Anyway, since I don't think you wanna keep hearing me speak... I'll leave you to the Chapter....
CHAPTER 29- Surprise!!!Faith kept her head turning constantly, looking in all directions where there were shadows in case vampires were lurking in search of victims to literally, bleed dry.
“Dude, this is dead,” Faith complained. They haden’t seen not even one vampire while patrolling that night.
Willow, who was walking by her side, nodded and Giles nodded as well.
“Indeed, the lack of vampires cannot mean something good,” Giles agreed.
“Ya think, Giles?” Willow joked.
Faith stopped walking and held out an arm. Willow and Giles stopped walking and pulled out stakes.
There was a sudden roar from not too far ahead of the trio. Ten of the black cloaked bloodsucking fiends suddenly appeared from out of nowhere and surrounded them.
“Guess the game’s on guys,” Faith said as she reached for the stake that was tucked into the rear of her leather pants.
The Dark Slayer quickly dived into battle with three vamps at the same time while Willow and Giles turned to face the others. The redhead suddenly found herself face to face with one of the most vicious vampires she had ever encountered. Its face was badly burned. It resembled a beef burger more than a face and yellow pus came from open wounds on its face.
Willow reacted quickly and lifted her hands in the air, hurried to say a spell under her breath and flames flew from her hands straight to the ugly vamp, which turned to ashes in less than a second.
“Giles, Faith DOWN!” Willow yelled, sweat started covering her body as she fought to maintain the spell long enough to throw more flames at the others vampires.
Giles and Faith dropped to the ground as six of the vampires were turned to dust in a matter of seconds. Willow lowered her hands, her breathing short and elaborated, and pulled out a knife that Faith had given her and a stake. She was tired and her body felt like it was on fire but she was going to keep fighting. Giles jumped to his feet and talked a vampire, sending them both to the ground.
Faith, back on her feet, was in her element fighting two of the vamps left after Willow’s spell. She punched the first one hard in the face before wrapping her arms round it’s neck and using it to provide momentum aiding her to swing around and kick another of the vamps in the head. While the one she kicked was lying dazed on the ground, she whipped out her stake from the rear of her pants and stabbed it into the non-beating heart of the blood-sucking monster.
Whilst still in the stabbing position over the vamp on the floor the first that she had punched had recovered and kicked her in the ribcage, winding her.
“FUCK! You mother fucker…” she muttered rising and quickly aimed kicks of her own at its sternum and groin. Then while it was still getting back its balance, Faith dusted it. By her reckoning there was only two left.
Willow ducked behind a large headstone and the vampire’s fist collided with the stone. Using the headstone to impulse her, she kicked the vampire’s ribs making him bend and fall on his knees. She was about to dust him when Faith yelled not to dust him yet.
“What?”
Faith ran to her and kicked the vampire in the head hard enough to make him loose consciousness.
“We need to know more about them,” was all Faith said before she ran to Giles to get the vampire off her Watcher.
Again, she kicked the vampire in the head hard enough to leave him unconscious and extended her hand for Giles to take.
“Thank you, Faith,” Giles said and got up from the ground.
Faith quickly dusted the vampire and then they walked towards where Willow was, watching over the unconscious vampire.
“What are we gonna do with him?” Willow asked.
“Let’s take him to that mausoleum,” Faith said. She grabbed his arms and let Giles grab his feet.
They carried the unconscious vampire to the mausoleum. After Faith broke the lock of the door and made sure it was empty, they dragged him inside and Willow bounded him with magic to a column.
“Again I ask, what are we gonna do with him?” Willow asked.
Faith pulled out the spare stake she had in her back pocket.
“Give me the knife I gave ya,” Faith said.
“What for?” Willow asked and didn’t give it to her.
“Give it to me, Red,” Faith said firmly.
“Faith, what are you planning to do?” Giles asked.
“Gonna make him sing,” was all Faith said and the Slayer looked away.
“What? Faith, are you…Oh.” Willow took a deep breath.
“I will take care of it,” Giles said. “Give me the knife, Willow.” The Watcher and the Witched looked at each other and finally Willow nodded, giving him the knife. “You and Faith should go out and make sure there are not more vampires.”
“Let’s go, Faith,” Willow said and turned to leave but Faith didn’t follow her. “Let’s go, Faith!” Willow repeated firmly.
Faith looked at Giles frowning for another second before following Willow out of the mausoleum.
“What the fuck was that, Red? That didn’t look like Giles,” Faith said.
“Because that was Ripper, that wasn’t Giles,” was all Willow said.
Faith stopped dead in her tracks and looked at Willow wide eyed.
“Fuck…”
“Yeah. Let’s sit here and wait for him,” Willow said and sat on a small headstone.
Faith sat by her side and they waited in silence.
“So…how’s Blondie?” Faith asked, breaking the silence.
“She’s great. We’ve been going crazy with the nursery but it’s so worthy,” Willow said and smiled instantly. “And you? How you been with Dawn? I ask because it’s not like we see either of you much anymore,” Willow joked.
Faith chuckled.
“Yeah well...Not my fault, trust me. Most of the time we’re in D’s place-”
“I don’t wanna know,” Willow cut her off and chuckled.
“Watching TV, Red,” Faith finished her sentence and chuckled again. “I think D’s spending a lot of time with me ‘cause she won’t once your baby is here. She’ll be all the time cooin’ and spoilin’ your kid,” Faith added and both of them share a laugh.
“Yeah. I know,” Willow agreed and nodded. “Our baby is going to be really spoiled.”
“Look, the G-man’s comin’,” Faith said and they both stood up.
Giles looked tired and there was blood all over his shirt. He was holding something in his hand that he quietly gave Willow. It was a medallion of two pentagrams joined by a snake.
“Did he say anything?” Willow asked, trying hard to ignore the fact that Giles’s shirt was covered with blood.
“The Order of Judas,” Giles replied.
“Do you know what that is, Giles?” Faith asked, looking at the medallion in Willow’s hands.
“I am afraid I do not. We must do research,” was all Giles said before walking towards Faith’s car as he took off his shirt and was left with nothing but a white t-shirt he was wearing underneath.
“Should we…say anything?” Willow whispered to Faith as they walked a few feet behind the Watcher. Faith shook her head.
“He needs to be alone,” was all Faith said and Willow understood.
*********************************************************************************************
The next afternoon, Tara was lying on her back, her almost six months pregnant belly was rounded and she kept insisting it was too big. She and Willow were waiting for Carolina to see if everything was okay with the baby. So far, the couple of tests they had made were all perfectly okay.
They had already decided to use the bedroom next to theirs as a nursery and Tara had already painted a forest with trees and flowers and birds on the walls. They had gotten a crib already, a chest of drawers and a changing table all hand made by Xander.
Carolina asked Tara to lift her blouse. Willow, as usual, helped her and the blonde shivered when Carolina applied the cold gel on her belly.
“Okay, here we go…” Carolina said and the tiny image of their baby appeared on screen. Willow and Tara smiled widely at the image of their baby… “Ready to hear the heart beat for the first time?”
Both Witches nodded energetically and Carolina pressed a button. A strong steady rhythm filled the room.
Willow noticed that the heart beat was irregular so she frowned.
“Carolina, what’s wrong? Why does it sound like that? Is there something wrong?” Willow asked, alarmed.
“Is there something wrong?” Tara asked.
“No, there’s nothing wrong. That sound…is your other baby,” Carolina said, sounding and looking completely impressed.
“What?” Both Tara and Willow asked at the same time.
“Yes…” Carolina moved the little device, looking for the other baby. Another form appeared on the screen finally. “There it is. Oh my God, I can’t believe this. You’re having twins.”
“Twins? As in…two babies?” Willow asked.
“Yes,” Carolina confirmed.
Once again, Willow’s eyes rolled back into her head and everything went black…
*********************************************************************************************
Willow felt dizzy, her eyes were closed but she could feel the world spinning. The redhead finally opened her eyes and once again, her eyes met Tara’s.
“Déjà vu…” Willow whispered. “Tare, I had the weirdest dream ever.”
Tara bit her lip, just like she had done months ago. Willow sat up and looked around. They were still in the sonogram room, Tara was sitting on a chair next to the bed.
“That wasn’t a dream, was it?” Willow asked.
Tara shook her head.
“No, it wasn’t,” Tara replied.
Willow’s eyes widened.
“Tara, we’re having twins! Two babies!”
“I know. Are you mad, Willow?” Tara asked.
“Mad? No, I’m not. I just…shocked,” Willow answered. “Twins!”
Tara sat by her side and Willow grabbed her hand just as Carolina entered the room with an ice pack.
“Good, you’re awake. Put it on your head, Willow.” Carolina handed the redhead the ice pack. “You can’t keep fainting, you know?” Carolina joked.
“Have somebody tell you that your girlfriend is pregnant with twins and let’s see if you don’t pass out,” Willow said.
Carolina let out a small laugh.
“So I am forced to say this…Go Willow, go Tara. You girls have seriously impressed me,” Carolina said.
“How come we didn’t notice another baby before?” Willow asked.
“Because it was hidden by the other baby. This was the first time we heard the heart beat, so I’m not surprised. And if we remember the circumstances in which you Tara became pregnant, well, it’s not a big surprise,” Carolina said.
“What you mean?” Willow asked.
“You told me you were given the capacity to create life for a fraction of time. The body, every time one person is having sex, gets ready for reproduction. In your case, since the reproduction cycle doesn’t get completed, your bodies have that extra…pent up energy, if you want to call it that way.”
'That would explain why we go at it like bunnies,' Willow thought and couldn’t help to giggle. Tara glared at her as if she knew exactly what Willow was thinking.
“So you mean that is why I’m pregnant with twins?” Tara asked, looking back at Carolina.
“According to what you told me, yes. That would be the most logical explanation,” Carolina replied.
“So both babies are okay, right? I mean, I know you said they were but-”
“They’re better than okay. Right size, weight, everything looked normal,” Carolina confirmed with a smile.
“Good, I’m glad,” Tara said.
“It’s awesome,” Willow added and smiled at Tara.
*********************************************************************************************
“We can totally go shopping for another crib tomorrow. We haven’t bought any clothes except the ones I got but we could look into it. Oh! Oh! And we could get one of those strollers for twins, those are so cute! What do you think they will be? Two boys? Two girls? Boy and girl? That would be perfect! That would be cool because we’d have both and it would be like…balanced, don’t you think? What do you think? Baby, are you okay?”
Willow had been babbling while driving back to their house. The redhead pulled over as soon as she could and turned to look at Tara.
“Tara, baby, are you okay?” She saw tears in Tara’s eyes. “Oh baby…you’re not happy that we’re having twins?”
Tara looked at her with tears in her eyes.
“I am. I’m really happy, Willow. It’s just…I can’t believe it. Twins…two babies,” Tara said.
“We are, Tare, everything is going to be okay. I promise. Just, please…Are you sure you’re okay with this?” Willow asked.
“Of course I am. I was ready to be a mother. For us to be mothers together. I’m just a bit shocked still. We’re going to have twins, I can’t believe it…I’m so…I’m so happy,” Tara said.
Willow reached out and grabbed Tara’s hand. The redhead lifted her lover’s hand and placed a short sweet kiss on the back of Tara’s hand.
“It’s okay, baby. I get it,” Willow said.
“How are you about this? You passed out…again,” Tara said and frowned slightly.
Willow smiled.
“I did but I’m so happy about it! Twins! We’re having twins! And we can but all these matching super cute outfits for them! And they’re going to be like…a mini-Tara! I’m going to have two mini-Tara! And Goddess, you’re the most wonderful woman in the world!” Willow finished with a look of utter adoration and love in her face.
Tara laughed.
“You say that because I’ll be the one pushing them out of my body,” Tara joked.
Willow laughed as well.
“That and I love you,” Willow said.
Both Wiccans moved at the same time. They met half-way and shared a short sweet kiss.
“Dawn must be in her house already. Wanna go and tell her?” Willow suggested. She felt like screaming it from the rooftop, she wanted the world to know Tara was pregnant with her babies and that she loved her…no, she loved
THEM, the three of them…
“Yeah, let’s go,” Tara said. She really wanted to share that wonderful news with her Dawnie first.
They drove to the house in silence, both basking in their love and the feeling of their joined hands. They left the car in their driveway and went to the house next door. Dawn had insisted in them keeping their keys, in case something happened, but they had decided they would only use them in case of emergency, nothing else. They respected Dawn’s privacy after all…and they just knew they would end up walking in on her and Faith at some point so they wanted to avoid that…
Tara knocked on the door and they waited. They heard a loud thud and what sounded like somebody running upstairs. Willow and Tara looked at each other, both raising an eyebrow in questioning.
“Hey, guys!” Faith opened the door, sounding way to perky to be her, and led them to the living room. Faith sat on the couch as Willow and Tara sat on the armchair. “What’s up, guys?”
“Well, we had some news to share with Dawn and you,” Willow said and tried hard to hold back the threat of giggles that were about to erupt from her mouth.
Faith looked completely flushed and didn’t seem to be able to stay in one position. She kept shifting on the couch and was completely avoiding to look her them.
“Good news? That’s great. Did ya find anything on the vamps?”
“No, we haven’t gotten lucky on that,” Willow said, a little frustration in her words.
Willow took another look at Faith and couldn’t help to start giggling like a school girl. Tara hid her face in the crock of Willow’s neck to try not to laugh.
“What?” Faith had the feeling they were laughing at her.
Willow couldn’t stop giggling. The redhead pointed to her own neck and Faith grabbed her cell phone from the coffee table, using it as a mirror. She had a huge love bite right over her pulse point…
“Fuck! D, what the fuck!” Faith stood up looking pissed. The Slayer looked at the ceiling. “Dawn! Get your ass here right now!”
“She ran upstairs, didn’t she?” Willow guessed.
“Yeah.”
Dawn entered the living room. She was way too embarrassed to look up. Her face was completely red and was avoiding to look at Willow or Tara.
“Hey, guys,” was all Dawn was able to say. She knew they knew. She knew Willow and Tara knew what they been doing before they got there…and she didn’t like to know that they knew…
“You better have enough make-up upstairs,” Faith said. She wasn’t really pissed but it was annoying to deal with the hickeys. And she knew Dawn loved to mark her, not that she needed to though…
“Why?” Dawn looked up and her blush got even darker. “Oh…I’m sorry?”
“I thought we agreed to the
‘no hickeys’ rule,” Faith said and looked at her girlfriend with a raised eyebrow.
Dawn frowned and pouted, sticking out her bottom lip.
“I’m really, really sowy?” Dawn said in a small child-like voice.
Faith narrowed her eyes. She had to fight hard to not kiss Dawn’s pout away. The Slayer wasn’t going to admit it out loud, of course, but she loved it when Dawn’s pouted. And she had the feeling that Dawn knew it so she did it on purpose…
“We’ll talk about this later,” was all Faith said before going upstairs. Dawn waited until her girlfriend was gone but burst out giggling. She looked at Willow and Tara.
“She’s not really pissed. But she’s going to try to get even later,” Dawn said and started giggling again.
“Okay, I don’t need to know about this,” Willow said. “We have awesome news.”
“We just came from out appointment with Carolina,” Tara added.
Tara pulled out the folder where they kept the sonograms and handed the two pictures to Dawn. The brunette smiled.
“Aww, how cute. They gave you a copy? Can I keep it?” Dawn asked, excited.
“The other is not a copy,” Willow said.
“It’s the…other baby,” Tara commented.
Dawn frowned until realization hit her like a ton of bricks and her eyes widened.
“Two babies?” The former Key asked, as if not believing it.
Tara nodded.
“Twins. We’re having twins,” Tara confirmed.
“OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! TWINS!” Dawn squealed and jumped up and down, excited.
Tara and Willow stood up. Dawn hugged Tara gently and then she squeezed Willow.
“You’re having twins! I can’t believe it! Congratulations, guys,” Dawn said. “Faith! Faith! Come here!” Dawn yelled.
Faith ran downstairs and looked around, as if trying to see a demon about to attack them.
“What happened?” Faith asked.
“Look at this! Twins!” Dawn squealed and showed her the two pictures.
Faith grabbed the two sonograms and the Slayer looked at them, obviously surprised.
“Twins? For real?” She looked at Willow and Tara.
“The second baby was hiding behind the first baby,” Tara said.
“Holy shit! Wow…Twins, T, that’s…awesome. Congratulations, guys,” Faith said.
Incredibly, Faith hugged Tara gently.
“Seriously…That’s awesome,” Faith said honestly.
“Thank you, Faith,” Tara said, smiling at her friend’s honesty.
“Thank you, Faith and wow, no jokes?” Willow said and smiled.
“I’m thinkin’ and laughin’ in my head, Red,” Faith joked.
After a few minutes of talking Willow and Tara went to their house. They took off their shoes and Willow laid down on the couch. Tara laid down on her back and smiled when Willow placed her hand on her lover’s pregnant belly. The redhead’s hand sneaked under Tara’s blouse and started to caress Tara’s belly as usual.
“Baby, I love you, did I tell you that?” Willow said and placed a short kiss on Tara’s clavicle.
“I love you too, Willow,” Tara said.
Willow lowered her head and rested her cheek against Tara’s belly, being careful not to press on it.
“We already love you, babies. You sure gave us a surprise but we can’t wait for you guys to be here,” Willow whispered to Tara’s belly. “Mom and mommy love you two, so much…”
And then they both could feel it…one small kick inside Tara’s belly followed by another small kick...Willow’s head shot up and looked at Tara wide eyed. Tara’s eyes were wide open as well and her mouth was opened in shocked.
“Did they just…” Willow tried to say but couldn’t finish.
“Kicked. Their first kicked! Oh Goddess, Willow, they kicked!” Tara’s eyes filled with tears and so did Willow’s.
“My Goddess, they kicked…I can’t believe this…” For the first time in her life, Willow didn’t know what to say…
Willow simply leaned in and placed a sweet loving kiss on Tara’s lips, her hand never leaving Tara’s belly. The blonde Wiccan answered instantly, moving her lips against Willow’s and entwining her fingers with the fiery red hair she loved so much…
“You make so happy, Tara. And you and out babies…you’re just the most amazing thing that ever happened to me,” Willow whispered against Tara’s lips.
“I feel that way too, Willow. You…you saved me, and not just from them. You save me from myself, from my fears and insecurities. And now our babies…I don’t know what I did to deserve all this but I have it and I love you, so much,” Tara’s said, her voice cracking up a little.
“You deserve the world, Tara,” Willow said and rested her head in the crock of Tara’s neck.
“You are the world to me, Willow,” Tara whispered but she knew Willow had heard her.
Willow looked at her and they kissed again. It was perfect, every little kiss felt like the first…pure bliss and perfection… it was life…
*********************************************************************************************
“Willow? I was thinking…”
They were still in the same position on the couch. Willow’s head was resting on Tara’s chest, hearing the peaceful heart beating. Her hand never left Tara’s belly, she couldn’t keep it away…
“What is it, baby?”
“I was thinking that we could, you know…ask Faith to be the other baby’s Godmother,” Tara said.
“Faith? Um, baby, I know she’s your best friend but I thought we would ask Xander,” Willow said.
“You want Xander? Um, okay, no problem, then,” Tara said and gave her a small smile.
“No, wait. You want Faith?” Willow propped herself on her elbow and looked at her lover.
“Well, besides you…Faith
IS my best friend. You know that. But don’t worry. Xander deserves it,” Tara said. She knew that it was true, Xander did deserve it. He had been like an older brother for both of them for years. She just couldn’t help to think about Faith first… She wanted Faith to be part of her family. She couldn’t help it. They had so many things in common, not just their pasts…
“Baby, we should talk about this. I mean-” Willow was cut off by Tara’s finger pressed against her lips.
“No. Don’t worry. Xander deserves it and he will be a proud Godfather,” Tara said.
“But-”
“No. Xander is like a big brother to us, so he’s perfect,” Tara said, cutting her off again.
“You’re sure?” Willow asked.
“I am,” Tara said and smiled at her.
“You’re the best, baby…” Willow leaned in and kissed her again.

Okay, that was the Chapter, guys!!!!!!! I hope you liked it!!!!!
