MadeinNZ, I agree with you. I can feel it, too.

Kath and Beth,

Wonderful update, ladies. ;) WOW... I like what Giles told Buffy about the money. He's so noble. :)

I can't believe there is only two more parts to this Episode. Can't wait for the next update and episode.

Thanks, Ladies.

Great scenes guys! I liked the Giles/Madalene interaction. They are pooling all of their knowledge together in an effort to find the best method/spell to help Willow. Loved the "Crown Jewels" comment by Giles, this just conveyed so well how precious/special Tara truly is. And as for the last scene I loved how Giles solved Buffy's moral dilemma concerning the money (especially liked him saying "And most of all you can see it as the worlds long over due way of saying thank you."). Can't wait to see what happens next!

You can see Giles and Mad's playing big parts in the righting of the wrongs here. They are starting to act as a team and that is what is needed most right now. Giles made excellent points about the case of money and showed his true wisdom once again. It's good to see him back on a more permenant fixture than s6. :)

Thanks for the updates, and yeah I kinda like that their financial problems are over... but in this fic Bufffy has my admiration for being able to do anything to avoid having Willow being taken away by her parents. She is a true hero here.

Wonderful!!

I love this AU series! I am glad Giles told her to keep the money. Dawnie gets to go to college! But I sure there is another shoe to drop, someone of the undead sort might come knocking asking for it back...

I just realized something. Spike is not in this. And I SO don't miss him!

You both are really portraying Willow and Tara's road to recovery in a very realistic matter. Something we would never get to see on TV. This is great.

Keep up the great work both of you. Can't wait to see if Tara can fill Willow's holes. Wait. That was a lot less pornographic in my head. ;)

An end to the financial woes for Buffy. I think she deserves it after shouldering the financial responsiblity for Willow's care.

Glad to see that Madalene and Giles are working together, albeit from different viewpoints, to find a way for Tara to help her girl.

Postby KathleenWolf » Tue Jul 30, 2002 4:03 pm

morning everyone... just me checking in to catch up...

Latsric: laugh... well as it's just Beth and Me anyone getting any leaked information should definately be looked at a bit skeptically :) ... we do strive very hard to try to keep the pure nature of the characters in the story while evolving them to the current situation... so thank you

Imperfectly Me: we agree they do need a thank you/payback... after all it should be the councils job to 'pay' the slayer but we know that bunch let up on their duty along time ago

Jen: :) we try to makes sure we are with at least a 10 page lead time in this series... much less then we are used to but with the season arc fleshed out in our minds the episode specifics play off themselves so we can manage with it that way... and oh yes ep 3 almost done, mmm is this when I spoil the next eps Title? laugh nope just have to see if TV Guide picks us up ;)

TheRose24: thank you for your faith in us... I think most of the time we write our characters into corners and then let them get themselves out so this has been the same but they are doing great so far... ahhh so sweet, we'll always try to live up to the readers hopes for the story

Mollyig: we are huge advocates of Buffy coming both to terms with her own station in the world and her realization that she is not just 'the slayer' but an important source of strength and everday protection in the life of her friends and family... we are so glad that is coming across... and yes the combined input of Mads and Giles is needed to find a solution, if one thing the gang needs to learn its going off solo never helps anyone

Grimaldi: Xander is a character we've always loved cause he's a real guy, whose not always right on the top of whats going on but he's always been the first one there to get his butt kicked if need be... we're so glad that we're able to make him more likable, it was definatly one of our goals for the season

Girl ORG: :lol I didn't know I was that transparent... all I will say is that your suggestions of bring Faith in and the B/F pairing are definately not taken off the table of possible... we have written B/F in several of our fics so you never know

LeatherQueen: he did indeed... in fact for him it was a no brainer... we thought it was the definate support that she needed to make her decsion

Kalita: oh yes... one of the big weights of S6... though we didn't want to make Buffy a millionaire, we didn't think the set up dropping a little nest egg in her lap was unreasonable... oh course it depends on if the Brothers come back to cause trouble too ;)

Tulipp: :) we did want Buffy to appear sweet there and possibly though a little slow at least thinking of the others and how situations affect them

Pixie_gismock: thank you :D ... you for one know how worried we were about the money... ahhh and so sweet with the hugs and such (meds even) ... hope you and your sweetie are doing well :) and I manage to catch up with you online soon

Puff: they are indeed and we're so happy you agree :)

MissQuirky: we so thought Buffy deserved the money, and Giles' opinion has always meant alot to her... a fact we'd like to underline to Giles so that he knows how important he is to the group

MadeinNZ: :D oh yes have faith in the Willow cure... and Tara will be the most important ingredient

VampNO12: Madalene and Giles' input into a possible Willow cure will play a very vital role (though I won't spoil the upcoming ep :D ) they are by far at the moment the two with the most knowledge about such things, even with Mads treasure of information being mostly hidden... the most important thing is indeed that Tara is precious and unlike the hasty decsion with Willow they need to tread carefully now and think of consequences

spazz07: :) we are so glad to be able to bring Giles back... we felt his departure was poorly motivated and badly written so to be able to displace the S6 reasons and clear up the wounds his desertion caused is a big relief to us

singgirl: :) we like to rock... thank you! and I think update will be later today to end this ep

Miss1234kitty: she does... probalby alot more than that but its a good downpayment

WiccansIllusion: laugh... smut eh? :D well we do have plays for intimacy for sure, it just has to be the right time and with both our girls being in the right place... of course we are talking to one of the cable channels to host a more *cough* mature episode ... and of course unlike Seeing Red this time sex will not in any way bring on the death of destruction of a character... that we can promise!

xita: exactly how we feel to be honest... Buffy has played the world's hero for so many years but for herself maybe more than anyone she needed to truely be an everyday hero to her family and do the hard jobs so that those she loved were cared for

WebWarlock: mmmm yes Spike... laugh... well I have to admit that his absence is a conscious choice on our part... no offense to anyone but I'm not a great Spike fan, though I think it is possible he might show his face much later in the season, the position that he's been put in from S6 leaves very limited options in our minds so we are reserving dealing with him until necessary... :lol mmmm I'm sure Tara will fill the magical holes and well as already requested smut hopefully in the future as well to fill the pornographic needs ;)

okay enough out of me... thank you to everyone for reading

glad that Giles told Buffy to keep the money, she deserves it for saving the world so many times, and glad that Buffy is going to give some to charity. it was sweet of Giles to call Tara the human equivalent of the Crown Jewels, it shows how much she means to him and the Scoobies.

yipee! i'm back! (for as long as my comp hold out) and i say 'way to go ladies!' this is fabulous, and that giles told her to keep the money, excellent. she needed someone of authority to her to tell her to keep it, and he did! yipee! but i can't help but add: two more parts!? TWO??? ladies, that just won't do. when are you planning on writing the next episode? and the teaser really was a big fat hairy tease, wasn't it? i don't see that happening in two parts (*grumble, grumble*two parts left*grumble*)

BUT....thank you for the wonderful updates which i live for!

Hey, I like the way you are doing this. That's a good way to plan ahead for yourselves, to flesh everything out. :) It just seems like you just started this though. WOW... it's been a hell of a ride.

yes, it's almost the end but don't worry!

Postby KathleenWolf » Tue Jul 30, 2002 9:45 pm

hi everyone... just wanted to jump in and give a little outline for the furture...

yes, I didn't get the number wrong... only 2 scenes left... and no we didn't go away from the teaser :evil ... mostly cause this wasn't the ep with the solution this was the ep with the shadows :D

We have made the executive decsion that eps should be around 100 pages long... which for the way I break them in terms of parts that are on the website 3 parts... as we post here on Kitten in scenes it makes it seem less or more accordingly... so this ep is over and the next ep will continue on directly from it... though for all appearances sake SOT will have a definate cliffhanger

We've got a begining written for episode four, so we are in fact already writing it so no worries about major lag time... the teaser is already done and ready to be put up into the next thread when SOT is finished... but we don't like to get too ahead of ourselves...

now back to the thank yous...

oneinten: oh I think Willow's head is a scary place at the moment but we'll get a very clear look in the next episode

Grimaldi: thank you... this ep was muchly about Tara getting stronger and the gang around her getting stronger in order to support the journey that will be fixing Willow

funkyasian: yes bills will be a demon that Buffy can now slay with much more ease... after all she's going to have alot to worry about :)

Loco2: Hi :D welcome back, so sad that your puter is poorly... I hope it gets better soon... oh now come on it wasn't a big fat hairy tease but it was a teaser... :lol okay maybe that makes it a tease but we included all the elements, which were almost 100% dreamscape I think... but we promise the next teaser will tease even more ;)

JennPurr: it was a bumpy ride wasn't it... I hope we filled in enough sweet stuff though :) and I guarantee that ep 4 has a title that will hold many meanings :evil we thought very long and hard before we settled on one and we are so excited about it... mmmm you know all this unsupervised time and I'm getting so close to blurting it out... Beth baby you better come reel me in ;)

okay enough out of rambling me... thanks to everyone for reading... kath

Shadows of Twilight - The End

Postby Beth Dragon » Tue Jul 30, 2002 11:16 pm

(not much of a chat from me before the end of the ep - 'cause I know you all want the scenes - I'm poorly too so I'll just slink off and let you enjoy. Much love to you all Beth)

Tara reached out and lightly took hold of Madalene’s hands as she glanced up at the Spellcaster who was sat opposite to her.

“Ready?” Madalene asked her voice a whisper.

Tara briefly looked around the room taking in the carefully marked out pentagram in which both she and Madalene sat. Its edges marked out clearly in blue and red sand, while candles burned in each point and incense smoke drifted lazily towards the ceiling.

Tara’s blue eyes then settled in the corner of the room on Willow. The redhead was sleeping peacefully on a white-sheeted mattress, her breathing even and regular.

“I’m ready.” She drew her eyes back to Madalene.

The Spellcaster nodded and squeezed Tara’s hands lightly as she began her chanting. A moment later Tara added her voice to Madalene’s and from the carefully marked spell area a thick grey mist rose. It merged with the smoke from the candles, circling the casting pair before it solidified into a misty arm that snaked out of the circle towards the bed.

As it reached the mattress the mist bled out of solid form to encircle the bed completely as their chanting and the spell continued. On the bed the redhead’s body began to rise off the mattress the light mist swirling round and under her, supporting her up without disturbing her sleep.

Tara quickly glanced over to the bed and then back at Madalene as the words of their careful chant came to an end.

“How long does it take till I’m in?” Tara asked of the Spellcaster but an answer was cut short as the floating of figure of the redhead stopped breathing for a moment, the absence noticeable in the quite room. The silence seemed to find a hold for a moment before with a slow deep gasp she seemed to wake again.

“They say the first taste gives you a high you never quite get back.” Willow whispered her eyes blinking open to reveal dark black pupils and within the smoke her hair seemed to slowly darken to midnight black. “But I swear that this is just as delicious.” She arched up against the cushion of air under her and licked her lips slowly as if gaining great pleasure from the smoke.

In a quick sure movement Willow’s body pitched upright and stepping down off the elevation it was as she stepped through a doorway. Her simple white cotton shirt and pale green skirt melted off her body and were instantly replaced by black thigh high boots and a short black dress, a ribbon of pure black silk lacing the bodice of the tight material around her stomach and breasts.

“Thank you for waking me up darling.” Willow walked over through the spell circle kicking over a candle without any regard for the power contained there. “I’ll be with you in just a second, one thing to take care of first.” With a flick of her body she turned and from her hand a fireball shot out heading straight for Madalene.

Having had no time to react, the flames engulfed the Spellcaster’s body and though she tried to scream the sound was absorbed as the flames swelled back towards Willow’s still open hand and with the flames Madalene was consumed into the dark witch.

Tara’s blue eyes grew wide with horror and fear as all that had once been Madalene just disappeared.

“Yummy.” Willow sighed happily and licked her lips as she travelled the outside of the spell circle kicking over candles. “You always brought me the best presents.” She stopped directly opposite of Tara.

“I want to h-h-h-help you baby.” Tara forced herself to speak.

“Oh you have.” Willow’s red lips curled into a broad smile. “And now I’m going to help you, time to dance on the dark side with me darling.” She threw her arm out again sending another fireball at Tara.

Tara watched in despair as the flaming sphere filled her vision twisting and turning in an almost beautiful and mesmerising way.

“It won’t hurt, well it might sting at first.” Willow’s voice whispered through the flames as it got closer. “But then I’ll make it all better.”

Though Tara knew there was no way she could prepare or brace for the impact but she couldn’t stop the natural reaction as all the muscles in her body tensed as she pushed herself backwards

“No, Willow! NO!”

******

Tara’s blue eyes snapped open. She was sweating and panting, her heart hammered in her ears. In a panic she looked around the still room, the dim light from the plug in night-light filling the area with a comforting soft blue glow.

Nothing was out of place, disturbed or anyway other than it should be. Beside her Willow slept peacefully, the pills for now keeping her nightmares at bay.

Forcing her breath to slow and even out, the Wicca let her gaze settle on her beloved. Leaning over she placed a gentle kiss on Willow’s cheek and then eased out of the bed, needing to stretch out her tense muscles. The images from her nightmare burned into her mind and memory.

Walking carefully around the bed she sipped some water from the glass on Willow’s bedside table as she watched her lover sleep.

“Magic’s not the way.” She said sadly dropping her head.

Gotta say that scared the you know what out of me. Still figure the only way Willow and Tara can be whole again is when they reconnect, when they finally make love. Their hearts and souls will once again reconnect and beat as one. This is the only way to sqash the darkness, fill the holes and release all the memories. Just my two cents.

And, yet, I just can't seem to care
