~Chapter 3a~

"Are you kidding me? Anya, please tell me you’re kidding me." Buffy whispered, keeping her voice as quiet as possible.
"Why would I kid about that? Buffy, this is a good thing here." Anya frowned and looked down at her baby. "Xander and I have been blessed with Alex, she’s our life...I would not joke about something like that."
"Red and Tara having a baby, wow." Faith smiled. "I know they have Hadley already, but this is huge. This isn’t just about having a baby, it’s about how it was created."
Buffy leaned into Faith and looked at Anya. "Do you think they could’ve created a human life without this ring?"
"Possibly." Anya shrugged and pulled the blanket from her shoulder, holding Alex against her chest as she burped the little one. "Like I said, Tara and Willow are already very powerful witches and they stir up a lot of energy, this ring heightened that. But if they didn’t have the ring, then it probably would’ve taken maybe a year to create a baby without it...and I’m not even sure they would’ve been able to without casting some sort of spell. This is a gift."
"So when are you going to tell them?" Buffy raised an eyebrow at the ex-demon.
"Me?" Anya’s eyes went wide. "Why do I have to tell them?"
"Because you know about it and clearly they don’t." The blonde slayer sat back and crossed her legs.
"Buffy, they’ll figure it out." Anya said. "I can’t just go up to them and say ‘Hey, did you know you have a human growing inside you?’"
"Who has a human growing inside them?" Tori asked, coming out with two glasses of juice and passing one to Faith, with Dawn following her.
"Um...me, I had one!" Anya smiled and looked away from the young couple.
"Right." Dawn smiled and held out a glass to Buffy. "Tori and I will be going out for a bit, then I’m coming back here."
"Does mom know?" Buffy raised an eyebrow.
"I’ll call her later, just letting you know."
"Okay!" Hadley came running into the living room, dragging Xander in by the hand. "We got presents!" Letting go of the older man, she clapped her hands and sat cross legged on the floor. "Only I don’t have presents this time because I was there with Mommy and Mama, so no presents for little old me." She sighed a bit, a small smile gracing her lips.
"Don’t worry kid." Faith knelt down by Hadley’s side. "We know Mama and Mommy, they’ll probably pull something out of their sleeves."
"Like magic?" Hadley’s eyes went wide.
"Like magic." Faith winked and kissed the little girl on the forehead.
"Presents? We get presents? Can I just have money?" Anya asked, settling Alexandra on her lap.
"Wow Anya...investing huh?"
"Yes." Anya said, nodding her head firmly. "I realized once Willow wouldn't pay me for giving her ecstasy that I would need a new way to make money."
Tara and Tori raised an eyebrow at Anya. Hadley just giggled. "Auntie Anya, you can’t give Mommy estasy, that’s Mama’s job." She threw her hand over her mouth and giggled.
Faith smirked and pulled Hadley onto her lap. "So what did you grab the slayers?" She asked cheekily.
"Hey! I asked first." Anya frowned at Faith.
Hadley placed her hand into Faith’s and leaned her head back so it nestled into her shoulder and neck. "Can you and Aunt Buffy Hadley sit me when Mommy and Mama go out tomorrow night?"
Faith chuckled and squeezed the little girl’s body softly. "Of course."
Buffy grinned and leaned over to kiss Faith on the cheek.
"Hello! Presents?" Anya played with her daughter’s small fingers.
"Okay, first, Faith and Buffy, we bought you two a brand new punching bag." Tara smiled.
"Oh! And a horse thingy." Willow beamed.
"Really?" Buffy’s eyes went wide.
"Yup, Mr. Giles should be expecting them at the Magic Shop at the end of the week." Tara said, biting her bottom lip.
"That is so awesome, thanks guys." Faith said sincerely. "You two have to go away more often. Coming back from your Honeymoon, you bought us a new stereo."
"No kidding." Dawn rolled her eyes. "All I got was a necklace."
"The stereo was for their new apartment." Willow said softly. "Dawnie, I’m pretty sure you and Tori will like what Tara and I got you this time."
"And me!" Hadley’s head swung towards her parents, a pout forming on her lips.
"Yes baby girl, and you." Willow apologized.
With a satisfied grin, Hadley snuggled back into Faith's embrace.
"Oh yea?" Tori raised her eyebrow with a smirk. "What did we get? Or did you buy a stereo for my new dorm room?"
"Hopefully it’s better." Tara grinned and held out a box for both Tori and Dawn.
Dawn took hers and shook it. "It’s not another necklace is it?" She teased.
Tori smirked at her girlfriend and opened the box. "Oh. My. God!" She jumped up and pulled out a ticket, watching as Dawn did the same.
"Front row tickets to the Evanescence concert?" Dawn’s eyes were wide. "Are you serious?"
Willow and Tara smiled at each other, nodding their heads.
"Tara! Willow! Thank you so much!" Tori wrapped her arms around the two witches and squeezed them. "How’d-"
"Baby’s got connections." Faith chuckled.
"Thank you." Dawn smiled and hugged Willow and Tara as well. "And I really do love the necklace." She smiled softly.
"Baby’s got connections." Hadley erupted into giggles, mocking Faith.
"What did Alexandra get?" Anya asked excitedly. She couldn’t wait to see what these three brought back for her precious little daughter.
"Well, a gift certificate for Toys R Us." Willow winced, waiting for the ex-demon to explode.
"We know how much you and Xander are picky about the toys Alex will play with, and that’s not a bad thing, so we thought giving you guys this gift certificate, it’ll allow you and Xander to go and pick something out for Alex instead. It doesn’t expire for two years, so you can even wait until she’s a little older." Tara smiled warmly.
"That is a brilliant idea!" Anya smiled. "We get to go out on a family trip, I love bringing Alex out and showing her off."
Willow and Tara both let out breaths of relief.
"So what did Xander and I get?" Anya asked, her smile and tone more soft than before.
"Well...I know that since Alexandra was born, you and Xander haven’t had that much alone time." Willow started, looking at both Xander and Anya. "So, I’m giving you the limo for two days, you can choose the weekend but the driver will take you wherever you want to go. Just let me know because I can book the hotel penthouse for the two of you."
Xander’s eyes went wide. "Wait, what?" He asked, snuggling closer to his wife.
Tara smirked. "You and Anya will get a nice romantic getaway for one weekend. We won’t mind taking Alexandra for the weekend. The offer stands for as long as you need to think about it."
"But the Vacation Resort is the only hotel that has penthouses here in Sunnydale." Anya said. "That’s...expensive."
"I think we can cover it." Willow smiled. "Tara and I talked about it, and we’d be more than happy for you to accept it."
"Accept it? Hell-" Anya closed her eyes and quickly corrected herself before Hadley caught on to the bad word she was saying. "I mean, hello! Penthouse, of course we’ll take it."
"Good." Tara smiled. "Like we said, whenever you want, no rush."
"You sure you don’t mind taking care of baby Willow?" Xander asked, kissing his daughter’s fingers.
"No, not at all." Willow smiled excitedly. "And besides, it’s not like you’re halfway across the world, you’re only ten miles away, if you wanted to come back home, then all you have to do is hop into that limo and come back home."
"Yea, I mean you two haven’t even had a proper honeymoon." Buffy frowned. "Every newlywed deserves that romantic getaway."
Faith smiled at her lover and reached out to hold the blonde slayers hand, bringing it to her lips and kissing the soft flesh.
Buffy blushed and licked her lips.
Both Tori and Dawn’s eyebrows raised at this romantic action shared between the two slayers. Faith wasn’t one to show her softer side in front of all the Scoobies, but she didn’t seem to care at that point.
"Well, I’m going to take my girlfriend out for a nice dessert, celebrating our lovely tickets before I have to move into my dorm tomorrow." Tori stood up and grabbed Dawn’s hand. "We won’t be out late."
Dawn smiled and waved bye as they made an exit.
"I should get my girls to bed too." Xander smiled and kissed Anya on the cheek.
"I’m tired too." Hadley yawned.
Buffy smiled and stood up. "Well come on Had, we’ll get you ready for bed."
"Okay!" Hadley smiled and wrapped her arms around Buffy’s neck as the slayers took off towards her room.
"Oh, before we go..." Anya handed Tara the baby for her to hold. "I want to buy you ladies something, consider it...a thank you or a wedding present or something."
Willow raised her eyebrow. "What is it?"
"I can’t tell you, but I’ll be by with it probably tomorrow sometime." Anya said, her voice traced with mystery.
Tara couldn’t help but feel that whatever Anya was talking about, it was serious. "Can’t you just tell us now?"
"I could." The ex-demon shrugged. "But I won’t. Tomorrow, I promise."
Willow just rolled her eyes and started to play peek-a-boo with Alexandra. "Where’s the baby?" She cooed.
Tara smiled and played along.
"So what’s up?" Xander whispered in his wife’s ear.
"I’ll tell you when we get home." Anya whispered.
Xander nodded and stepped back, watching his best friends play with his baby daughter.

Buffy slid into the bed she shared with Faith, grinning as Faith stripped down and crawled in after her. "That was some slay." She sighed as she felt her lover’s body next to her.
"Yea, I think that last vampire dislocated my shoulder though." Faith winced and moved her shoulder a bit.
"Aww, want me to help you with that?" Buffy asked, running her fingertips up and down Faith’s side.
"Mmm." Faith closed her eyes and smiled blissfully. "Yes please." She whispered huskily as Buffy’s fingers trailed along her back.
"On your stomach." The blonde slayer purred and straddled the brunette’s back. "Why are you so tense?" She asked, working her fingers deep into the tissue.
"Oh God Buffy." Faith moaned into her pillow, her back arching a bit. "That feels so good."
Buffy smirked and began to place soft kisses along her lover’s shoulders. "You kicked ass out there tonight."
"Don’t I-oh mmm-always?" Faith groaned.
"Yes, you always do." Buffy agreed, moving her hands lower, massaging firmly.
"How is this helping my shoulder?" Faith gasped as she felt Buffy’s skin slide against her own.
"Give me time and it’ll help." Buffy smirked, nipping at Faith’s skin.
Faith bucked and was able to turn around so that the blonde was straddling her lower stomach. She smiled when Buffy pouted. "What’s wrong?"
"I was giving you a massage and you stopped me."
"Buffy, you can give me a massage some other time." Faith whispered, her nails making patterns on the blonde’s hips and taut stomach.
"Okay." Buffy sighed, leaning forward and kissing Faith tenderly. "So what did you want to do then?" The glint in her eyes smouldering with lust.
Faith raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Make love to my wife." She whispered, allowing Buffy’s lips to claim her own.
