount of them.”

Tara Thought: There is Dawn, Willow, Xander, Buffy, and I.

“Five, Lady Elaine. Thank you.” Tara replied

“You want five whistles? There you go, Toots. It was nice meeting you. Good-bye.”

Tara got onto the bed, set the mailbox on the bed, and prepared to leave. She put four whistles in her pocket, and kept hers out for use. She put her lips to the whistle and blew gently. The whistle was musical, and as she blew, she slowly faded away into sparkles.

Re: New Fic - Help From A Magical Neighborhood

Postby Pinocchio1940 » Fri Jun 30, 2006 4:25 pm

It's been a while since I posted, but here is the next part.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Willow walked back to the castle, not sure what to do now.

“Queen Sara, can you tell me who lives in each of these buildings?” she asked,” I guess I’ll have to get used to this.”

“Sure my friend, besides meeting Corny and Lady Elaine, Grandpere lives in that tower to your left, Daniel Tiger lives in the clock, Dr. Bill, Elsie-Jean and their daughter, Ana live in the mound. X the Owl and his friend, Henrietta Pussycat lives in that tree, and you will soon meet my son, Prince Tuesday. I will let Friday know that you would like to meet our neighbors. Farewell, my dear. “

Meanwhile, back in Sunnydale, Tara reacquainted herself with the room she shared with Willow. The bed was back in place where it belonged. She set the mailbox on the floor and put the whistles in a drawer to hide them from Dawn. The light was on as Tara climbed into the empty bed. She missed Willow, but somehow this seemed as if it would go smoothly. She turned the light off and went to sleep.

The sun was shining, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. In the castle, the king was talking to Willow:

“You wish to meet our neighbors? Well, I could arrange something.” The king was pleased, to introduce his neighborhood. He called everyone on the telephone. “Yes, this is King Friday. I wonder if you could meet at the castle. Oh. This is an opportunity to introduce you to our new guest.” He called everyone, but he seemed to miss Daniel Tiger. Willow wondered something. Queen Sara was nearby.

“Queen Sara, is it possible to meet Prince Tuesday?” Willow asked the queen. “Not right now, Willow. He must get ready for school.” Queen Sara replied. “Would you mind checking on Daniel Tiger?” asked the queen, “I think he may want someone to take him there. He has been so upset about it lately. “

“I can go check on him, Queen Sara, but I’m thinking he may be terrified by a stranger.” Willow said kindly.

“In that case, introduce yourself to him and talk to him a little. He’s very kind.” Queen Sara responded, leaving Willow starting to smile from ear-to-ear. Willow headed to the clock, confident that something might work nicely.

She arrived and rang the “knocker”. Daniel did appear and became startled by the unfamiliar face. “W-who are you?” He asked.

“I am sorry, Daniel. My name is Willow. I just am new here. Queen Sara asked me to help you get ready for school. She told me you were upset about something.” She told the timid tiger, looking at him thoughtfully.

“Lady Elaine has been telling us that we couldn’t go to school unless we learned all our subjects, and it’s bothering me because I can’t learn everything.” He left to get the cards Lady Elaine had ordered.

You seem to reflect my feelings, Daniel, Willow thought, you are worried that you will not be able to learn, and I feel like I cannot express my feelings. I love Tara, but it is hard to let it happen without magically changing things.

The tiger was back. “Here they are.” He replied, pointing at the white, plain-printed letters and numbers.

“You know, Daniel, I think if you take it slowly, you’ll enjoy learning. Meeting Lady Elaine for the first time, she seemed nice but with a stubborn streak.” Willow explained.

The tiger was pleased. “I know it’s the first time meeting each other, but I appreciate your understanding. It is very helpful. You seem very friendly.”

“Would you like me to help you get to school?” Willow asked, an endearing smile spreading on her face, as she lifted the shy tiger up out of the clock and into her arms.

Willow seemed to know where the school was. After all, she was the one who watched the show as a youngster. If she could remember locations, why did she have no familiarity with the characters? She was an adult whose memories had forgotten watching the show.

“Hi. Daniel, I was beginning to worry about you.” Harriet E. Cow said, seeing her student finally arrive.

“He was just a little upset. Lady Elaine apparently told him he had to study hard. Queen Sara told me to help him get here, but I was also concerned about his feelings.” Willow explained, before introducing herself to the teacher and students.

“How thoughtful of you: to assist Daniel with his feelings. Lady Elaine does sometimes make our lives difficult and I appreciate your kindness. I hope you will enjoy your stay here in the neighborhood.” The teacher replied.

This is cute!

I wonder how Mr. Rogers' land of make beieve will solve Willow's magic abuse?

Will Tara and Willow be able to communicate better through letters than in person?

Can Willow help Daniel Tiger learn?

...and is the kindly ghosty of Mr. Rogers himself floating around anywhere?

“What are you working on?” Willow curiously asked.

“King Friday has requested that we take you over to the castle for a “Welcoming” celebration. Would you like to help my students head over there, or at least follow the trolley school bus over?” The teacher asked.

“Why Sure. Hmm. I wasn’t expecting this.” Willow replied, gleefully surprised.

“Miss Cow, since we are going back to the castle, can Willow take me back?” Daniel asked, looking over at his new friend.

“Sure, Daniel. That sounds all right to me. We will meet you over there. Willow, is that fine with you?

Willow smiled with her eyes sparkling, “Certainly. I do not mind.” Daniel had still been in her arms.

I wonder what Tara would think of my new friends, Willow Thought; I never thought being here would change my opinion of myself. Assisting these characters is changing me although I do not know why yet.

Willow assisted Ana and Prince Tuesday into the trolley and followed its path; Ms. Cow traveling alongside her and Daniel.

It was not very long before the group reached the castle. The bus unloaded the students, and Corny was waiting for Willow.

“Willow, you have a message in your mailbox. It is over at my factory.” The inventor said. “Follow me.”

Willow followed the impish inventor to his factory. She removed the letter from the mailbox.

“There is one thing I forgot to mention.” The inventor said, pointing at the letter, “These are “talking” letters. You will actually hear the other person’s voice, full of the emotions that the letter might represent. Now just remember: Tara cannot hear you. It is like a pre-recorded message.”

The inventor left Willow, while she was clinging tightly to the letter. She did not want to let the characters overhear Tara speak, perhaps because she still wasn’t happy about their fight. Willow expected something rather harsh, but the letter voiced only sadness and hope.

“Dear Willow:

I just wanted to write to you, as it seems rather lonely here. Buffy and the gang miss seeing you, but they hope you are doing well. The cat seems to wonder where you are, but I do not believe I could explain that easily. I hope you are doing well, as I anxious to see you again. I will pick you up when it is time.

Love,
Tara”

Willow closed the letter, her emotions visible. It was apparent that she was tearful and anxious. Willow walked back to the castle, ready to make a request of Queen Sara.

Before I posted the next piece of the story (I am writing it on Word, so actually I am dividing it up here) I would like to say thank you to all who have read the tale. It has been very therapedic to actually resolve problems that Joss created for the two characters (in a kind way) and it has made me feel better.

Here is the update
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“May I speak to you privately?” She asked, thoughts roaring thru her mind.

The Queen noticed her emotions. “Of course, my dear. I will meet you inside.”

Once inside, the conversation started somewhat rough, but it soon evened out.
Willow had a specific question.

“Can you tell me why I was left here?” She asked, calmly.
“Yes. Your friend, Tara told us of your problem of your magic. Even though our fantasy world is different, I thought this might be trouble.” The Queen replied

“Trouble? How?” Willow asked, puzzled

“In our world, Lady Elaine often uses her magic to solve problems or sometimes to express her feelings, but she is quick to pick her own solution and often, it goes awry. She often needs to be reassured that she can talk about her feelings. I was feeling your issue might be the same problem.”

“How well you know me.” Willow said, uneasily, “I never thought anybody would discover that.”

“If it helps you, I would like you to know that your compassion really helps Daniel, and he doesn’t know anything about your skills. He just knows you.” The Queen said, leaving Willow surprised as she slowly smiled, her face bright red. “You have meant a lot.”

“I never thought about it. I just wanted things to be better with Tara.” Willow said, tears flowing

“I think we have a guest that can speak to you more firmly. More direct.” The Queen replied, changing her focus to a cardigan sweater and shoes sitting nearby, “Mister Rogers, you have a guest who needs your advice.”

A chair nearby started to move. The sweater and shoes took their correct position, and slowly Mister Rogers appeared.

“Hello. I hear you are having troubles. Do you wish to talk about it?” He asked, leaving Willow puzzled

“But I was talking to Queen Sara. Can’t she help me?” She asked

“The puppets can, but when a bigger problem is occurring, I help them out.” He said calmly, “According to Queen Sara, You are struggling to make life better.”

“Y-yes. I have had arguments with my friend because of an activity I do. She thinks I do it too much, and I just want to help people.

Mister Rogers did not understand specifics, but he provided this thought:
“Think of who you were before you had this ability, think of how you helped your friends just by being supportive, just being a friend. You do not need to mention them to me, just reassure yourself. I think you can.”

With that, the ghost disappeared, the clothes disappearing as well. It was as if he knew of this problem and simply waited.

“Queen Sara, thank you for your help.” Willow replied, as they left the room, “I feel much better now.”

“Do not give up. Try your best in life.” The Queen replied

Going back to the castle, Willow had guests waiting for her.

“Oh, there you are. I wondered where you went.” Daniel said, “I want you to meet some of my friends.”

X, Henrietta, Ana, and Prince Tuesday were nearby.

“Hey, how in the world are ya?” X greeted Willow, “Daniel has told us all about you.”

All of Daniel’s friends seem nice, Willow thought, Henrietta reminds of our kitten, except –

“Meow, Meow, Rosenberg, Meow.” Henrietta said

I wonder what mischief Little Miss Kitty would get into, having the ability to talk. {{Chuckle}}

“Hi. How are all of you?” Willow replied, noticing the excitement of the group.

“It’s nice to have new faces around here” X said, “I am glad you stopped by.”

“So I am.” Willow, “I have something I would like to do.”

“What?” Ana asked innocently.

Willow felt a smile come on as she decided to reveal her plans to the schoolchildren. “Write a letter to my friends back home. I think I mention what happened here today. I think Tara might be interested.”

“Excuse me, Willow, but who is Tara?” Ana asked

How can I tell them who she is? Willow Thought, maybe I will explain she is my best friend. Good Idea. {{Smile}}

“One of my best friends, Ana. She may visit later.” Willow said, kindly.

“Meow Tara visit meow meow Neighborhood of Make-Believe meow?” Henrietta asked

“Pretty soon, I am sure, Hen.” Willow answered.

“We better let my father know.” Prince Tuesday replied

“I will, Tuesday” Willow said, before being called by an angry voice, “Hey, Rosenberg! Over Here!”

“Lady Elaine.” Willow noticed, “I see you all later. Bye.”

Lady Elaine had become very grouchy that she had been forgotten about over the few days that passed.

“So, you have forgotten about me, eh?” she asked

“I-I guess. I’m sorry for that.” Willow apologized.

Lady Elaine seemed to mellow out now.

“Thanks, Toots! I was just wondering why you never visited. I suppose it has been exciting for you – I mean – in the Neighborhood. By the way, could you take some things over to Daniel for me?”

“Sure.” Willow said.

Lady Elaine went into her museum, and came out with colorful cards of the alphabet and numbers. “I guess if you’re trying to change for the better, I can too.”

Willow was surprised, but Lady Elaine explained herself. “I may be a grouch sometimes, but that doesn’t make me bad. You are trying to recover from using magic excessively, and so far, you have done great. Remember though: Value yourself and others. Magic may look like it can create ‘real’ worlds, but they cannot sustain forever. You cannot make life perfect. I have tried, myself, and you know how I succeed – not usually. I need reassurance many times.”

“I didn’t know you knew about my magic addiction, in fact, I am surprised. You are a puppet that was on a children’s show. Oh, I am babbling, aren’t I?” Willow stopped herself.

“I didn’t know why you came here, but I hope that being here helps you out. How do I know of your magic? I could not have known exactly, but how would you get here otherwise? No human from the real world can enter this fictional kingdom without it. Why, I have been waving this boomerang for the last thirty years, so don’t make the mistake of thinking that I couldn’t tell you use it.” Lady Elaine said impatiently before disappearing into the museum.

[i]Hmm I had better write to Tara right now. She will want to know how I am.[/i

]Corny had left a human-sized rocking chair by the mailbox for Willow to relax in while she used the mailbox.

“Dear Tara,

I received your letter and wanted to let you know that I am okay.
I have made many friends, some by the way wanted to know who you were.
I hope I will see you soon. Take care of yourself.
- Willow”

Back in Sunnydale, Tara received the letter rather quickly. Dawn happened to be in the room and was curious.

“I know Willow went somewhere, but where exactly?” She asked Tara, as the lights flashed on the mailbox.

“Oh, I can’t exactly tell you.” Tara said as she chuckled at the letter and thought to herself - Willow, you are having too much fun. I think I am going to visit and join in.

“Okay, I’m curious. What did she say?” Dawn asked excitedly.

“Enough to know she’d be interested to see us, Dawnie.” Tara said, “You’ll need to let Buffy know.”

Dawn was so excited over this idea; she left the room as fast as a roadrunner, complete with a giant grin on her face.

Wow, I have never seen her that excited before, but then she is always excited over us. Tara thought, smiling

Tara was right about that. Dawn immediate asked Buffy about Tara’s idea.

“You can go. I just wish I could go. Would you be interested in taking Xander?” Buffy asked

“I think he might be a little freaked. Tara has not explained this place, even to me yet. She just continues to keep it a happy secret.” Dawn explained

“OH! Really? Just take care of yourself, troublemaker!” Buffy Teased

HEY!” Dawn Shouted, Smiling, “We may be there a while.”

Dawn left the room, a gentle smile plastered on her face. She headed back to Tara.

I hope this is getting the kittens curious. ;-)

“I was thinking I should have a sleeping bag with me, except I don’t own one. Are we sure going into this isn’t going to create chaos?” Dawn wondered

“Oh, I know it won’t. I have been there before. Hmm… A sleeping bag? I imagine the magical place could provide one. Now…” Tara answered as removed three conductor whistles from the dresser. She turned to Dawn “Here. Put this around your neck. Don’t blow on it, yet.”

Dawn looked at the whistle curiously. “Now, if you were Willow, I’d be a little suspici-“ Dawn knew that Willow’s transformation had bothered Tara, so she stopped and said “I’m just anxious to see her, without the careless magic attitude.”

“I know you are. . You’ve been through a lot.” Tara said as she hugged Dawn, comforting her.

Tara had placed her whistle around her neck, while Dawn was busy waiting on the bed. “I’ve learned you don’t need sleepwear in this special place, your clothes will automatically change.” Tara was saying. While they were talking, a certain curious feline jumped on the bed and rested nearby. Tara noticed her, but she figured she would be welcome to go with them. “You ready?” Tara asked, picking up her whistle and putting to her lips. Dawn was ready, and as they blew, everything around them started to fade away. The kitten was undisturbed.

Meanwhile, Willow had been talking with King Friday.

“Certainly, she may come, but I do wish you could stay longer. You have been such a wonderful help. Please do think about that, won’t you?” he asked, a triumphant tone added to his voice.

“I shall, Sire.” Willow replied

“Well, then. Farewell” The king disappeared into the castle.

I should take the cards to Daniel. It is a joy to see him, but I miss my friends at home.

Willow walked over to Daniel’s clock and knocked. Daniel appeared.

“Lady Elaine requested that I give these to you.” She handed him the colorful cards.

“These are beautiful colors.” He stopped “Willow, What’s that?

“What?” Willow was towards Daniel, so she could not see the incoming light.

“That shiny, bright light!” Daniel responded. Willow turned towards it.

It was a little frightening at first, but as the object came into focus, she began to smile.

It was Tara and Dawn!

“TARA! DAWN! YOU’RE HERE!” Shouted Willow excitedly

“Yes. I am back. I had originally wanted to take you home, but considering the fun you were having, I decided it “wasn’t fair” and wanted to join in. Dawn joined, and the kitten fell asleep on the bed before we left, so I let her come with us.” Tara said, “And who is this friendly fellow? Tara asked, a half-smile beaming at the tiger.

Daniel was usually very shy, but Willow was nearby, and because she knew the guests, he was not afraid.

“Daniel S. Tiger, but I would just prefer “Daniel”.” Daniel replied.

“It’s a pleasure meeting you.” Tara said

“You, too.” Daniel said, “I think you should check in at the Castle.”

“Oops! I’ve been here a while and I forgot” Willow realized, “Would you like to come along?”

Being amongst a friendly group, the tiger did not hesitate. “Sure.”

Tara, very gently, lifted the shy tiger out of the clock. She reminded Dawn to get the kitten.

“We don’t want her to be frightened by us leaving her behind.” She explained.

Daniel could see the size of the kitten. “Especially since it’s very tiny, and it hasn’t met anybody yet.” Tara could only smile.

It wasn’t long before the group reached the castle. Edgar Cooke was out in the garden.

“ ♪How do you do?♪ ” Sang Edgar Cooke

“Very well. We wanted to check in with Queen Sara.” Tara replied, “Do you like singing?”

“♪ I enjoy it very well. It is such a fun thing to do that I speak this way too ♪” Sang Edgar Cooke

Edgar Cooke left to get Queen Sara. They were back quickly.

“It’s a pleasure to see you again, my dear.” Queen Sara said to Tara, “Who is this young lady?’ she asked of Dawn.

“Dawn Summers, Your Majesty.” Dawn replied

You do not have to remind me of who you are. I know the answer to that question. It is one of the nicer artificial memories I have. Dawn Thought

“Willow, now that you have been here for a while, when you help someone, think of you might do if that was Tara.” Willow had not expected that idea to come from the queen. “Friday tells me he wishes that you would be able to control your usage of magic before you leave for the final time.”

“You put yourself here, Willow. The only way you’ll get out of this is trying your best, and not overdoing your intentions.” Tara whispered sadly.

It's been a while. Here is the next part. :blush
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While they were talking, a familiar raspy voice shouted, “RATS! It just does not look right! Boomerang, Toomerang, Soomerang”

Lady Elaine, in her frustration and anger managed to turn Grandperé’s Eiffel Tower upside down, and she was in no mood to be spoken to. The loud noise that followed the topsy-turvy act startled everyone, but Willow felt the worst. To see its transformation made Willow back away like a frightened child. She was indeed, beside herself. “Y-you thought I could do that?” She whispered to Tara, looking as though she had been brain-sucked by Glory.

Tara was speechless. How can seeing something like this – OH, NO! Darn you, Maclay. You told her she was using too much magic. She was, I suppose, but seeing this, in an innocent world, is making her feel like she has no friends in the world.

Everyone could see Willow’s frantic breakdown, but Tara felt she had something to answer for. “Do you have a private room we can borrow?” She asked, “Willow and I need time alone.”

The queen directed them to a small room with a couch and red curtains. “I hope this works for you.” The queen said before leaving the room. Willow and Tara were alone. Willow was still frantic.

Tara hugged Willow gently, rubbing her back as she spoke:
“I should have never yelled at you. The magic addiction is not your fault.”

Willow was still frantic, but Tara’s gentle expression calmed her. “What do you mean?”

“Mr. Giles explained to me how your experience began. He told me you actually wanted to help Buffy resoul Angel, and that was your first steps into magic. I think as time has gone on, because we are in an often-deadly battle, you use your magic probably more in fear. I believe you share the same burden as Buffy. Protecting us all may have hardened your feelings, but I will be here for you.”

Willow and Tara dared not move from each other’s grasp. They took comfort in each other being at their side. The room took on a peaceful and tranquil silence, for a while. Tara wanted to ask Willow a question, but it took courage to ask the question: “What frightened you out there, Willow?”

“Seeing the tower and hearing Lady Elaine erupt, uh, in anger made me worry about becoming a “black-eyed baddie” myself. You know, what if I can’t control it?” Willow murmured, “I know you apologized, but until now, I never realized how truly dark-ish that might get. OH! Grandperé! We have – we have to make sure he’s all right!” Willow shouted, jumping from the couch, still holding Tara’s hand.

“Willow. I- I imagine he will – he will be all right. I am sure Dawn is all over it.” Tara explained.

Meanwhile, at the tower, Dawn was concerned. Grandperé’ heard her voice.

“I’m all right, my friend. Let me get out and we’ll talk at the castle.”

It took a bit, but he reached the Garden.

“What should we do about Lady Elaine?” Dawn asked the French tiger.

“I would leave her alone until your friends deal with her. I understand one of them was quite frightened.” He explained. “Hello, there.”
