Wow a very gripping, intense update Kris! I must agree I loved the memories/thoughts of pivotal moments of Willow in the beginning (from Tara's POV), and ending with Tara's thoughts (but now from Willow's POV). The way this was incorporated in this part was like book-ends, and fit so well with the complex emotions/actions in this update. Or in other words, in the beginning Tara standing vigil (not wanting to leave Willow for even a moment, even though at the time there was a barrier she couldn't cross with the sign "Authorized Personnel Only"). And at the end with Tara fulfilling Willow's wish to protect Buffy (as well as everyone else) by willingly entering the limo, which timed with Willow opening her eyes.



Really this was a moving, as well as times upsetting addition to the story. I really felt for the gang, just the idea of "organ donation" brings the reality of the situation with Willow into great focus. And I liked how throughout this part the sounds of the machines ("Beeb-beeb...") kept reverberating in Tara's mind. This really brought home the direness of Willow's condition, but I loved how Tara knew her Willow was there inside (needing to be "found"). With this in mind, I look forward to seeing what Madrine plans to do with Tara, and how the gang reacts (especially Willow) when they realize Tara is missing/in danger!

VampNo12: Sorry, I know I harp, but I love your feedback! I’m very happy that a lot of what I tried to do actually turned out as well as it did. As I’ve said before, scripts are easier than narrative, so getting positive responses to things that I tried to do via narrative format is very nice. I like your analogy of bookends with regard to the girls’ memories of one another; very apropo, and I didn’t think about that till you wrote it. Cool! The “beep-beep” and “foosh-thump” I wanted to use over and over because it is something that I remember from personal experience— those sounds, and what they mean, you never forget. I look forward to seeing what Madrine wants w/Tara, too and the Scoobies reactions, as well. . . . Thanks again for the fab-O response!

It was inevitable that with all the angst of my story, my B & C would get a little edgy and anxious and express it. They love to harass and I love to be harassed, so don't think another thought about it! And, now that I've gone and typed it, I must say I'm looking forward to my new writing as well. . . Hmm. . . .
