It seems, to me anyway, Tara is not so much “straddling the fence” now. She made it perfectly clear that time spent on the roof with the brunette was *not* romantic. Maybe Anya’s food for thought is subtly at work in the blonde’s subconscious? Actually, when you’re making out with someone, I would think, it wouldn’t be necessary to scoot close to a heat lamp to get warm. If Willow thought about it she might realize the blond turned to an electrical appliance for warmth as opposed to the “perfect” potential girlfriend. Now my brain just went to a strange place. Oops. Anyway..
I love that Willow gets Tara’s jokes and that she felt comfortable, and confident, enough to press Tara for answers. Great answers btw. The girls are once again communicating and understanding each other. That is so important, not only for a romantic relationship, but for true friendships as well. Tara’s inserted thoughts of “isn’t you” were so adorable. I noticed that when you write Tara’s thoughts, a lot of the time, she stutters. I don't know very much about speech impediments so.. I was wondering if people who stutter.. well, I guess they probably would stutter in thought because it’s like saying the words only in your head instead of out loud so.. ??
Wannablessedbe, Wilderness 1&2, Tales of the Slayer, Four Letter Worlds, Astray.. AHEM.
Okay, I totally get Willow’s plan now, thanks. And I agree with it completely even though I really want smoochies like.. right now. Tara understood that *she* put the smile on Willow’s face; another moment for her to be proud of, and clear indicator to Tara that she is moving in the right direction with Willow. When will they realize they share so much common ground: jokes, food preferences, atmosphere created by fairy lights etc..? And that they are building a solid and lasting relationship without the dreaded “date scenario”? Tara is going to be pleasantly surprised the next time she opens Willow’s door. Yah! Maybe Willow should sweet talk Tara out of one of her paintings..
This was a delicious piece of cake. Needed, wanted, very much appreciated.. Thank you!
