on to much happier topics....
7 things i liked about star wars:ATOC
1. It's visually stunning. The chase scene at the start was way beetter than the pod race. The rest of the effects were nice too.
2. Jar Jar Binks has gone from a supporting player in the first film to an extra in this one. I guess despite what he says, George Lucas does listen to fan reaction. (unlike some people i know
)
3. I like the way it's like one of those cheesy 50s B-movies, where a hero/heroine who gets knocked completely unconscious is suddenly up and about at full strength the next second.
4. You will actually believe Hayden Christensen is the grown up version of Jake Lloyd. From his wooden delivery of his annoying and cliched "I'm a bratty rebellious teen" lines, it feels like they went to the same acting school.
5. It isn't as long as Pearl Harbor or the Postman.
6. Amidala's conveniently torn white jump suit. Oh and natalie portman's abs.
7. a big crush on Yoda I have. hmmmm? Small people rock!
On the whole, much much better than phantom menace but not at the same level as Empire strikes back. George still can't write dialogue or direct actors. He should stick to editing and visual effects and let other people do the rest.
